He then charged me an extra 150 dollars on top of the extra money he got from my insurance company, because he lied about how much the insurance company pays for labor. He also said he charges extra 150 dollars because of the superior work that his business does as opposed to other auto body shops. On top of all this, I had to bring my car back to the shop because they did not properly finish the job and reconnect rear lights which is a safety issue his excuse was my technician said that the car was all set. That is terrible and shorty work on his part to let that car leave his shop with the break lights not working! I would never take another car there because of the poor quality of work and the greed of the owner Dave, who cares about making money and screwing people over rather than just being honest and doing quality work for the money that they are allotted through the insurance company.In closing, he stated to me that I just have to submit paperwork to my insurance company to retrieve my 150 dollars back. The insurance company laughed at me and said he straight lied to you, and NO OTHER AUTO BODY SHOP ON THE BORTH SHORE CHARGES ANY ADDITIONAL FEE.

I paid early, upfront 792 dollars for the replacements. I picked up my car later that night and knew something felt off. Thank god I made it across the busy rode to my parking garage when the front left tire flew off of my car causing significant damage to the front of my car to the point I could not open my drivers side door. Not to mention how shaken up I was after the incident. I was VERY lucky I didn't hurt myself or someone else. If I had kept driving down 114 or my tire didn't hold on as long, this would have been a serious accident. After a nightmare of trying to get my car towed, I returned it to the shop and spoke with Jim who said he would fix it. The next morning I was told my car would be repaired and my back brakes would be replaced for free for the inconvenience- not at my request. I did not want my back brakes replaced. He was not able to get me a rental car due to "high demand." I was told that the workers were rushed that afternoon and distracted- they forgot to tighten the lug nuts... I expressed my frustration about how I deserved a bit more compensation for not having a car for over 4 days, the damage my car had been put through as well as the severity of the mistake. I was met with condescending remarks such as "what could have happened and what happened are two different things," "you're making a mountain out of a mole hill" and "I'll put your old tires back on if that's what you want." You would think a business owner whose negligent mistake could have seriously injured or killed someone would have a bit more pride and respect than that. I felt incredibly belittled and downplayed. Ironic how their website lists the word "integrity"... He even refused to cover my Uber expenses over the weekend and told me he would only cover the trips to and from work even though I had other plans I needed my car for. Not once did he ask to meet me in person, sincerely apologize, or ask for photos. He only seemed to care about himself and not the customer. He bulldozed over my concerns and was incredibly defensive. In the end he refused to pay for my transportation over the weekend. I only got my money back because he agreed to put my old tires back on and take back the new ones. His insurance will now take care of the rest of the damages and transportation fees. Needless to say, I will never be back to this shop. It was a complete headache and waste of my time. Hopefully this accident does not cause further issues for my car. I encourage anyone who contemplates using AV repair to please not jeopardize their safety. There are many other trustworthy mechanics out there who will keep you safe and not treat their customers this way! Safety is not their priority at the business. This was a significant mistake that I hope does not happen to anyone else.

And this was the response from "Herman S.": "Hi ; You have to come by an we can take look and give you an estimate. We are open tomorrow 10am to noon." So I hopped in the car and drove 30 minutes for the quote. A couple of guys came out, looked at the car, took the VIN, all my personally identifiable information and gave it to their boss... who promptly told me he won't do it because he doesn't use customer provided front bumpers. Apparently customer provided OEM bumpers don't work just the bumpers he orders. It's his shop and that's fine. What's not fine was that he wasted an hour of my time for something he literally could have said in a Yelp message. And now I'm left wondering what they plan on doing with my VIN, home address, phone number, and e-mail. I just read his response. I literally had never been to this area of Tewksbury before let alone his shop.

As a courtesy, Herman matched a two way Uber ride cost to rent his rental car for 2 days. Parts ordered ahead of time with a credit card deposit over the phone. I dropped off the vehicle on Wednesday and picked it up on Friday- very smooth, and satisfied by the quality of work. Herman also glued a metal part in the trunk that was loose. Highly recommend. Now I have an address to have my car towed in case of an accident.

My car door doesn't close easily like it used to but just needs a little more force, which is fine. Also I swear I'm hearing a louder whistling noise when I'm on the highway like the door isn't fully sealed but rain doesn't come in so I guess that's okay too. They fully cleaned and detailed my car which I thought was a very nice gesture after taking longer than the initial quote to get the work done. However when I looked in my bag of tote bags I saw evidence of mice/some small animal who went after a couple bags and my orange hand sanitizer. I don't eat in my car and have never had this problem ever, so I know it occurred while at the collision center. Take everything out of your car if you go!!
