Authors Guest House was a great place to stay for our long Key West weekend. It's not far from the night life and is definitely within walking distance. We did end up using Uber a bunch and it was about $7 to Duval/Seaport area. The room was clean. We stayed in the Truman room which had a private balcony. Only thing I would mention is that the showers are small but there's not much you can do about that at a B&B. I did notice that anyone under 18 is restrictions from June-July. Staff were very helpful and check in/out was easy. We were so grateful that on our last day they held our bags so we could go out on the town (we had a late flight). I'm sad I didn't get a chance to get into the pool, there just wasn't enough time. The water was warm and jetted and it seemed like a great place to lounge. If we ever get back down to Key West we would be happy to stay here again. read more

If my father were still alive, he'd call it "highway robbery." We just completed a three night stay in the Williams room at the Author's Guesthouse, and we were extremely disappointed! We paid nearly $500 a night to stay at a facility that is old, run down, dirty, and not well maintained. On the positive side, our room had a roof, a locking door, A/C, and running water. On the negative side, our bed was old and squeaky, the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, the floors were sticky, there was no closet, there was no place to put bathroom accessories, the shower was insanely small, the furniture looked like it was bought at K-Mart, and breakfasts were essentially non-existent. In our opinion, Author's Guesthouse should not be allowed to call themselves a Bed and Breakfast. The breakfast each morning consisted of store bought bagels and packaged cereals. We've had way better breakfasts at Hampton Inns (at much lower prices). My wife and I could not even come up with what we would believe to be a fair price to pay here because it so distracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay in Key West. Do yourself a favor, and pass on Author's Guesthouse. read more

Look elsewhere! We stayed in the Audubon room (2nd floor, looking over the "pool" which is actually a hot tub). Walls are thin and we heard every sound from the people staying next to us. Needless to say, I did not sleep well. Breakfast is a joke! Danish and bagels brought in from a store. Hard boiled eggs which were over cooked. Several people complained that there wasn't enough food. The grounds are run down. The staff were not friendly. One of the workers decided to use the leaf blower right where we were sitting having our coffee. Will not stay here again! read more

Upon checking in, we were told by the employee at the desk that we could park in front of the guesthouse as long as there was no sign saying "residential parking".There was no sign, so we parked there. The next evening after walking back from town, we returned to find that our car was towed. It cost us nearly $300 to get our car back + the cost of the ticket. We had expected that because the hotel employee assured us it was ok to park there, that we would be compensated for a night's stay. Instead , the Manager indicated it was our fault and that we should have known we could not park there even though his employee assured us that it was ok. Aside from this, the service here is terrible. There is no employee available after 5:00 PM for any help if needed. The pool is not a pool, but a whirlpool. There is no pool as advertised. Also, there were no extra towels near the whirlpool, so we had to use our bath towels to dry off. Then, we were unable to get dry towels, as no staff was on duty. The breakfast is horrible - packaged , cheap muffins & a few tangerines. the positives: Good location in quiet neighborhood, decent room and comfortable bed. However, due to the terrible service and bad management, I would not recommend this place. It is overpriced for the level of service , bad advice by hotel employee, & the uncaring attitude of the management. VERY disappointing! read more

I found an awesome rate on Hotels.com so we all stayed here when we went to Key West. It was about $160 per night for a large room with a king size bed and a twin. According to the nice front desk lady, all rooms do come with an extra twin bed which is a good deal if you split the room between 3 people. I was assigned the largest room on 2nd floor called Thornton Wilder. It was more than enough space for 2 people. It had a writing desk, 2 chairs, micro, fridge, chest of drawers. It was also very clean and loved the quaint Key West décor. Bathroom had fresh towels, toiletries, and a blow dryer. In the morning there was a complimentary light breakfast including coffee, fruits, yogurt, and bagels. There's also a small courtyard with a pool. I also had the pleasure of meeting one the friendliest cats just lounging on the chair which is common in Key West. Although this B&B is not on the strip, it's still walkable to Duval (7 blocks) or just take a Lyft for $8. There's no private parking lot but plenty of free street parking which we didn't have any difficulty finding spots. There's an abundance of hotels on the strip but If you want to stay somewhere tranquil in Key West, this is the perfect choice without breaking the bank. I'm going to be honest and if it upsets the owners I do apologize. With my job I stay in hotels and b&b's no less than 255 nights each year allover the lower 48 states. I had been given paperwork for this trip to key west only a day prior to my arrival so I didn't have much time to locate a place to stay but with a quick orbitz search I decided on this location. $310 per night and hey it's the keys so it is what it is on pricing but I guess I was expecting more out of my stay but here goes. I did arrive late due to an issue with my flight not being able to land over a fog issue but I arrived around 8:45 pm and it was a little confusing on how to get in but after walking around I did locate the gate and there was my envelope with my room keys and information about the property. The place is huge and appears to have 7+ separate rooms they rent out but mine was located downstairs ( library room ) it's decent size with a king bed and tv with tons of windows and an Ac that worked great not that it was hot here in Feb but it kept the room a very nice temp. The bed was horribly firm to the point that I literally spent about 5 hrs sleeping in the little wicker chair on the room because my back was killing me. But hey it's a bed so it is what it is. The shower had horrible pressure ( it could be the way it is here so I don't blame the owners ) but keep that in mind because it is horribly low pressure. Breakfast items offered are a joke ( it's literally items that look like there from sams that's pre packaged ) muffins and granola bars. For $300 + per night I was really surprised by the breakfast options and that was one of the cheaper rooms they have here. Looking at this property online it appeared that it was comparable to a B&B but it isn't that at all. I was in the room for no joke 10 hrs but that isn't the owners issue it's mine but I just figured for the amount spent to stay there would be more options. Would I stay here again on my next trip it's 50/50 but I for sure wouldn't pick this room again. The bed was just way to dang firm for me. One good thing about this location is it's literally within walking distance to tons of places to see and hang out for drinks or a quick afternoon bite. read more

Hit the jackpot when we were able to get this place for the three busiest nights of Fantasy Fest AND for under $300 a night (unheard of in KW usually, but even more so for FF). We go to KW A LOT and know MANY B&B's, so I have plenty with which to compare. We stayed in two different rooms. One night in the Harry Truman, which was a little dark and warm even with the A/C running, but had an excellent private balcony. Then in the Helman the other two nights, which was way cuter and brighter and cooler, but was right by the pool and a bit noisier. The PROs: the staff!!! ....some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with at a B&B. They told us they just switched owners and staff a couple of months prior and that they were upgrading a lot. So I wonder if some of the "glitches" we found were due to this. Price. Pool (the fact that they have one, but see CONS for details). Location. Charm. Mattress comfort. Water/refreshment station outside with micro for public use. Frig in room. The CONS: First room was really dark and warm, even with AC Second room did not have working overhead light. Pool is TINY...I mean jacuzzi-style. Pool "deck" is really a small space too....it all worked for us fine, but really, if more than a couple of guests are out there at same time, it could get a little awkward. read more

I've been anxious to write this review since we booked this summer. The pictures and descriptions had me googly eyed before I ever stepped foot in the door. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly and courteous staff right off the bat. The rooms are literature themed so we stayed in the library. It did not disappoint! Two full walls of windows on the first floor with a front row view of the beautiful foliage surrounding the property. The property has a large jacuzzi tub (not heated but still nice)! Their on-site breakfast was great! I liked the packaged snacks and cereal options. Key west is known for their brunch spots so the packaged bars were great for snacks later in the day too. The property has a ton of beautiful trees and plants. The whole premise is surrounded by a chest-height wall that made me feel way more comfortable being close-ish to the heart of downtown (TONS of intoxicated people at night). Speaking of downtown, it was a walkable distance but after walking up to five miles daily Uber was necessary. Our main MO was the price but this location will not disappoint!!! read more

As others have said, this place is out of the hustle of the area where most tourists are. That being said, it is still pretty walkable. It's close to a grocery store, a couple convenience shops, cuban sandwiches & coffee (at The Original Sandy), as well as several restaurants. We even walked to the Papio Kinetic Parade from Authors BnB. We picked this place because we initially thought there would be 13 in our group and needed a place that would be able to accommodate that. Since we were meeting for a friends fortieth we wanted to all stay at the same place. In the end there were only 8 of us. My wife and I direct booked on the Author's website. All but two of us were in the three rooms upstairs off of the patio (the Trumans and the one that shares that hallway). Which was great since one evening there was an epic thunderstorms. Having the three rooms at the overhang meant that we could schooch into it and block access to the door all while staying dry. The access to potable cool water (and sometimes ice) was convenient for remaining hydrated. I also appreciated the hot water access for the coffee I brought with me. The office staff were relatively friendly. One much more so than the other. They did let us stash a bag before check in as well as after checkout on the day of our departure. Which was super nice, because we didn't have to schlep our bags around KW which would have definitely made us look like tourists. On the negative, which is not against Authors, is that we did get shushed from the upper deck while we were in the 'pool/hot tub'. Granted, it was a bit after quiet hours but, you would expect a fellow adult to walk down and tell us that we were being too loud if that was the case. This is a great place to just relax for a few days. It's located within walking distance of Mallory Square, Duval Street and everything you want to see in old town including Hemingway's and Truman's Little White House. In lieu of a swimming pool there's a 15 person , unheated Jacuzzi which is perfect in the summer heat. The breakfast came straight from Walmart and can be avoided without missing a thing. The coffee was really good. My only complaint was with the guests in the next room, they were drunk, loud and the TV blasted until 3:00 am. It was not management's fault. I could have knocked on their door and handled it but didn't. Our room opened onto the Jacuzzi and garden area. The bed was amazing and the room was large, painted in a tropical green with white furniture and cool art. I loved the shower head. It had LED lighting and changed colors as you bathed. BEWARE! Do Not Book! I very rarely give a bad review or put a company on blast BUT if you are planning a trip to Key West, save yourself time, energy, and a huge amount of grief and DO NOT book with AUTHORS KEY WEST GUESTHOUSE! A Key West travel agent booked this place for me weeks ago. We were so excited to visit. At booking, they charged my card for the first nights stay. My flights were canceled due to Hurricane Ian and the entire State of Florida was in a State of Emergency. They were not allowing people in. (I have documentation from the airline) so she reached out to them and asked them to re-book me for different dates and they refused. She emailed multiple times to no avail. After refusing to work with her on my behalf, she emailed multiple times to document that the trip was canceled within their policy BUT they have charged my credit card for the entire stay even thought they KNEW it was canceled. I, too have called and left voice mails and emailed multiple times and they didn't return any calls or reply to my emails. (This is also well documented) I will also add that they had my room was listed as available to rent during this period of time (also documented) I originally just wanted to reschedule and she has begged them to do the right thing. They are greedy people and refused to do anything. I've been informed that the majority of the other places in Key West have either refunded or re-booked people and those people did the right thing! This company has refused every single request. This entire situation has caused a great deal of frustration and unnecessary stress to this grandmother who just wanted to take her teenage granddaughter on a bucket list trip. :-( Do yourself a favor and save yourself some time, energy, and grief and find another reputable place to stay! read more

Dislikes: no shower pressure, breakfast was underwhelming and our upstairs neighbors must have been elephants they way they walked around. :-/ We did have to ask for another cleaning after we checked in because there was sticky substance left on the bedside table and beers left in the freezer but that's not a huge deal. Found this gem and it was an awesome place to stay. I only booked it for 1 night and it was excellent for the space, area and cleaniness. I was upgraded to the "Hemingway" house and was very cozy and beachy/modern looking at the same time. The ladies in the front were very courteous and showed us around the place. There is a cold/hot water machine and ice right outside. There is a "hot tub/mini pool" the size is great for a few people to be in and have enough space to relax (Great for social distance hehe.) Only wish the water in the hot tub was a bit hotter but it was great overall. There is lounge chairs to relax by the tub and there is also plenty of other tables/chairs to chill around the guest house. Parking was free and it is literally 5-10 mins in car to get to Duval St and all of the restaurants/bar in the areas. Great stay, affordable and relaxing! read more

After hunting for a while for a decently priced accommodation in Key West, we stumbled on Authors Guest House and enjoyed a wonderful stay! Situated in a more residential area of Key West on White St., the Authors Guest House offers a taste of island living without all the chaos of Duval St. and everything is still within about 20 minutes walking. We stayed for 3 nights and had comfy beds, A/C, a pool, and complimentary breakfast every morning, so there really wasn't more we could ask for. The staff were all very nice and kept the place neat and tidy for guests too. Overall, a great place to stay when visiting Key West and a spot we'd definitely book again! read more

I wanted to experience a sweet B&B with my fiance in Key West for a couple of days that was not only affordable but also clean (despite of Covid19 pandemic) and cute. We searched and saw so many different locations but something about the Hellman room and the spa right outside the doors that attracted us to Authors Guest House. The room was clean, spacious enough for two. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was a bit small but it worked. The only mirror was the one above the sink and I found myself looking for a mirror in the bedroom to check my makeup or my outfit on my way out a few times. The only negative in the room but not enough to take away a star is that the dresser drawers had a musty smell to them. So I bought two $1 air fresheners and issue solved. The patio and spa outside the room was kept clean. We only saw one other couple using the spa the first night but other than that it was like our own private hot tub which was a bonus! The morning breakfast available was nothing grand but everything was packaged individually except the fruits. Again, they were very good about keeping everything clean in all aspects. There's only two parking spaces for the property but free street parking is available. We never had an issue finding parking. The front desk staff was so nice and professional. I absolutely love this place!!! I just wish we had spent more than one night. Barb the receptionist is AMAZING! She was so helpful!! Gave us the run down on the cool spots, restaurants and local entertainment to check out. And she gave us free drink coupons for several bars!! The kitty that wanders the property lives there too! When I went in, she was sitting on the front desk as if she's was waiting my arrival!! So cute. The rooms have their own separate entrance and theme. McCullers was our room. It accommodates 2 people. It's small but cozy. Beds are soooo comfortable!!! Nice sized bathroom with a large shower..there's a large hot tub/pool and outdoor breakfast in the am. As well as free coffee, tea all day! So.. a quick 15 min walk to Duvall St. I suggest leave your car parked at hotel and walk or bike. Plenty of good eats along the way too. Be on the watch for wildlife along the way. We saw a huge iguana!!! Stray chickens and cats roam the streets!! Lots of local art to check out in this eclectic little piece of the world!! Can't wait to return!! read more

Its about a 10 minute walk (through the cemetery if you're adventerous) to get to the bars and tourist traps of Key West. If you want to experience that true local Key West... stay here. If you want to get to Duval, you can be active and walk. To anyone who thinks it's too far away, get off your ass and walk dammit. If that's too much, rent a bike (bonus points for still being active and using the locals' preferred means of transportation). If you really can't stand the distance, rent a moped or call a pedicab. They have a variety of rooms and they are all unique which adds to the charm of staying at a guest house on the island. The room and the grounds were extremely clean and having stayed in Kwest multiple times this is definitely not one of those dingy, run down lodging options. The fairly large hot tub is open all day and night but you can't use the keys after 9pm. There are pool towels available for your use. Breakfast was fairly simple but at least there was something. It included bagels, yogurt, and fruit. Coffee was available during breakfast, but tea, cold water and ice was available 24/7. Staff were very nice and accommodating. The bed was great and the nicely decorated room included a small tv and a mini fridge. This place was a fantastic find! read more

I was very disappointed with my recent stay. Check in was very nice and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. However, the next day I could not relax and enjoy my stay due to the incredible level of noise created by the housekeeping staff. And it went on for hours. Yelling, laughing, banging....I travel frequently and I strongly believe that support staff should be as pleasant and unobstrusive as possible. When I complained I was ignored. On the second night I was kept awake from midnight until 7 am by screeching roosters. Key West has developed a problem with red chickens absolutely everywhere. These roosters, however, are the pets of a neighbor and not wild. I finally decided to just pack up the car and leave at 8:30 am. When I went to check out a different man was at the desk and without getting out of his chair or even looking at me he barked to just leave the keys on the counter. So much for gracious service. I stayed here many years ago and I was excited to return. I live in Miami and Key West has always been an easy getaway. I will not be returning to Authors again. read more

Driving down the Florida Keys we stopped at one of those bright yellow Visitor Centers advertising coupons and discounts. So glad we did because otherwise we wouldn't have known about the best kept secret in Key West that is Authors Guesthouse. Pros first: Adorable rooms and cottages. Beautiful courtyard, deck, gardens and a canopy of trees. Quiet residential area. Secured with locked gates. Free and plentiful street parking. Spacious rooms named after famous authors. Kind and attentive staff. Free wifi. Powerful air conditioning. Sweet resident cat. Very clean premises and rooms. Layout is perfect as rooms are private, not on top of each other. Wraparound deck or porch for every room. VERY reasonable priced, especially with Visitor Center discount. Cons: Very small heated pool that doubles as a jacuzzi (it's tres humid so a cool refreshing swim would have been welcome!) Wifi in our room weak (probably because of our room's location being away from main area.) Only breakfast choices are orange, banana, bagel. We consider it a Pro, but some might not like its location so far away from the tourist action. Small shower means I missed a few spots shaving my legs. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here. The bed was comfy, the neighborhood was mostly quiet, but close enough to the downtown area (about a 15 minute walk) and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again. We were helped by Barby when we arrived and were given a very thorough rundown of the area, things to do, restaurants, bars, etc. We were given a map and coupons for various things, which we did not use, but we were appreciative of the options and the assistance in navigating the neighborhood. Two things to be aware of: we were told there was free onsite parking, however, there were no spots available onsite when we arrived, and it looked to me that there was just a small driveway that allowed for two cars to park. We were able to find street parking, however, on the side of the hotel, which was free and there were no restrictions about how long you could stay or resident permits. Also, the wifi did not work in our room, as the signal seems to only work in certain areas. If this is important to you, make sure to ask about these things when you book! read more

Best 5 night stay in Key West hands down! Barbie was AWE-MAZE-ING and so helpful from "hello" to "see ya next time." Quaint, quiet and relaxing bed and bath in old Town is a perfect scooter, bike or walk to anywhere without having to worry about a lot of noise which is what I loved and of course the other super sweet visitors. As others mentioned breakfast is a mixture of yogurt, prepackaged bagels or fruit to get you off for the day. We will definitely stay here every time we're in Key West. read more

The continental breakfast is yogurt and thawed frozen bagels- we didn't stay here for the breakfast. What killed the place for us was the internet. It shows 1-2 bars at all times, and is very finicky. I imagine they have family router and have not expanded beyond 15 or so IP's as it seems to frequently cycle. My phone decided to update; so typically when this happens, one would just go to bed knowing their phone is connected to WiFi. It must have disconnected; it cleared my data for the rest of the month. Go in knowing you basically will not have internet and you will not be disappointed. Otherwise, spend the extra $$ because you will spend that money fixing your data use later anyways. read more

My husband, 2 children and I stayed in the "Poet's Room" for 5 days/4 nights. The room was very nice and we truly enjoyed our stay but for one issue of our own doing. One of my sons forgot something in the room, went back to get it and left the keys on the table in the room. Our room key and car key were both on that key ring. We had no way to get into our room as it was after 5:00 as the staff was gone for the day and no way to even drive somewhere. Each of the 4 of us called both phone numbers listed for the Author's Guest House at least 10 times and never received a response. We sat outside in the heat for at least 1-1/2 to 2 hours. My son finally decided to contact a locksmith who did come and got the door opened for us. The next morning I went to the office to let the gentleman (Jonathan) who was there know what had happened. Jonathan had listened to the voicemails that morning was so apologetic. He stated that he is the person who has the phone on him after hours, but that evening he had given the phone to another employee as he (Jonathan) was not able to take phone calls that evening. Not only did Jonathan refund my son the $135.00 paid to the locksmith, but he also credited our account 10%. After all that, Jonathan showed up at our door with a bottle of champagne and 2 glasses for me and my husband. In my eyes, this was above and beyond what I ever expected. This is a class-act place and I would be thrilled to stay there again on our next trip to Key West!!!! Jonathan I can never thank you enough for your kindness and hospitality!! read more

Very clean and comfortable rooms. All of the rooms have an extra twin bed so that was unexpected. Small little comfortable pool/hot tub. Not bad to unwind late night after walking Duval. Staff is super friendly, the place is very quiet and it feels very inviting. Really close to Duval street and easy to to access. No parking on premises. Street parking only. Breakfast consist of bagged bagels, coffee, orange juice, bananas, apples and oranges. A few yogurts are offered too. I loved the place and would come back again. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights while visting Key West for the weekend and will definitely stay here again. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with recommendations and suggestions. The location is very good, a couple miles from Duval Street. We stayed on the second floor in the Truman room which had a balcony, we enjoyed hanging out there in the later evening. They also have a free continental breakfast available from 8:30-10:00am, which consisted of bagels and cream cheese, fruits, yogurt, juice and coffee. The location is about half a mile or 15-minute leisure walk to Duval St. We really liked the location as it was far enough away from the strip but still close enough. Barbie checked us in and was wonderful with her recommendations of where we should go for dinners and drinks. It really felt like we had a personal friend to ask for recommendations. Good location, quiet street with lots of street parking. I asked to have the sheets changed after our first night and the new sheets were obviously clean, which made me really wonder about the first night sheets, a detail I am trying to put out of my mind. The rooms are on the smallish side. Breakfast is an array of bananas, oranges, unappetizing bagels, and yogurt, along with coffee and tea. No hair dryers in rooms but they are available on request from the office. Late check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. read more

The Author's Guesthouse is a small, cute B&B which makes up a lot in charm where some may think it lacks in space or commodities. The price is the real reason why this is a total win in my book. A close stroll to Duval Ave, and you are looking at ~100-120 for a 3 person room. Not too shabby at all. Smaller rooms? Yes. But you are in Key West! Why hang out in your room (with T.v and free wifi -- both ignored by yours truly) when you have so much so close at your disposal? Beds are comfy, a.c is a workhorse and keeps your rooms rather brisk, and the bathroom is clean and full of extra towels. The continental breakfast is nothing special -- some fresh fruit, bagels and english muffins. But you get to eat outside on their fabulous patio and maybe even have a local six-toed-cat as a breakfast companion. The pool is small, but well maintained and never got too loud at night (our room was RIGHT in front of it). Well-priced with a pool and a 5-10 minute walk from the main drag, I booked my room too close to Fantasy Fest to have the full range of hotels to compare to every B&B around, but their prices were reasonable and their staff were friendly. The room was decent enough with an in-room freezer fridge, an air conditioner more than capable of keeping the heat at bay, and great sleep without hearing any neighbors or outside guests chattering and clattering around. This place is awesome! We stayed in the Hemingway Cottage! It is perfect it has a kitchen with a stove, blender, toaster , microwave and a fridge! It is well appointed and quiet! The perfect place to get away and disconnect! They also have free parking, a pool and free Wifi. There is a continental breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30. We basically parked the car and Ubered everywhere we needed to go! We will be back! read more

Perfect place for a nice weekend in Key West. It's tucked away from most of the major attractions, but close enough that we could walk to Duval (and pretty much everything else). Our room was right off the pool. We could open our doors, take five steps, and be swimming. We didn't have any issues with noise as we never saw anyone actually use the pool. The grounds were nice, tropical, and the staff was welcoming. A great option and very well priced! read more

Worst place I have ever stayed at! Our whole room got flooded with sewage due to their pipes being backed up. It was literally coming up out of the shower drain and seeping out of the walls! They said they have had the problem before, but they didn't fix it?? Ruined our whole trip. Couldn't even give us a full refund for our terrible experience! Manager and front desk attendant were the most unhelpful and uncaring that I have ever had to deal with! We were also informed by the guests in the room next to us that the front desk attendant had been peeping through our windows trying to spy on us! How terrible! Beware of this place! read more

The good: I recently stayed at the Library room, which was very clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and eager to recommend activities and restaurants on Duval St. They even arranged the bike transportation during my stay! On-site parking was a plus. The bad: Although the location is far from Duval Street, the traffic outside was loud enough to wake me in the early morning. Their breakfast did not make up for my lack of sleep. They offered a continental breakfast that is typical of a chain hotel - fruit, yogurt, bagel, etc. The ugly: The pool is very small...probably the size of the queen sized mattress I slept on. read more

Hate to give a bad review, however; it was earned here. Our room was not comfortable at all. The room was dingy & dirty. Walking bare feet in the room was out of the question. The air conditioner didn't work well & was very noisy. We turned it off and tried to open windows to let cool/fresh air in. The windows wouldn't stay open. We got one to stay open by using a plant stand to prop the window up. We had a horrible nights sleep. The breakfast left much to be desired. English muffin, bagel, coffee, & orange juice. That's it. Wonderful Key West spot that doesn't break the bank. Our room (Margret Truman) was clean and comfortable- and had a mini fridge and outdoor patio/seating area, which was nice. The breakfast was typical (basic) continental, but well stocked. The front desk service was outstanding- she went above and beyond! We got recommendations for everything from dining to charters and all of the spots she told us about were great. You can rent bikes on premises, they deliver them to you and the rate is typical of the bikes on Duval. The pool is small but clean. And the location is very close to all the action, but far enough away that you aren't bothered by noise. read more
