Its always amazing! The girls are so nice! Never had any problems. Their reccomendations are always on spot.

The folks that work at Australian Tan are always friendly. The place is spotlessly clean. There is seldom much of a wait. Generally, there is no wait. The best tanning place I've ever been. read more

Jasmine is wonderful ! Always so friendly and knows all about the products and beds :) I highly recommend this lovely salon Have been a member for years :) read more

Wow! What a difference. Thank you so much for getting someone to come out to fix the fans in the beds as well as the air conditioning. Also, during my visit today, there was a bit of a wait for one of my favorite beds and I didn't mind waiting since I have the day off. The woman working the front desk offered water and snacks. Way to go above and beyond. read more

As someone struggling with eczema for 5+ years now and trying countless treatments with no success, I decided to give tanning beds a try, figuring I had nothing to lose! I'm so glad I chose this location! I've interacted with three different front desk staff members, and every one of them has been incredibly kind and helpful with all of my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this spot, especially for first-time tanners. The process is quick and easy--each session takes less than 10 minutes. Just be sure to follow their safety recommendations. It's truly a great place! read more

I had such a great experience at Australian Tan, and Lily truly made it even better. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to help me choose the right option for my skin tone. She explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The place was clean, welcoming, and well run! read more

Excellent customer service and great attentiveness staff! I recommend this place. Its Super clean and friendly staff will make your day. read more

I wanted to give a huge shout out to the employee who was working behind the desk on Friday, 1/6. I came in and she was having to deal with a very difficult Karen-like customer on the phone (the customer had the same name as a red headed orphan who sings about tomorrow). The employee provided a master class in patience and customer service. I could here the customer shouting at her through the phone, and this employee kept her cool and continue to work to find a solution. I felt so bad for her and I could tell the call got to her, however, it did not affect the customer experience she provided me. Get her a raise! I have been spray tanning here off and on for many years and always have a great experience. read more

I just want to give a shout out to the women who run this salon, Jazmine, Kayla, Heather and I know I'm forgetting a couple of names, but they are all great! They are always open on time, always greet you with a smile and their pleasantries are genuine! The rooms are kept extremely clean and ready to use! I highly recommend Australian Tan in Sunnyvale!!! read more

Love the vibes and the friendly staff (: I came for my first session and signed up with a great deal and more likely to come every week now

I agree with Janine , the other reviewer. First time coming here to try their spray tan before I go on vacation. Staff is super nice but the hand spray machine was broken. I didn't want to try the spray booths. I only do spray tanning so unfortunately, I'm not going to be coming back. read more

Best customer service always!!!!! I've never once had a bad experience here or any other location Love the red light therapy and wellness cocoon read more

Well the tanning is very good and the young adults that are at the desk are very nice. The corporation has some questionable tactics in terms of fees and how you cancel the contract. When you sign up there is more than one fee which is annual. You have to go to a QRM code to cancel and they tell you they will not accept your cancellation until you speak to an agent (that will contact you) or you fax in the cancellation form. You have to cancel prior to the 15th to be valid for the first of the next month. This is fine if you are aware of it and prepare but annoying when you are a first time user and just want to be done. I'm sure the number of extra months they gain from most cancellations is a significant income globally. After cancelling they bombard you with texts for discount offers to tan which are deceiving at best. Again I have to say the tanning beds are good but the background is slippery... so buyer beware.... read more

Been coming here for years. The staff are always friendly and the facility and equipment are top notch and sparkling clean. Five stars

Sunnyvale Location - Don't waste your money!!!! Rip off and scammers. I tried sending in the letter to cancel my membership - which... what company requires you to mail a letter to cancel? Is it 1865? The want you to have to mail in a letter to keep you from cancelling. Since, any logical and non-greedy establishment would let you cancel by walking in and being like "Hey, it's me - cancel my membership." Anyway, sent the letter, and I've been charged twice now since. Tried calling and left a voicemail a month ago with no returned call. Tried calling again, and now the phone just keeps ringing. It's funny because the number I called is the number listed on this site: (408) 735-7975 For $80/month so I can be darker in color... what kind of horrible customer service is this? I have bills to pay - do your job, maybe? read more

I moved to Sunnyvale in 2017. I have always been around tanning beds, going to the gym growing up with my folks, working at "in-shape" for numerous years also personally going. What stands apart from those experiences is the ownership of this Australian Tan personally responds, takes the time to figure out the best solution and the beds / lights results are amazing. Nice set up, informed staff and there's hardly a wait if any when I do go to tan. Thank you, Australian Tan. read more

I have been a member of Australian Tan for 9 years and regularly tan at the Sunnyvale location. From the wide variety of services and exceptional customer service. During that time I've interacted with many different employees but had to give a shout-out to Brianna from the Sunnyvale location ! Whenever myself or another customer walks in, she is always friendly and attentive, never on her phone, always cleaning and staying busy. Recently, I have followed her recommendations for my tanning sessions (bed level, time, lotion) and never have received more positive compliments regarding my tan color. During covid, she was the only employee I saw (of any store) actively enforcing the mandatory mask rule during Covid which made me (an unvaccinated person) feel safer inside the salon. She is a breath of fresh air and her exceptional customer service and work ethic should not get unnoticed. Hands down, this is the best tanning salon in Santa Clara County ! read more

Wish I lived closer to this salon staff is super friendly and they have some pretty awesome beds I love the standing red light I hope it's added to the other salons. read more

I found them through a Groupon - 7 day pass for all services for $25 so thought I'd give it a whirl. The space is very clean and well maintained. Used the high pressure bed which was in good condition - some of these places are so rundown, with machines that are missing bulbs so this is a big deal to me. The young woman who helped me was very nice and knowledgeable. I'm excited to try some of their other services and am hoping this might become my regular place. read more

Been going here for awhile and there staff is amazing and super helpful! Makes it feel like home.

I love the excellent customer service that I receive at Australian Tan from everyone especially Bianca, Lisa and Katy. I highly recommend this location. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable about the tanning process and the tanning products. read more

This location is the worst I've been to. Bed 14 is so old, the buttons are broken and the bulbs definitely need to be changed. The music feature in the room doesn't work. Super disappointed. I felt like my time in the bed was wasted. The only good thing was the girl working the front desk was friendly. Other than that I would not return there! read more

Great experience. Front desk staff is very friendly. I've only used their standard tanning bed to prep for Mexico vacay.

I would not suggest getting a membership here. I've been using this salon for many years and had a good experience in general. I used the tanning beds initially but have only done spray tans in the last several years. I had random problems here and there but the employees are always friendly and the location is convenient. I tried another local location and wound up coming back here. I decided to get a monthly spray tan membership, I regret doing it. I read other reviews that said don't give them your credit card info and I should have listened. First problem was the amount charged to my account didn't match what they told me. It turns out there is a monthly tax on top of the membership fee which made it more expensive than I expected. I think that should have been disclosed. The next month there was an additional $10-20 fee. When I called I was told this was for annual maintenance. I have been going for years and nothing seems to have changed. Recently my bank sent me a new credit card and I did not think to call them to update my account. When I went in I was told there was a $20 fee since my card was declined that month. I have many other bills set up for autopay and not one other company charged me a fee when my payment was declined. They happily took the new information and updated my account. The quality of the spray tan experience has gone down a bit too. There used to be a primer spray before the color but they stopped ordering the primer because not enough people were using it? Also, little things are missing. There used to be baby wipes, tissues (something to clean up if needed). The room in general needs some updating. read more

This place has gone down hill. The lady at the front never seems to know what she's doing and always seems overwhelmed. She does not seem to know how to work the beds I got undressed in the bed and it wouldn't turn on had to get dressed go back out and she said ok this happened to another lady while I was there. When you ask her questions about tanning and the beds she has no clue. read more

Quick in and quick out. Just great with no fuss. Price is affordable. The service was good

This place is ALWAYS CLOSED. If it's raining, closed. Now on Sunday's, closed. Today, a Monday, closed. I've drove here at least 4 times this winter to it being closed. Ridiculous. I've been going here for years and I do love their beds. But it's getting really annoying. read more

Never sign up for Australian Tan unless you want to get harassing text messages for the rest of your life. I wanted to tan before my wedding and the people and services were fine but the mail in cancellation policy is a pain and what's worse is even after canceling they continue to send harassing text messages about restarting my service every month or so. I have sent the requested STOP to every one of them but they continue to come. I sent an email to customer service to no avail. They seem completely unable unsubscribe me from future marketing messages. There are plenty of tanning options out there and would never go back to this company with their super aggressive marketing that never ends, it's just not worth it. read more

Pros: * Super friendly front desk staff * Walk-ins make the process super easy and they were able to give me an appointment with no waiting * Clean, up to date machines Negatives: I got a medium spray tan and honestly did not feel like it give me any color worth noting (after you shower off the marker). If I go back, I'll go with the darkest spray. read more
