A male, that I have never seen before, was working the counter and he was not only rude but pretty abrasive and for reasons I don't understand, argumentative. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable because the customer service rep may be having a bad day or perhaps dislikes their job. I have been to Australian Tan in the past and found it to be clean and the employees very nice. This time was no different. Amelia was GREAT! She was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The Campbell location is a regular disappointment. In the past, I wasted a lot of money by buying the 5-pack of spray tans, but only getting to use one, and then being told the rest had expired. Now there's no Sunday hours, and Saturday hours are actually shorter than advertised. I checked in today at 5:40pm when it closed at 6:00pm and she wouldn't let me spray tan. The room was available, but someone else was in a tanning bed who would be going to the spray booth when they were done, and they were "ahead of me". I debated with her for a bit before realizing she was seriously turning me away well before closing, so I gave up and drove home, even getting home before closing time. read more

This location has one Level 5 bed that is in high demand; there are about 10 low level beds that seem to be rarely used - if at all. How about bringing in another Level 5 so that your monthly customers paying a premium, actually get to use the premium services? The Australia Tan in Los Gatos was so much better! Better staff all around and the salon was much cleaner. If you want to pay money for a membership, but rarely get to use the better beds, then this place is for you. read more

They keep asking me to complete a form online which I have completed 3 times. I even have screenshots. Wow I went in last minute a few days before my event and was BLOWN away by the service!!! It felt like heaven on earth! I wish I could remember the name of the amazing person who helped me but I forgot! There was another co worker there that was an absolute angel also. He made me feel so comfortable picked out the perfect color for my skin, after he was done explaining everything I wanted to buy every primer lotion bottle he was that good lol. I felt like I was UNDERpaying. I even asked for a tip jar they were that good! Thank you for the amazing service and the most beautiful spray tan. OK, so my once rave review of this place needs to be edited- in a MAJOR way. So I've been going here for quite some time and haven't had much of an issue. But the longer I've been a member, and the more popular this place has become, the more issues I've noticed. 1. When I initially agreed to sign up for the $20 per month unlimited deal they never told me it would continue to be charged to my account. I never authorized that but I let that "oversight" of the sales girl slide. I'm sure she thought she was doing the company a favor by not mentioning that part- I was not amused come bank statement time. 2. I won't even go to the Campbell location anymore because the once pleasant and somewhat helpful staff has been replaced by hair-twirling, useless doorknobs. 3. They've become too lazy to dry their eyewear off at BOTH locations and the cleaning solution will leak into your eyes unless you towel them off first! Hello safety issue! 4. Can the managers please teach the staff to answer the phone???!! I guess not- one special employee informed me that "we're just, like, too busy to do that." WOW. 5. When you get as fed up as I am get ready to cancel via Certified Mail! Yep, plan on forking over a few bucks just to tell them you don't want to give them money anymore. And make sure you get that taken care of two weeks before you plan on cancelling. What really ticked me off about this was that I wasn't even informed I was signing up for an ongoing service to begin with (I complained about this) and THEN, when I wanted to opt out- SURPRISE, they've changed their policy to this certified mail bs without notfiying me.... I like Australian Tan...their customer service has always been really good. The beds are very high quality and give a great tan. So I'm not complaining on that. What I AM complaining about is that fact that every time I go there and I have to use their bathroom...it's a mess. I think the toilet has permanant shit splatter on it! It makes me wonder how clean the beds are if they can't even keep their bathroom clean??? The floor in my room today wasn't the cleanest either. I'm not sure if these girls they have working there realize the importance of a clean environment or not? Apparently...not. I'm compelled to write this because I've been an Ambassador member for over 2 yrs now. A girl needs her VIT D! Ive visited this location 3 times, and EVERY time there is some issue. The spray tan booth is broken this time. Last time one of the employees put 2 of her friends in the bed I had been waiting for with no apology or even the decency to feel bad. She said "they called ahead" BS. Another time I was shown to a bed with broken fixtures and buttons. The problem may lie in the fact that at this location the employees are all 16 and seem to be very ill equipped for anything more than clicking a couple of buttons on the computer. They do lock you into a contract if you want the best bang for your buck, but it's totally worth it; especially during those long winter months. My first time getting a spray tan last week. I've been back a second time. I really like the machine they use. The customer service at this particular Australian Tan is amazing. On both of my visits the same 2 girls have been at the front desk. They are both friendly and helpful. I was a member for approximately a year and have been to other locations. (Bernal road, Blossom hill) The staff are always friendly and accommodating and I never had a bad experience in any salons. The beds are always clean and they always have promotions going on. I believe that the membership is worth the price and that Australian Tan offers the best prices. However, I gave two stars because cancelling your membership is a nightmare. You can't cancel in any stores. You have to mail it to the Head quarter's office and you have until the first 2 weeks of the month otherwise they will charge you. What a major hassle. Also, there was so many times that they charged my account $20 extra because my account "didn't go through" the first time they ran it and they have a policy that if your card doesn't go through the first time, they will charge $20 extra which is frustrating. To avoid this, I suggest you go to the salon and pre pay. To make the story short: Great salon with great staff but cancelling your membership and the whole "charge $20 extra if your card doesn't go through the first time" policy is a NIGHTMARE. read more

First of all customer service was very good. The people were very friendly and helpful. Over all the place is really nice and for a regular tanning beds it looks great. I went for the spray tan. In the past I always went to Magic tan but this time their bed was broken so I needed something quick. They refered me to Australian Tan. They said this was better than Mystic tan. I have to disagree =( Its a little different. I noticed it wasnt very even, my right side looked great, the left arm was spotty and uneven. My face got super dark really fast i had to take a baby wipe and take some of it off, once i did that it looked good. Over all it worked ok, maybe i need a tip on how to make it more even. Maybe i needed to stand a little more inward? Not sure. The price was $28, which is less expensive than Mystic tan. I may give it another shot before I make my fina; consensus. read more

I was hesitant to start a new membership this time. However I was very pleasantly surprised by the number of services that have been included at this location since the last time I was there. I was also very pleased and impressed with Anjanett. She very calmly explained to me the various packages, levels, and prices. She even re-explained to me the cancellation process as I told her I did not want to be an ongoing member. I did not feel like she was pushing product or services on me. And she genuinely was just a very kind and nice person. The location is clean from what I can tell from my first visit. I have been a customer here for 4 years. The salon is always clean and customer service is fantastic! Sam, Alli, Brittany, etc, etc, they are all so friendly. They never look annoyed and NEVER rush me to get in and out. I even stop by to say hello when not tanning since they make me feel like one of the girls. I have the most fantastic tan thanks to Sam's tanning tips!! This salon is nowhere near my neighborhood, and even though there is another Australian Tan nearby I drive to the Campbell salon because of all the above.
