I had such an amazing experience with Shelley at Liquid Sunshine! The salon is extremely clean, beautifully designed and welcoming. Shelley is so kind and a true professional. I was very impressed by (and so grateful for) how comfortable she made me feel during the session. She explained each step of the process, her attention to detail is excellent, and the spray tan itself was flawless! She took the time to pick a shade that would look best on me and gave me helpful tips to make sure the tan would last. The color came out natural--no streaks, no orange tones, just a gorgeous bronzed glow that made me feel great. If you're looking for a high quality spray tan, this is absolutely the place to go. Thank you Shelley for such a great and easy experience! read more

My wife and I have had Lucy's help taking the terrifying white edge off before jetting away on vacations. Her service is excellent, artistic even, and no one suspects us of being otherwise pale people who relentlessly use sunscreen and hats. While we've only used Lucy's services a handful of times, she's definitely our go-to person and we highly recommend her for her attention to detail. read more

Shelley is the best! She cares about her customers, always delivers the perfect spray tan and has so many products to help extend and support the tan. Love coming here! read more

Lucy is the best in the business in my opinion! She's sprayed me probably 10+ times and I'm so excited that she has a studio. It's absolutely beautiful, so clean and she's so talented and efficient. I couldn't recommend her more! read more

Shelley first referred me to Lucy for my wedding due to scheduling conflicts. At that time, Lucy still had her mobile tanning service where I had a trial spray tan prior to the actual date. Fast forward to present day, Lucy not only has taken over Liquid Sunshine, but has also taken care of me for my delayed honeymoon. What a full circle moment to step into the studio with Lucy! Quality is maintained (I have NEVER turned orange or green like I have before with others), studio is private, and Lucy is a fantastic conversationalist. I felt safe with Lucy in my own home and now in her own studio - I wouldn't trust anyone else with my spray tan. read more

Lucy is a great find! She is warm, welcoming and professional. Her knowledge of color mixing is second to none! I love my glow and can't wait to go back to Liquid Sunshine salon read more

Super happy with my experience at Liquid Sunshine! Did my first ever spray tan here with Shelley. She listened to my requests and analyzed my natural tone to create a custom blend. I chose a rapid rinse which worked perfectly for me. I felt I had color for nearly a week. The solution did not break out my sensitive skin either. Will be going back soon! read more

Shelley is amazing! From start to finish, she was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and made the whole spray tan experience feel comfortable and easy. The color looked natural and flawless, lasted a long time, and faded evenly with no blotchy patches or weird streaks. I was seriously impressed. If you want to achieve a beautiful glow without any of the sun damage, this is the place to go. Highly recommend! read more

South Bay glow-up secret: unlocked. Lucy is an absolute spray tan wizard--professional, precise, and genuinely one of the coolest humans out there. She'll bend over backwards to fit your schedule (seriously, she is our glam squad queen!!). Her studio is adorable, but her mobile setup? Elite. I'd give her 12 stars if I could. Catch me glowing, but never going to get a tan anywhere else. read more

What a great experience with Shelley for our first airbrush spray tans! Shelley is a master at relaxing you by explaining everything very well. She has her practice down! And is so generous with supplies like scrub mitts, hair ties etc. she is very friendly and kind. I even felt comfortable being naked with this stranger. Shelley was that good! Afterwards, our tans made us feel so good about ourselves! We looked great and at about day 3 we were at our darkest. So smooth and even. Thanks Shelley! We will be back and we highly recommend! read more

I can't say enough how wonderful Lucy is at giving incredible spray tans. She is so thorough and so thoughtful through the entire process. I will only go to her and liquid sunshine for spray tans in the future. Oh and the tan looks incredible and lasts 10 days! read more

Having never gotten a spray tan before, I was nervous about how it would turn out for my wedding so I booked a trial a few weeks before my wedding. My experience at Liquid Sunshine left me incredibly happy so I returned for the spray tan a few days before the wedding! I was seen by each of the specialists (Lucy and Shelley) and they were both super friendly, helpful, and efficient and left me with a really natural and bronzed look. My tan also lasted way past the 7-10 days which makes it well worth the price for me. Excited to come back for more spray tans in the future! read more

She got back to me right away! Very professional! I could not use her tanning services because I came down with a cold, but will use her in the future! read more

Lucy is the best there is! She always make sure I leave the salon looking perfectly tan. The solutions she uses are long lasting and look like a natural tan. She is extremely friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel comfortable. I have been tanning with Lucy for 2 years now and have loved every tan. Highly recommend getting a tan before an event or just because :) read more

My mom and I went to Shelley for our very first airbrush tan experience. From the very first time I started communicating with Shelley, she was extremely nice, very knowledgeable and made me feel very welcome to the experience. She even suggested we complete a trial run before our main run since we would be tanning for my wedding. When we actually went for our trial runs, Shelley's establishment is very clean and super cute! We loved it! Shelley took the time to examine our skin, the tone and undertones. She explained how long we should leave the tan before rinsing, depending how dark we want it to be, and reassured us she would walk us through the entire process. She was able to come up with the perfect airbrush color match to use for each of our skin tones. While airbrush tanning, she most definitely walks you through the entire process from beginning to end. She is an artist at what she does and takes the time to focus on every detail and area to ensure you get the most even tan possible for your experience. She even walks you through how to dress once done so you don't streak or get tanner on you. Once complete, she gives you a paper with specific instructions on what to do once ready to rinse the bronzer. She reminds you of things to remember and how to take care of your tan. Not to mention, she actually checks in with you to see how you like your tan the day after! Her website has very detailed information that is soo helpful, especially for first timers like us! Would we go back? Umm... YES! Would we refer Shelley? I mean, is that even a question! Definitely worth going to Shelley! Super nice, very thorough and she knows what's she's doing, hands down! read more

Oh my goodness, I absolutely LOVE this beautiful human! Shelley makes you feel so comfortable and her authenticity and care are so apparent that she immediately feels like a lifelong friend. That's just the cherry on top, though; I originally spent hours upon hours poring over reviews and client photos of every spray tan artist in the Bay Area, searching for the most talented one. Liquid Sunshine was the obvious pick, but almost seemed too good to be true. She made everyone look like a flawless goddess, but I figured I'm a tougher case and thus may not get great results; every spray tan I've had elsewhere ended up with streaks, splotches, or weird color. Still, I decided to give spray tans one more shot, and wow, am I glad I did... Shelley has this all down to a science. I'm a nit-picky perfectionist, but Shelley somehow tans even the tricky areas (hands, wrists, ankles, knees, elbows) with ease and flawlessness. She mixes up the perfect color for you, and for whatever reason, I cannot even come close to getting this dark with any of the home self-tanners. The color is even so much better (and safer!!!) than what I could naturally get from the sun. Every time I have a spray tan from Shelley, I get so many compliments on my skin (which is not true otherwise)! All of my research to end up finding Liquid Sunshine was WELL worth it. It's crazy what a confidence boost her tans can give, and of course I love that I can have a flattering glow that covers imperfections -- while still staying safe from skin cancer and wrinkles. You could travel the entire country and honestly will not find a better airbrush artist anywhere. Shelley is such a gift to all who know her; I just wish we could clone her! read more

Liquid Sunshine - My low key tan for a formal event. - Spray Tanning Near Me - Los Gatos, California

I'm literally sitting here at the airport on my way to Hawaii to show off my spray tan from Shelley/Liquid Sunshine. She was extremely thorough, I followed her process/instructions, and woke up to a great tan ..... WITH NO TRANSFER! My white sheets stayed white and my tan is even and intact. I was so happy with her service and quality, which is tailored to your event/skin type/day's restriction, that I booked my next session on the spot. Her price is such a value (think cost vs. worth) and on par with the market however her quality of work is fantastic. I'm obsessed with this place already. Just a quick tip: she will take your credit card but prefers cash/Venmo/Apple Pay. read more

Shelley is the best! I drive all the way from San Bruno to go to her and wouldn't have it any other way (: She always gives me the perfect vacation tans - no orange, no streaks, no unevenness... Just a perfect sun-kissed tan. She customizes the formula to your liking and the process is super quick. My tans last about 7-10 days and even stays on after being in a pool all throughout my vacation. It also helps that she's OCD (like me) lol! She genuinely loves what she does and you'll definitely get hooked once you give her a try! read more

I am a BEAUTIFUL BRONZED BEAUTY. . . thanks to Marie, owner and spray artist of Liquid Sunshine. I can proudly say that my spray tan cherry was popped here. Marie made me feel very comfortable (I was butt naked, mind you) and she sprayed me evenly and exquisitely bronzed. I chose medium-dark and my body's post-color looked TADOW. It's like a skin miracle! Why haven't I done this sooner?! Love the salon, love Marie's English accent, and love my new skin color. Why bake when you can look like this in 15 minutes, skin cancer-free? HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Shelley is amazing!!!! She suggests the PERFECT tanning product for your skin tone! None of my tans have turned out weird and overly-dark. Zero dorito effect!!! The tan lasted quite sometime after she told me it would start wearing off...yay!! I've been sprayed now quite a few times, and this last time, the waitress at the pool in Vegas told me I had beautiful, glowing skin I didn't tell her it was a spray tan! All the glory with zero damage I highly suggest her for all your events, that you want to look and feel your best! Thanks girl!!! read more

As much as I want to keep this spot all to myself I just have to let everyone know how great this place is. Shelly is the tanning expert. She nailed exactly the look I wanted. The color I usually get, got discontinued from the brand they use (a great formula btw) and Shelly used her magic to make the exact same color using other colors. Truly amazing how she did that. I've been back 5 times now & I drive almost an hour to get there every time because she's just so talented. Definitely would recommend Shelly read more

I feel like a bronze goddess thanks to Marie, the owner at Liquid Sunshine! I am a HUGE fan of airbrush tanning. It's the best and now the only way I'll go for a completely even and natural looking tan - I won't go back to tanning beds or MagicTan ever again. The set up Marie has is very comfortable, and she is super friendly and makes you forget that you're in the buff in front of a stranger. The whole process is really easy and takes up to 15 minutes. She's very thorough, covering every inch of your body, and takes her time to ensure a beautiful looking tan. The little place has a cute beach theme going on, where there are three changing rooms with overhead fans and heaters, separate from the treatment room, so you don't have to rush out of there before you're dry. So far, I'm extremely happy with the deep tan I've developed in just 48 hours. No blotches, streaks or unnatural coloration. With proper care, the tan should last up to 10 days! Keys to a perfect tan: make sure you exfoliate really well before going in, wear loose dark clothing and flip flops, and avoid contact with water for 8-12 hours. Right now, first time clients get a buy one get one free tan for $45, which is a great deal. There's several packages you can choose from if you think you'll be a regular - I'll most likely be purchasing one, since swimsuit season is starting soon! Actually, my girlfriends and I are having a private pre-Wet Republic airbrushing party at Marie's salon where we'll be bringing some bubbly and nibblies... now wouldn't you like to be invited to that? read more

I am not new to this fake & bake. While I like being sun kissed and not sunkist...I will take healthy skin over charred skin any day. With that being said...Liquid Sunshine is FANTASTIC. A local woman owned business, this nautical inspired joint makes you want to keep coming back and back. Marie, the owner, goes back waaay back. She used to work at the Four Seasons, and is sought out by man sun worshipers. She is awesome and if you aren't satisfied with your color, she will reapply. She wants you happy and wants you coming back!. I opted for dark. Since I am a PRO...I figured I would truly give it a go. Full Monty made and appearance, and the only remnant of my previous color was the sticker I applied on my wrist. Hot, if I don't say so myself. Here are some of my spray tan facts...interpret and do with them as you wish. FACT: You will need to get NAKED. However, keep in mind your level of nakedness is totally up to you. Marie is extremely accommodating, and you won't feel awkward going butt naked! FACT: You should wear loose clothing. No bra, a strappy loose dress is ideal. FACT: The mixture used at Liquid Sunshine is organic and remarkably stench free. If you leave it on longer than the suggested 8-10 hours, it will get funkdafied! As compared to other joints I have smelled, this liquid is not as potent. FACT. The spray tan is liquid on your skin, and although it will dry, It may rub off on clothes. They recommend not showering for at least 8-10 hours after treatment. If you get treated later in the day, then that time frame cuts into your sleep time. It's best to sleep with the spray on, so the color can truly saturate into your skin. Again, it will wash off and if worse comes to worse, sleep on towels. FACT: The treatment will wash off considerably in the shower. It's almost like a scene out of Psycho. Don't freak out, your "glow" will stay on. FACT: The tan will last 3-7 days. Don't scrub and pat dry! FACT: Darker is better. Like I mentioned, a considerable amount will wash off. FACT: Use the fans so you don't streak. Don't put on your clothes till you are dry. And trust me, when they tell you to hold your arms up high, DO IT. FACT: Tan your face, you don't want to look like a white faced clown. She is running a "BOGO" special...so get 2 tans for under 50 bucks! read more

I'm an esthetician. I tell my clients every day to be sure to wear spf 30 every day, rain or shine. UVA and UVB rays damage the skin, are carcinogenic, and contribute to premature aging. It's so important to protect yourself from so much potential harm! That being said, who wants to be pasty white all summer? I personally go to Marie at Liquid Sunshine and send all my clients over to her as well. Her airbrush tans are flawless! She can turn anyone into a bronzed goddess (or god!) in under 15 minutes. Marie's technique is impeccable, and she's so much fun to chat with! Tan the healthy way-- get an airbrush tan at Liquid Sunshine! read more

I have tanned religiously for the past several years, beginning in San Diego and currently in Los Gatos after I moved up in 2015. As soon as I relocated, I was on the hunt for a tanning professional who would go the extra mile. So many places (especially in Los Gatos, Silicon Valley and SF) will not apply effort to a client. There are very few nice tanning facilities, and the vast majority are larger places with high employee turn-around whose hearts aren't really in it. SO not the case with Shelley. Shelley is by far the best tanning pro in the Bay Area, let alone Los Gatos or Silicon Valley. In all honesty, her attention to detail, customer service, and warm, amazing personality make her second to none. Her tans always look amazing, not once have I "streaked" after seeing her, and she makes a concerted effort to accommodate my obnoxious schedule. Aside from being a talented tanning professional, she is also a businesswoman. Everything you see, she has built - with little to no help. She works her butt off, which is very clear to anyone who has seen her. She is absolutely the best, I have so much respect for her, and I do not know what I would do without her! read more

Shelly is amazingly accommodating and professional. She's sprayed me for photo shoots, vacations and recently the most important day of my life: my wedding. She does an amazing, thorough, and perfect job giving natural looking tans. I referred my bridesmaids to her and honestly would send anyone to her - she's the best. She did a phenomenal job and she's great at keeping a conversation going and making it a comfortable and relaxing experience. She's my girl, and she should be yours too! read more

Best airbursh tan in the bay area!!!! Or elsewhere for that matter....Marie's AWESOME...i highly recommend her, she treats every tan the same and doesn't ever streak or make mistakes! My tan lasted a full week before it began to fade!!!! :) If you put Jergens tinted lotion over your tan everyday it will last much longer than if you don't moisturize. Tinted moisturizers are the best. Make sure to shower before you go and be completely free of perfumes, lotions, deoderants, oils anything and stay away from water and lotion for 10 hours after tanning. It's best to go in early morning so you can go a full day and sleep on it before you need to shower. read more

This was my first spray tan ever, Shelley made me feel very comfortable and confident about the whole process. She was incredibly talented during the tan and was very mindful about my sensitive skin and spots of eczema. Her helpfulness about the post-tan protocol made the experience that much better. This was my final attempt at tanning. I've tried everything from tanning beds to self tanners and have never had any luck! I always burn and self tanners just look orange and blotchy. I've tried the automated airbrush tanning machines... but the result looks like someone threw mud all over me. So my last attempt at getting a nice tan on my lily white skin was a major success at Liquid Sunshine!!! I've never seen anything so amazing on me! I almost cried because I look so good. It came out even and gave me a perfect glow that lasted about two weeks. I'll never stop coming here and I hope it never closes!!! read more
