Love the Gilroy location! The staff is always so friendly and make it a point to remember your name and even take note of your favorite beds. A special should out to Annie, she always has good recommendations on which bed to try, depending on the type of tan you are trying to achieve or maintain! read more

Just moved out to Gilroy! I'm used to going to the MH location and my first time trying this location this morning. I normally get the spray Catalina level 3 but unfortunately they were out. The other color available was the Monterey, which they happened to be out of as well. The only other option was the "clear". I like it because it's a little more gradual of a transition vs. the Catalina but I definitely would rather be a lot darker. Hopefully they get more in soon. Although they were out of the product the employees were super kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend the clear for someone who wants something a little more subtle or for in between sprays, for like a touch up. read more

Jasmine is phenomenal- such a doll. I've been several times already but tonight she explained that I could go into the spray tanning booth for more than one pass through. Didn't know that until tonight lol. Appreciated her service!! It's always clean and convenient to go in. Def recommend! read more

Out off ALL of the locations, this one is my absolute favorite! I will drive out of my way always to use this location. Veronica and her staff are the most friendly and knowledge group! I always feel welcomed, accommodated and the facility is super clean! 10/10 recommend Australian tan and even more recommendations for the Gilroy location! read more

Amazing place to tan. Staff is very kind and attentive to my needs. The store is very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend.

Jasmine is amazing. Great work ethic and customer service she will be greatly missed!

The staff members are super welcoming & kind. Tanning beds are always clean & I always love my results!!!

Amazing staff and always super clean. I've been tanning with Australian Tan for over 10 years.

Always consistent! Love this place and have been coming here for years! The staff is always friendly and the facilities are always clean. read more

You can never go wrong with Australian Tan. Always great customer service! Jasmine especially is very knowledgeable and sweet.

Great selection of good quality products. Sierra is my go-to for information on all lotion purchases. She has the product and systems knowledge to assist me with selections to achieve the results I want. read more

Wanted to update my great experience with Michelle in customer service. Had to freeze my account and get a refund due to the SIP and personal safety. She was very helpful and facilitated all the necessary steps to get the process handled. Very excellent service from this company and a great team. read more

I went in for a spray tan yesterday and Rachel was super sweet and informative. They had specials going and she wasn't pushy like other sales people. It had been a long time since I got a spray tan so she was going through everything very thoroughly. The rooms were super spacey and nice. read more

Great Service!!! Everyone is always very nice and super helpful with any questions. Overall amazing!

I purchased a package of 6 tans in the accelerated tanning bed. My first session went horribly as the bed kept shutting off and the maximum amount of time in it was 10 minutes. I had to get up, get dressed and find the only employee working at the time who just turned the bed back on. It happened twice, I got out twice and in the third time it shut off early I gave up and left. I wasn't offered anything for the inconvenience and a free session would have been the norm at any other place. I called when I got home to speak to a manager but they weren't available and never received a call back. I didn't go back although I had 5 tans left on the high powered bed as I was annoyed at the faulty bed and lack of any concern or customer service. * side note: it was a solid 30 minute drive each way from my home at the time* I recently moved closer to the location and called to enquirer about my 5 tans remaining. I was told by the woman answering the phone that they are no longer valid after 1 years time. I purchased them in 2017. I never signed anything that stated they had an expiry date nor was I told they expired. As you know this place is far from cheap. I feel totally ripped off and the person I spoke to couldn't have cared less. The place is nice...I do question the equipment and I'm not a fan of their customer service as there is NONE. Be cautious before buying packages here, ask questions. I wasn't told nor did I sign anything regarding the expiry date of my purchase. read more

I absolutely love this place! It's clean and friendly atmosphere makes it a great place to tan. I have to say that Haleigh has done an amazing job with this facility. I have really enjoyed getting to know her and I'm gonna hate to see her go because she is always early to work, making me on time. The beds and rooms are spotless, and she always has great suggestions for tanning products because she listens to what her clients needs are. The Gilroy store is loosing a great manager and an amazing person! read more

The "rules they have established, specifically no bathrooms, makes no sense. Also, I don't understand why the hours in the weekends are so limited. Not sure if they want customers or what is going on. read more

I wanted to give a shoutout to 2 amazing people who work at the Gilroy location and those 2 special ladies are "Sam & Dasia"! I had stopped tanning for about 8yrs signed back up about 6/7 months ago. My interactions with both Sam and Dasia has been nothing but exceptional customer service. I wish every business that I frequent most all had employees such as these 2 ladies. They are always polite, respectful, and have gone above and beyond not only for myself but I have witnessed them both doing to same for other customers. I am amazed at how they both handle and deal with rude customers, who have yelled at them for an issue that is out of their control. They remain professionals and other people who work in a customer service job could learn a lot from watching these 2 ladies! They both brighten my day when I walk in and see one of them working that day! read more

Update: just wanted to also add that the customer service team is fantastic. They are easy to interact with and always accommodating and willing to help. I've been with Australian for years now and I've got to tan at multiple locations and Gilroy is one of my top fav. I recently sprayed (level 3 monterey is the best!) and had a really good experience with Natalie. She was super knowledgeable about the products and helped guide me to the right spray level/bronzer for what I wanted to achieve. The other girl seemed nice too and gave some of her personal input which made me trust them a little more. Natalie was seriously one of the nicest tanning professionals I've had at Australian. Some of the other girls at other locations have bad attitudes and are very unprofessional. They made me feel welcomed and not judged for asking questions. read more

Incredible salon, super clean, great beds and selection of services. The monthly package is the way to go. Sam helped me pick out great lotions and the best option for me. I'm so ecstatic I found this place and Sam's customer service was amazing! I found my new tanning salon home! Love, love, love! read more

Julia and Aziza were the most amazing people I have ever met, they did not just help me out with everything they made sure I felt right at home. Couldn't ever ask for better service, I honestly never had customer service like that ever... so shout out to them for being professional, nice and just accommodating. Will come back soon read more

Horrible first impression. I walked in to an eye roll from the front desk. Young girl needs some real life customer service training. She was so rude when I asked how much for a couple sessions. She told me " it's too expensive " and you can't get a base tan in three sessions! Excuse me little girl I make six figures and I was asking the price not your opinion! I wanted a tan to get rid of some tan lines for a bridesmaid dress... I'll take my business elsewhere read more

RUDE STAFF. Don't go here unless you want to be belittled. The staff acted as if we were annoying them & made us feel very uncomfortable. I tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt, but I guess I should have listened to the horrible reviews about this place. Definitely never coming back again. read more

This place drives me crazy. I used to tan there often several years ago but stopped going for health reasons. Also, I always felt so pressured into signing up for a membership. I tried again last year before a vacation and it was the same thing. The employee seemed completely bothered with me that I didn't want to sign up for a membership. It was literally like she was pissed. So, I'm going on vacation again and I decided to give it another chance..so I called to try and get some info before I go in. How many tans do I need to get a nice base, pricing etc? The conversation goes: Me: hi, I'm going on vacation and I'd like to tan a couple of times before. I was wondering what you suggest to get a nice base tan and how much it would be? Employee: well you should just do a membership if you want a base tan Me: I don't want a membership I just want to tan maybe twice Her: oh, well it's $35 each time Me: is that for any bed? Her(annoyed time): yes, any bed. I can explain it better in person I don't understand how this employee suggests a membership when I'm specifically explaining I want to tan for an upcoming vacation...does she think it's 6 months away? Is there no way to get a nice tan unless you go several times a month? And, why not at least ask some questions first. Also, why can't she explain it over the phone? Non of it makes sense.. I'm in the restaurant business and this type of salesmanship is exactly what I teach employees not to do I won't go back...guess I'll be driving to San Jose to tan read more

The best in town. Love the red light therapy. Tanning is great. The staff is really nice and helpful

Went in for a spray tan today after years of not going. Was very impressed with the level of customer service Emily provided. She was very knowledged in the packages they had to offer and products to enhance the tanning. She was very thorough in explaining what I had purchased as well as the other locations available, cancellation and temp hold procedures. She was super friendly, very professional and I was very impressed with her and my experience returning to tanning. Keep up the great job Emily!! read more

I'm a new member at Australian Tan and have to say that it's been a great experience. I was trying to avoid getting a burn on a recent trip to Maui so started to build my "base tan." I've had really good experiences with everyone I've come in contact with, but have to say that Antonia and Sam are super knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I can recommend them highly! read more

Tanning made easy!! I am able to get in and out quickly and the girls always make sure the beds are clean. Several beds to choose from if your favorite is being used. read more

I've been coming to this location for quite some time. I've never experienced such a dirty bed or poor service. If the employees spent less time on their phone, gossiping and taking "selfies" and actually doing something work related the rooms and beds would be much cleaner. Genuinely disappointed in this location and it's management. read more

Australian Tan - Spray Tanning Near Me - Gilroy, California

The five stars are for the girls who work in the Gilroy shop. They have always. Been very professional and kind. Unlike two of the girls in the Morgan hill shop. And I live right next to the Morgan hill shop ,have been there many many times. I've spent $1000s on Australian tan .most they took out of Bank account after I canceled my membership. So lots of neg. With this company. However the #5 bed is so awesome I keep trying and only Morgan hill Australian tan has that Bed. read more

I'm confused as to why some people are saying this is the most expensive tanning place ever...Ive been with Australian tan since 2007...I've tried other places but never get any results I always come out with a rash or there's always something wrong with the dingy beds they've got. Literally when I lived in Fremont I had to drive to San Jose/Campbell and Sunnyvale Australian Tan every time I wanted to tan. The prices are more than fair and their beds are the best of the best. My husband and i just moved to Gilroy and I was so happy when I saw an Australian tan right by my house...I usually put my account on hold during the winter and pay $5 a month and when I come back to tan all that money is saved in an account and I can use it towards a lotion! Pretty awesome...never had an issue canceling or putting it on hold, yes it's snail mail but send it when you're supposed to and you're good! read more

Noelle is the sweetest employee and she is so helpful. She took the time to explain everything to me throughly after all the questions I asked. read more

Well first of all they wouldn't accept the yelp deal unless I used it on lotions (total Rip off ) Second, I wanted a quick tan so I was looking at the fastest or instant beds. They wanted $60 + for one time use. Third, I looked into spray tans. $35 for two tans. It's a machine not a person so no matter what they say your going to have a streak some where ( or at least I have) Iv spray tanned multiple times and still never get it perfect. It is a very beautiful building, customer service was pretty good although I think they were trying to up sell and charge more then it should ever cost hoping I'd fall for it which I did not! Oh and for a monthly membership they want a $200 cancelation fee. I will give it another try but want a quick tan ( not spray ) and to not feel like I'm being pulled into the biggest rip off ever. read more

I have been going here since 2007 and over the years of course employees change but I still get great service. They know me before I walk in the door and have me set up in a bed or try to give me options if the beds I use are already in use. Always very clean and professional. read more

Good place for yur wife to talk Yu into getting her a membership all men beware lol I like it it keep my wife a nice golden color

Great place. Very clean, and I found a coupon both on their site and one on yelp (the yelp one of which I ended up using). Bonus was that the lady at the desk gave me a one week for free card for new clients, which was ideal for a friend. I used the first bed by the front door and it is supposed to be more of a golden color and it certainly is. I didn't burn at all and after two visits I have a really great tan. Nice to have a place with good bulbs and can get you in and out pretty fast. And nice to have a really nice color tan too! read more

Australian Tan is amazing! They have many beds to choose from for every level of tanner. The location is always very clean and the staff knows how to keep it that way. They stock the very best in lotions, moisturizers and tan extenders and always have some great deal available. I can't rave enough about the personal; Christina, Ashley, Lauren, Alex and Danielle are excellent, they go far and above expectations in service and friendliness to give the ultimate tanning experience. The owners of Australian Tan really know what they're doing!! read more
