burnt my skin off. my eyebrows were so ugly and horrible. her vibe was alright but she needs to learn to mind her business too.

I went in for my first Brazilian wax ever and Marylou was immediately so personable and welcoming. She talked me through the entire thing (which only took about 10 minutes) because I was nervous and she was so supportive. Definitely coming back because of her amazing customer service and skills. read more

Today I finally got my long and outgrown brows cleaned up after letting all the covid shutdowns defeat me. To be honest seeing myself look like 16 year old me wasn't bad however once my husband mentioned a dinner date I wanted to get dolled up so I decided it was time to get sexy back. I messaged the studio on their Instagram page and was given dates/times for the following day as well as their site to set up an appointment. I was contacted by the esthetician Marylou in the morning to inform me an earlier appointment had become available which I took. The shop is small and cute and Marylou was warm and inviting. I love that she got right to work and took her time through the whole process. I am so glad I found someone who specializes in waxing and really enjoys what they do. I will definitely be back, thanks Marylou! read more

Thank you Marylou for getting me ready for Cancun. You made the process feel so relaxed and speedy at the same time. You are truly gifted.

Just got my first Brazilian today (actually first wax experience ever!), and I wanted to shout out Nicole for her warm manner and being so thorough! I had walked in just for questions (knowing I had to make an appointment), and she actually ended up having an open space to take me right then and there. She made me feel extremely comfortable the entire time and the pain was very minimal! The pricing is great and I can't wait to make this a normal thing! All the reviews I've read have all been about the business owner, Marylou (and I'm sure she's FABULOUS!), but I just had to shout out how amazing Nicole was as well! Thanks girl!! read more

first time i went there i was nervous but the girls made me feel so comfortable and that's really what getting a wax is all about!

I've been coming to Marylou for about 3 years now for my Brazilians and I refuse to go anywhere else. Even with the pandemic causing shut downs, there isn't anyone else I trust to wax me at this time more than her. I've been to two other people before I became a regular at The Wax Studio and she has made me feel the most comfortable from the very beginning. She's super easy to talk to and her customer service is awesome! I highly recommend coming here! read more

I had my first appointment today with Marylou. She was really nice, easy going and professional. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and she has had experience waxing pregnant women before so she made sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment. The room for waxing is private and has one table so it was an intimate, relaxed setting without feeling crammed. Overall she did a wonderful job, didn't miss a spot and my legs are super smooth. read more

Firstly I would like to thank Mary for helping me out when I had a spider bit near my chin area and I had 2 breakout due to that and she made sure that she tried to heal me in best way. she accommodated me everyday out of her busy schedule so that I am treated well for my skin. I Remember when I had initially given her a call she was busy with her clients and still next day she made sure she texted me and accommodated me. I appreciate that about her. Secondly I love her cute studio with a very positive vibe and yes of course very cozy. Thirdly I had gone for a facial after a week and she made sure my skin glows since I had to attend a wedding. I was completely tired and stressed and she made sure I relax while she does my facial. The bed was super warm clean and relaxing. I like the way she does my facial and in the end my skin was super soft from super dry, after facial my skin was smooth and glowing. I like the product that she uses on my face next time I might end up buying them. I have moved to Gilroy a year back and I am glad I have met the right person who can take care of my face. I don't need to worry at all. When it comes to Mary oh she is amazing person. I guess she is such a positive person and she would make you feel at home while u at her studio. I would recommend all beautiful ladies to go get ur facial done relax till the time u are at her studio and look gorgeous!!! Also I need to mention my husband never goes for facial since he says men don't need it but since I wanted him to go relax and get the facial done fro Mary, he did go and he liked what Mary did to his face. So thank you Mary for making me look beautifuland helping with my husband face too. And yes thank you for those small cute samples They are very helpful while I am traveling. See you soon read more

I have been going to Mary Lou on and off for some time now for brazilian waxes, and in all of my experiences, it is always the same.. wonderful! I've been going to Marylou for almost 2 years now and I've realized that Marylou is the Best. And here's why, 1. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. And above all, Very Very Hygienic. 2. When I started with her, my eyebrows were a mess thanks to the wrong places i was going to all along. 2 years later, I actually have eyebrows. 3. She doesn't sell you unnecessary products / services - and that's a big one for me. 4. No matter how busy she may be, she'll always respond to my 11th-hour texts I send her - and I have sent her quite a few "rescue me/us" cries. 5. Marylou's demeanor and ability to put one at ease helped tremendously when I took my very reluctant and nervous tween to her a little over a year ago. I'd highly recommend her and Thank You Marylou! read more

Just got my first Brazilian wax, as well as an underarm wax. It hurt much less than I thought it would. Marylou chatted with me and helped me relax, and she told me to take a breath when she was about to pull the strip. I love how smooth everything looks and feels now that there's no hair. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Came here for my first Brazilian wax with Marylou. I was super nervous about letting someone see my lady part but Marylou was great at making me feel comfortable and talking me through what she was doing. The pain wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be some parts were better than others but totally bearable! It's been about a week since my wax and I'm still so smooth. Brazilian waxes are a life saver I won't be using my razor anytime soon! I definitely recommend the wax studio to anyone! read more

Marylou is the best! I come here to get Brazilians and she makes every wax as painless as possible. She is very professional, makes you feel comfortable, and is super knowledgeable about what she does. Also is flexible with your schedule. If you have any questions, she's happy to help and even connected me to a trusted associate when I asked her if she knew people in DC who I could go to for waxes when I'm away at school. I've visited The Wax Studio twice already and I'm sure that I will be coming back for more waxes. Marylou is very friendly and is just as welcoming to her customers. I was nervous that I would never find a genuine esthetician after Carla left but I'm so happy Marylou messaged me since I was an old customer of Carla's. She does a great job with her waxes. She gives very good advice for a more cleaner precise wax when next time comes around. I'd recommend to visit the wax studio for anyone that doesn't want to spend a huge amount of $ at the salon since her prices are very reasonable. read more
