I travel from San Jose to go to this location two to three times a week. The location has tanning beds, spray tans, Halo, Cocoon, Red light bed, AND an InBody! I loved using the InBody but you do have to buy it monthly. I do not spray tan so I cannot comment on it, but I use the beds. The beds are clean and bulbs are changed regularly so they are never out. If a bed is having issues the issue is resolved quickly. The Red light bed is a tiny bed and a bit claustrophobic so I would like to suggest a newer and more spacious bed. I love the Halo and Cocoon! Also the products for them make my skin feel amazing! Speaking of lotions, they are constantly coming out with new products that are great for color in the beds! Overall, Morgan Hill is my first choice and favorite location for Australian Tan.

Prices and bundles are comparable to other tanning salons. Signing up, account upgrading, account freezing, account restarting, and cancelling are a total breeze in-store. I've never been charged random fees or been tricked into paying for an extra month. I recently opted to freeze over the winter. When I came back, my $28 in freezing fees were converted to store credit, which I put toward a new lotion on a 50% off deal. There was no reactivation fee, and my same unlimited rate was honored. However all those drugs basically work the same way, by damaging the immune system, mostly the T cells and there's many potential side effects. For moderate to severe psoriasis the drugs are probably a good option, but there's real risks. Before modern drugs, the only way to control psoriasis was by exposure to UV rays. Dermatologists still offer UV treatments in their clinics. UVB rays are the most helpful for psoriasis. At Rio Tanning I use a bed that has 70% UVA rays and 30%UVB rays. I recently had my yearly checkup with my dermatologist and he confirmed that for this is the best way for me to treat my psoriasis. I'm glad I decided to do the trial run because I was better prepared for the second round. I knew how to hold my arms/wrists better to avoid creases, knowing to ask my spray artist to wipe my wrists after, and prepping better like exfoliating and moisturizing (do not skip this). I was consistent with exfoliating and lotion for 5 days prior to my second tan and it came out way better than the first. Both spray artists I had were polite and comfortable to be around since you gotta stand there naked lol. I will say since I am very pale to begin with it was a good choice going with their "clear coat" spray to avoid looking orange. There were some pictures I'm seeing from the wedding that make me look oranger than others but overall I was happy with how it turned out.

They offer so many great services, and overall I still think it's one of the best tanning places in the area. However, I've recently been disappointed with the service I've been receiving. When I book my red light and Level 5 sessions, I specifically ask the girls at the front if I'll be able to go directly into Level 5 afterward because I do not want to wait in between sessions. Multiple times now, I've been told yes, only to come out of red light and then be asked to sit in the lobby and wait. To be fair, I completely understand if it gets busy sometimes. But this has happened more than a couple of times even when there hasn't been anyone else waiting in the lobby. It creates an uncomfortable experience because I'm obviously not fully dressed, assuming I'm going straight into my next session. I think communication is key, especially when clients are paying premium membership prices. If I'm going to have to wait, I'd rather just be told beforehand so I can either come back later or go to the Livermore location, which has honestly never made me wait like this. As a longtime client, I just haven't been happy with the recent experience. Sitting in the lobby waiting while feeling uncomfortable and exposed has made the experience feel negative lately, which is disappointing because I've genuinely loved this place for years.
