I purchased and paid upfront for a complete laser hair removal package and had my first treatment performed by Claudia. After the appointment, I learned more about California's licensing requirements for who can perform laser treatments, so my husband called Balance Med Spa to confirm Claudia's credentials. He specifically asked if Claudia was an RN and was told yes. When he then asked for her RN license number so we could verify it, the response changed. The person on the phone stumbled over his answer and then said, "Well, I'm the nurse," explaining that Claudia performed my treatment for sensitivity/comfort reasons. That interaction completely broke our trust. If we had simply accepted the initial answer that Claudia was an RN and hadn't asked for a license number, we would have walked away believing something that the conversation itself immediately called into question. We requested to discontinue the package, and Balance Med Spa agreed to issue us a refund, which I appreciate. I would strongly encourage anyone considering laser treatment here--or anywhere--to ask before treatment for the name and professional license/credentials of the individual who will actually be operating the laser, and verify that information for yourself.
