Beyond anything else, getting a crack repaired as fast as you possibly can is key. I did a quick search on yelp and called Reliable first. They let me know, they could be at our house in 2 hours. Within 2 hours, the tech arrived at my door and knocked out the crack fill and repair. In no time, the crack was nearly gone. It's been almost a year now and it hasn't spread out even the slightest. All around quality work and good price.

He told me that he cannot completely make it clear before working and I saw the result and it was as similar to what I saw before fixing. The chipping on my windshield is a quite old one but now at least shielded from growing. I got to see that there's limitation for the oldness of chipping. If you get something, bring it to the reaping store sooner so the result will be better. The staff was very quick and friendly. If I have to replace my windshield I'll come back here tho.

She said she's only doing house calls and the soonest she was available is Wed Apr 1st (today). I really needed it done by Monday but reluctantly I agreed to wait for Wed so her team could come to my home and knock it out. I gave her my full address, city state and zip on Friday. I spoke to her Monday and Tuesday this week to re-confirm address, pricing and details of what was to be tinted. Lo and behold she waits until one hour before her team is supposed to show up at my house today to tell me oh by the way she made a mistake and it's going to be $600 for me instead of $500. She is blaming it on the fact she didnt know our home was so far. She had opportunities to punch our address is on Friday, again on Monday and again on Tuesday but she claims she never did until one hour before arrival and now I've wasted 2-3 days of time when I could have gotten this job done elsewhere Monday morning or Friday afternoon last week. Horrible business practices this place has and I will never recommend anyone to them.

I picked up a rock driving behind a semi on the freeway and was angry big time. That thing looked like it was gunna take my head off. I google Austin lookin for a windshield shop and came upon an ad for Genuine Auto Glass. What caught my eye was the "Free Pizza" part of the ad so I called. They were nice enough and came out to my apartment the next day. It took em about 30 minutes to replace my windshield and they cleaned up all the mess and it looked good as new. The best part was that I got a voucher for a free pizza from Southside Flying Pizza on south congress, great pizza by the way. My insurance paid for the windshield and I got a free pizza dinner. Not a bad end to a crap ur pants moment on the freeway. read more

As a long time contractor/business owner I know all about customer service and how important it is. This is my first encounter with this company and I am very impressed. I hope I never need a windshield/door window replaced again, but if I do I will most certainly call them! I called in the morning and had the work done and the installer (Mike) gone by 1pm. Awesome! I woke up this morning and my door glass had been smashed in my some creeps in the neighborhood and it was pouring down rain and my car was getting soaked. I found Austin Windshields online so I called and said I was very desperate and they dropped everything and got the glass I needed and rushed over and they were done within 2 hours of me dialing the phone. Their manager assured that the window they had ordered met "all manufacturer standards". Word for word from Helen, the manager over there. Come to find out following the replacement that the glass is not even the correct size for the vehicle! There is NO WAY that an incorrectly sized window "meets all manufacturer specifications" for my car, and the vehicle is still exposed to both wind noise and weather elements. When I notified them of this, they acknowledged that they made a mistake but told me that because they gave me a discounted price they cannot do anything about this. I did not receive what I paid for, and their refusal to work with me or make this right is unacceptable. Completely agree with the other negative reviews, they leave you no choice but to contact BBB and attempt to take legal action over something as simple as replacing a window. Will update this review if the business shows any sign of making this right.

I contacted Helen and she informed me it would cost over $600 to replace I offered her to refund me for just the part she wasn't truthful about fitting on my car (no refund on labor) and she refused, citing the reason as she "gave me a discount" on the defective part in the first place. This is all ridiculous I would have paid almost whatever without them being shady from the start about meeting manufacturing specs. The only reason I went this route is because it was going to take forever at the dealership smh

The trouble of driving the car on road with all warnings as the safety features are working is for the owner. I definitely wont recommend them for cars with advanced safety features. Had they informed me, my choice definitely would have been Safelite or the dealer. The money got wasted and AGS is not refunding anything. Such bad customer service wasn't expected after reading yelp reviews.
