Tuesday: Oh man, I think that's a rock chip on my car... I should probably do something about that... Wednesday: IT HAILS and my rock chip gets worse. I get home from work and examine it. My boyfriend tells me I need to take care of it before it gets worse. Yeah yeah I will...... Thursday: I had some patient cancellations at work and decided to go on a Yelp spree to get quotes for rock chip fixes. People were quoting me 60+ for a rock chip (1/8") and even 90+ for mobile service. I called Paul at Rock Chip Solutions and he was professional, friendly, and honestly.. he just sounded like someone I could trust. He quoted me 50 (cheapest quote I received) for one rock chip fix, and an extra 10 for each additional chip. He said since I had State Farm, he would offer 40 to fix the rock chip. He said he could even come that day to my job in Pflugerville to fix it. He accommodated my work schedule and met me at 6PM as he said he would (even though his business closes at 6). He noticed another rock chip that I didn't even see myself and it was a pretty bad one so I'm glad he saw it. He finished it within 15 minutes (might have even been less). I was so impressed with his service, I even asked to tip him because I couldn't believe how fast and easy he made it for me. My insurance company, State Farm, connected me with Paul from Rock Chip Solutions to fix a huge circular crack on my car windshield. They called several in town and no one picked up. But, Rock Chip Solutions was the only one that picked up and was willing to treat the day of. I was going to get this fixed during lunch time but he made it easier for me by coming to my apartment complex after 5 p.m. He is professional, nice, informative, and told me exactly what he's doing the window and was honest about the process and what kind of results he can give before he began to treat it. Paul was amazing! He got back to me immediately, educated me on how insurance works here in Texas (I am brand new to the state) and showed up to fix the chip in my windshield the very next day. He handled all of the dealing with my insurance company, and even offers a reduced rate if your insurance doesn't cover it. (And even his NOT reduced rate was far lower than other companies I called FWIW.) When he arrived, he was friendly, communicative and helpful... and then when a huge wind gust knocked over a bunch of things in my garage he immediately stopped what he was doing (FIXING MY WINDSHIELD!!!) to pick them up for me! My car had a decent sized crack growing and a small chip that I knew would only continue to get worse over time. I had just accepted to let it be...that is until Paul was able to work his magic on fixing the minor chip and stopping the major crack (about the size of a dollar-bill) from becoming an even greater eye sore, something I didn't know was possible! Amazing customer service. I emailed Wednesday to set up an appointment and that same day Mr. Lopez responded and we set up an appointment. I got there and he fixed 3 window chips in about 15 minutes total. It looks great and I only paid $50 compared to $150 I would have paid for someone to come to my house. I found Rock Chip solutions online after searching for a place to have a small windshield chip repaired.
