I was concerned about the previous review that mentioned a sticker that was placed beneath the film, and apparently that only is done if a car dealership sends the car in to be tinted. We've now had two cars tinted by Sunbusters. The price is worth the product. The service both times has been spectacular. We've used both the 183 and 620 locations. We have the Pinnacle tint with and the Air 90 on the front windshield. Ever sat in this wonderful Texas sun and roasted from the sun coming through the front window. The windshield film blocks the heat. As long as I live in Texas every car I own will have ceramic tint and the windshield film. I highly recommend Sunbusters and the products they use. read more

Not happy with the sun buster sticker placed on my two front windows between the tint and glass. I called them about it and they said they were required to put it on there. Never in my 8 years living in Texas have they put a sticker on my window. Looks more like an advertisement than what they claim they are doing it for. Other than that tint looks good/ they could be more careful around the windows when cutting the film as to not actually cut the seal. After visiting most of the top local tint shops, I gave Nick at Sunbusters of Lakeway a call and peppered him with questions. I liked his thoughtful, nuanced responses and booked an appointment. When I walked in the shop looked and felt different: two large bays with a work table, laser cutter and room for multiple cars. A nice place to hang out and watch Nick work. It took him about an hour, wheeling around on his little stool, to apply the laser cut Llumar Air Blue 80 to my new Toyota Corolla Hatchback. He covered all the windows except the windshield (illegal to tint in Texas) for $349, tax included. Prices due vary by vehicle size. The window edges were even, the acute angles were slightly rounded, and no bubbles or imperfections that I could see. This ceramic tint comes with a lifetime warranty and blocks UV (99%, pretty standard) and 43% of solar energy (TSER) and 60% of the IRER (a measure of heat, 780-2500nm) while letting in 80% of the visible light. Very pleased with the quality of the install and how it performs in full sun. The location is a little off the beaten path, but exactly the kind of business that I enjoy visiting: great product, commercial-level execution and run by a really nice guy who just happens to be an efficient perfectionist. read more

I wanted to wait at least a couple of months before I wrote this review. I just wanted to be certain that the Window Tinting was a good one and not bluster or peal with time. Nick was in when I called the shop and he gave me directions to the location. Which by the way is not hard to find...I took in a 2018 Ford Explorer Platinum and wanted a complete Tint on all the window....I sat in the waiting area for him to finish....as I can recall it didn't really take that long as I read my owners manual to get familiar with the SUV. So today about 75 days in...the Window Tinting is still PERFECT....no blusters no peals anywhere....excellent job. I will most certainly be back with my next vehicle. read more

Nick is just a great guy to deal with! I had my Chevy Bolt tinted all around with Llumar Pinnacle Ceramic (enormous thermo-insulation and no interference with your electric devices) and Llumar Air 90 (30% reduction in Infrared radiation and is 100% invisible) on the windshield and he completed the whole job in less than 3 hours! Very clean shop, great waiting area with a large sofa and armchair, rest room and a coffee machine (all is super clean and nice), free Wi-Fi and HD TV to have you entertained while waiting. Nick is a true PERFECTIONIST: I had a couple of very little bubbles on a windshield (and I must say a windshield is HUGE on Chevy Bolt!) and on a driver side, so Nick insisted on replacing the film so everything is flawless!
