Waited for this company on my own behalf for 2+ weeks. Once I was finally ready they got me on the schedule quickly. Everything was great. I pulled up on time- I am waiting for my ride back. A stumbling employee shows up late and my friend and I can hear him vividly say "what a piece of shit truck" them laugh and walk inside like he didn't even want to touch the truck for his work day. Then after everything was ready to go, they called me back and said it would be $60 a window to remove 6 windows worth of tint. Costing about 50% of the entire estimate. I took my car to Xtrem auto detail and window tint to have the rear window tint removed and replaced. I was quoted a $ via text--no paperwork, no clear terms--no agreement and they went ahead with the job. (My mistake) They removed the tint but left adhesive residue all over the glass. Instead of properly finishing the job, they told me I needed a new back window. I contacted Honda, who quoted me over $1,100 for a replacement. When I reached out to the owner, he claimed I was warned the adhesive might not come off, but that conversation never happened. There was no accountability or resolution. For a second opinion, I took my car to Sunbusters, a reputable shop in Austin with over 20 years of experience and a 5.0 rating. They immediately recognized that the situation could have been handled differently and noted that the damage to my window was avoidable. It was clear to me that extreme auto detailing and tint lacked both the skills and professionalism expected for this kind of work. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I just moved to Austin this week for work and decided to make the drive from California to Austin. It's a long long long drive and I drove our SUV and a friend followed me in my M3. I watched countless bugs hit the windshield and decided to use Yelp to find a good detailer to clean the cars once I arrived. These guys went above and beyond. I got the top package for my 1987 Grand Wagoneer. The car looks incredible. They polished the chrome bumpers, they cleaned up the paint, they cleaned up the whole engine bay. My apartment complex restriped the parking lot, but the vendor who did it was completely unprofessional and ended up spraying my new(ish) black car with the fire lane paint. It was all over the rear of the car and the driver's side and it just looked BAD. After arguing with my complex, they finally agreed to pay for me to get it removed. I asked a gearhead friend of mine where he takes his cars, and he recommended Xtreme Auto Detailing. I'm so very glad he did. PROS: -Working with Daniel was so simple, you can tell that he runs his business well and truly understands the value of customer service. He never once tried to up charge me or push any additional services (this is a big plus since I'm a woman and have to deal with that from time to time) he simply listened to what I needed/wanted, and set it up. He also had no issues going directly to my complex for payment since I told him I didn't trust them to reimburse me for the services. -When I arrived, the boys were ready to go and all very welcoming. I felt well taken care of and was impressed by how hard they worked to get my car back in black. -I decided to add leather conditioning to my services since hand sanitizer was wrecking havoc on my steering wheel. I told Daniel I'd pay for it if my complex objected, but he created the invoice so that it only reflected the body shop hourly rate. BIG POINTS for that one! -The cherry on top was when I picked up my car. The young kid who works on the cars came with me to show me all the paint removal before I drove off. My car looked INCREDIBLE, just like the day I drove it off the lot save for the random plastic piece of I-don't-know-what that had been hanging down on my rear passenger side for about a year after I hit a curb backing out on an incline. He got under the car and saw that he could fix it with a couple of zip ties, so he ran in and grabbed them. I was so excited to have that fixed, and so grateful that he was willing to take the time at the end of his work day to do it. That really sealed the deal for me in deciding to give them repeat business. I don't have a cons list, so instead... THINGS TO KNOW:-They can come to your location for certain run of the mill services which is nice to know for future reference. -They're by appointment only (this is probably standard, but I've never gotten my car detailed before, so I figured I'd add it), and they book out several days in advance. -There's a $50 deposit required to hold your appointment which is then applied to your total bill. All in all, I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone who mentions they need detailing services! read more

I reached out to Daniel via Yelp for a rush-order to save my vehicle from some ferocious fungi. Below is a story of my family's extreme need for Xtreme detailing, and the expert who fixed everything. Due to some prior shoddy shop-work (with absolutely no connection to this auto detailing review), the A/C condenser drain of my Acura TSX was mysteriously plugged, causing the reservoir at the bottom of the drain to fill. From here, water spilled over the top and slowly trickled into my front passenger carpeting. Drying out this area would normally have been an elementary task, but my feeble dehumidifier was no match for the month-long marathon of Austin storms in May 2016. The incessant rain fought back and maintained my garage's sauna-like 80% humidity, and also gave no outdoor reprieve in which I could have rolled down my windows in the driveway for some arid, drying air. Even after my wife and I discovered the cause and unplugged the drain, weeks passed without a proper drying solution for the soaked front passenger carpet, and a thin film of mildew and mold would soon blanket random spots inside of my vehicle. Simply put, my carpet was soaked and practically untreatable. Enter Xtreme Auto Detail. Daniel was very quick to answer my questions and follow-ups through the Yelp messaging system; we scheduled a Saturday detailing in short order. Before he arrived on Saturday, I sent a message to Daniel asking if I may add a second car to the process, and he cheerfully allowed it. Daniel pulled up next to my two cars in our cul-de-sac. [Updated 2017-01-13] [[ His rig is a Ford Transit van that should fit into any space a normal van would fit. ]] I ordered the Gold package for both of my vehicles and added the ozone and mold-killing package for my mistreated Acura TSX. I left Daniel the keys for my two cars and spent the next several hours with my family away from home, crossing my fingers for a miracle. Upon our return, both vehicles were nothing less than showroom-ready. Every possible nook, cranny, narrow space, and crevice was vacuumed, cleaned, shined, and buffed. The mildew and mold were completely gone, with vents treated and the old odor 100% evicted. Even closed, unlocked places such as ashtrays, coin trays, center consoles, and the interior of the gas-cap doorways were put back to "new" condition. Without a doubt, Xtreme Auto Detail provides the best auto detailing I've ever encountered. Had my Honda detailed at my home and the results were excellent. However, I reached out to the business to hopefully schedule to have it detailed again and I got a response from the business asking if I could drop my vehicle off at their location to have it done. I replied that I would prefer to have it done at my residence or work and never received a response. Not even a "sorry we can't accommodate you at this time". Above Average Prices for Below Average Work! Bought a pre-owned 3 row SUV here for "Interior Detail" which was in Average interior condition given that I had seen disgustingly bad vehicles. They seem like good guys, but their work does not live up to its name. There is NOTHING Xtreme about the detail I got here. In fact for me calling it a "Detail" is questionable. I spent around $200 and even tipped on top of it when I picked up my car around dusk and next day I can see the work in daylight and I'm not happy. I choose to go here based on ALL the positive reviews however it seems they get a lot of people who are 1st owners true luxury vehicles that may cost upwards of $50,000 and are pretty well maintained and clean to begin with; so it does not take much to look them shiny and new again which seems to be most (if not all) of their customers. May be these are the people giving great 5 star reviews we all try to be extra nice it makes us feel good so take it with a grain of salt. They have all the tools which is why I wanted to get my car done here but not sure they utilize them too its full potential. If your car needs a thorough detail this is not the place in my humble opinion and here are some of my reasons (also see PICs attached of post Detail work): 1. Leather was cleaned and looks OK but there were areas missed and it still feels dry. 2. Interior was cleaned and looks OK but there were areas missed and I'm not sure it was shined properly if at all. In fact I'm not sure if the windows were wiped, as the Glue from the old registration is still there, how could they miss that? 3. There was pet hair in the carpets and it is a little bit less after their work but it is still there. I had instructed that this is the most important thing to fix for me and that there is Pet Odor coming probably from the trunk area where there was a lot of hair but even then they DID NOT Shampoo the trunk area at all and only after me asking for it when going to pick it up was it addressed. I'm not satisfied with the work because some Pet Hair is still and there is enough evidence of a job not done thoroughly. Also, mainly because the Pet Odor has NOT reduced at all (even though I didn't ask for odor removal) and it should have reduced noticeably given that ALL the carpets were to be shampooed and the headliner was supposed to be steamed. I don't know how good a carpet hot water extraction shampoo job was done because some of the carpet stains are there, especially the Mats (even though I'm going to replace the Mats, its evidence of a poor job). I believe if there is smoke then there is fire; in other words if there is more than enough evidence of a sloppy job then the job was sloppy. I got a sloppy job and am NOT happy that I just threw away $200 bucks. read more

I have had this place do all of my personal and business fleet vehicles. For the most part their work is great . The problem lies with the owner Daniel . I had paid him to do a large job. He did not complete the job. He still however requested payment in full and said "I'll take care of it when the vehicle returns ". Normally I would NEVER pay for a service or goods until the job is completed. I trusted this company to make good on their promise. They did not . The problem was I requested 2 separate times to have them finish the job I paid for . The owner Daniels Response was "sorry I'm slammed with pre booked jobs ". I replied with "well my job was pre booked and pre paid". The owner then spent time to dig up a random text communication from a prior conversation and began a text battle with me the customer. No thanks . I will never use or ever recommend this company to Anyone needing detailing in Austin Texas , Lakeway Texas or Steiner Ranch area. I have a 1967 Camaro RS. Show quality. I'm an absolute helicopter mom when it comes to my car! It took me a year to even enter her in a show because I am terrified of people touching her! I looked around and called a few places. No one made me feel comfortable. My husband found Daniel for me and I gave him a call. He did not brag, but he was very comforting and had an enormous amount of experience with special cars. People trust him and for good reason! He came to my house. He did not try to over sell me or overwhelm me with all of the types of waxes, sealants, etc. I had told him that my car rarely goes out, and that I just needed her show ready. She also has a fully chrome engine. So she shows "hood up." He allowed me to move my own car in and out of the garage without stating the obvious.... he can drive a hot rod! My gender never came up. He and his coworker were so professional, friendly, and fun!
