Overall good experience working with them to get my crossovers interior detailed. The specific package I got was the Gold Interior Detail. The price for their work wasn't bad at all, but it did take them almost all day to clean my cars interior. While I can understand it was a detailing job and will take a bit more time to get through all of the cars interior, and my car was a mess due to my babies throwing stuff around, there was still a few spots I noticed that didn't get cleaned. It's nothing to throw a big rage about but it is confusing/upsetting as to why they didn't get some of these areas considering how great everything else came out and the amount of time it took them to clean it as well. I don't think those mistakes are an overall reflection of the quality of their work and would still recommend them to anyone looking to get their cars interior detailed, and can also say I do plan on using their services again in the future for an exterior detailing job. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE! Check out the pictures of their work (matte paint protection film) on my Tesla below. I paid almost 6 grand for the job + a week worth of car rental. You literally can't find one panel on the car that doesn't have some kind of debris, small rock or hair under the wrap. There's multiple gaps where the shiny part of the paint shows.Brought it back to meet the owner went over the job. He keep saying this is is not gonna be noticeable after 10 days. He kept saying he's trying to work with me but he's can't answer if he's gonna take everything off and redo it with no debris. He explicitly told me it's IMPOSSIBLE for his shop to wrap it without any kind of dirt/debris stuck between the wrap and the car. After an extensive email and phone conversation i drove my vehicle 40 minutes to get the windows tinted here. I had verified my vehicle type and pricing multiple times at this point. The "manager" rushed up to me just before they were going to take my vehicle into the bay and told me that my front windows were technically 2 windows each and the job would cost an additional $200. They absolutely refused to honor the discussed pricing. I eventually got my front windows tinted at sunbusters at a much lower pruce. Sunbusters also only charged me for 1 window on each side. Unless you absolutely can't live without autobahn/huper optic or just love paying as much as possible for a service, you should definitely not get your windows tinted here. From reading other reviews this bait and switch pricing appears to be a tactic they employ often. read more

I called the office at 12:30 and they told me that there was not even an appointment for my car, although it was with them. I had to cancel all my clients this morning because I can't work without a car. As a result, I lost money. Went to their office and picked up the car. This is very unprofessional. The headliner in my VW was starting to look pretty sad, dropping down in multiple areas and almost sitting atop my head when I drove. Their staff and the owner is extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. Their shops are clean and organized and they work on all types of cars. Regular every day Hondas to an M6 BMW to pick up trucks and old school muscle cars. One the most common problems of the 2005-2009 generation of Ford Mustangs are the interior door panel and the leather peeling off from the foam backing. This happens over time and heat. I live in Texas and Florida - doesn't get much hotter than that. There are many DIY that you can find, but the reviews and effects after are very 50-50 and in 105 degree weather, I didn't want to be outside for hours trying to do it myself. So I found these guys. At first, this was all I was going to get done. But I asked about them installing a new steering wheel (never thought to condition the original leather steering wheel and I paid for it). The owner offered to throw it in there without paying much for the labor since I was already paying for the door panels. So he was saving me money, time, and another trip. Sounded awesome to me! Even though the DIY was less than $20, I went with this business for $75 per door. After seeing the results, I wasn't disappointed. It looked brand new out of factory but it seemed so much more stable. The material is leather, but the backing now felt as sturdy as a plastic insert could be, but much better looking. Honestly my interior is still in fantastic condition, but if I needed anything at all, I would be going back to these guys, even though they're an hour from me. They are well worth it, as is the price of the job. read more

Had my wife's G37 detailed on the inside along with the leather seats dyed because of some wear from getting in and out of the car. Came out better than expected once I realized they dye the whole seats, not just the worn spots. Clayton did a great job explaining the process. My 1966 Chevrolet Impala is my treasure, and when I chose Austin Auto Interior to replace my door panels and rear panels I couldn't have been more pleased. My 1966 is all original and was able to locate all new panels for the front and back. When I brought all the parts in we examined everything and went over every piece and panel. Fortunately, it was noticed that the after market parts were put together with some defects. It took many weeks to get them after determining the proper blue interior (there are no less than 3 shades) So the technicians were able to build perfect panels using parts and trim from both--so it came out looking just like the oem panels. Just an awesome job! In addition being a 46 year old car with an exceptionally nice paint, they were able to keep my 1966 inside and wiped the dust off while it was there. Took my car in for Ozone treatment, check in was fine and quick, check out was just okay and I say that because I had to call to see if my car was ready and the person seemed too busy to talk about window tint for a different car we have. The treatment took the mildew smell out of my car which is great. But I got my car back with less gas in it then I left, the eco mode was turned off of my car and I found a white scuff on the front left part of my bumper that wasn't there when I left it. Just a heads up for the future let someone know if their car needs a full tank of gas before they drop it so that way when they pick it up it's not on E, and maybe have who ever is checking out a client walk outside to verify car is to customers satisfaction and the vehicle is as it was when it was dropped off instead of just having them sign the paperwork and pay then point to where the car is. read more

Just got my truck back from this shop and I was pleasantly surprised with the work done on my vehicle. The owner takes extreme pride on how is business is ran and work done on each car brought to him. I was quoted a semi fair (but competitive) price with a range attached to the work. Upon completion like any other shop the actual price was slanted to the absolute high number of the quote but al in and all I was happy with the work that was performed on my truck and wouldn't hesitate to get other work done at this shop. UPDATE: Drove my truck around for a full day and started to see alot of little imperfections on the job they performed. Already had to take my truck back so they could install my speaker box correctly. A couple of hours later i see two more things they didn't put back together right. Plus they installed seat covers and didn't even clean or prep them for me. Very disappointing. read more

Great staff ! Great Owner! . The stars given were due to cost involved not service or quality.. I liked what was done. However, do not think it was worth cost for what was done. This is just personal opinion. I emphasized only one topic and it was to be careful with not buffing into black plastic exterior. Guess what? Some parts were touched with buffer. Not a lot. But, some parts were. I could tell. But, no big deal as my truck is older and didn't make a big deal about it as I needed my truck and was crunched for time. But, attention to detail is big for me. I think engine job was 5 stars, Exterior was 3.5 stars. I had Interior done as well but didn't pay for full interior service. So, thats fine. For what was done Id give it 4 stars. The owner was friendly. It rained that night so I contacted to see if I could bring it back. I was informed that They dont normally would but offered to rewash. I could not make it back though on day that was offered. So, didn't make it. But, just the offer was great! I would go back. But, do something else.. Regardless, thank you guys! read more

I had my sagging headliner repaired and interior detailing done. The work done was excellent. 4 stars only because communication from their staff was subpar. TL;DR: I did not receive timely information on when the work would be complete after dropping the car off before their business hours, the work took more than one day to complete, and I had to call them to ask about my car a couple of times. I got an immediate quote from them through Yelp. Pricey but comparable to other headliner repair facilities in the Austin/Round Rock area. Someone called and left me a message asking me to get back with them about scheduling the work to be done. I returned the call and scheduled a Thursday morning appointment for the above mentioned work. Come Wednesday morning, I get a phone call from them asking me if I'm coming in this morning. I told them I wanted a Thursday appointment, not a Wednesday appointment. He was able to immediately fix the issue and scheduled me for the next morning. Thursday I drop the car off and leave the key in their drop box (no envelopes available however; I had to fold up a piece of scrap paper I had in my car around my keys to identify them in their drop box). Throughout the entire day I don't hear anything from AI Autoworks. No questions about the car, no notifications on when it would be ready (I was assuming same day), no confirmation of cost, etc.. I realize they close at 5, so I call them at 4 to see what the status of the car is. The staff member I spoke to put me on hold for ~2 minutes to see what the progress on my car was. He finally got back online and said something like "the headliner was just finishing up but... well... do you need it today?" I was hoping to pick it up that evening, but had a snafu with planning a pickup ride, so I told them tomorrow would be fine, and to call me when it was completed. The next day (Friday) I made plans to go pick up the car during my lunch hour. By 11:30am I still hadn't heard from them, so I gave them a second call. I was then told the car was good to go. So overall, they do fine work... but you might have to prod them a bit for details on when your appointment is going to be and when your car might be available to pick up. read more

I truly wanted to give this place a full on 5 star review. The interior of my vehicle looked AWESOME when I picked it up. The guy who checked the car in and out, was professional, courteous, and friendly. Unfortunately, there were a number of other problems that just can't be overlooked. As much as the direction was to keep the windows open a little during the night and next day, I did, but the interior must have been so wet that it was not sufficient. The 2nd night home,, I closed the windows, not realizing the interior was still damp. The next day, the windows were all covered in a hazy sheath of condensation. At that point, I could see how streaky the previous wiping job was, but honestly, you couldn't see it prior to that. I thought it would simply wipe away with a nice micro-fiber cloth. Nope, it was some sort of greasy residue. I wiped and wiped, and had to drive with the hazard in my view for the rest of the day. Gah! Additionally, something about the cleaners they use caused the inspection sticker to begin to peel off the window, like peeling a layer off an onion. I'm hoping it can be salvaged, I don't want to have to also pay for a new inspection! Time will tell if the main reason I brought the vehicle in for detailing was truly resolved..... As much as I'm only giving 2 stars, I wouldn't count these guys out....stuff happens! read more

I took a car w/ over 200k miles on it to get an interior detail done and was very impressed. I've never seen such a thorough job done, and that's probably why it took ~5hours. Leather was treated, every plastic surface was wiped down, EVERYTHING was removed from console/glovebox/etc to clean every last bit. The carpet/mats were as clean as new (except the horrible driver's mat, but it looked better than I could have ever done). I have a few upholstery jobs on my project car to be done and am now pretty confident they can execute those very well. Everyone I talked to was very professional and I'm confident that they would do whatever it takes to satisfy their customers since they seem to take a lot of pride in their work (ie. they didn't half-ass the job even on my old and busted car). read more

Is it possible to have a car too clean to drive? That's the question I had to answer when I picked my 2007 CRV earlier today. I like to think I keep my car clean, but after 10 years of just vacuuming and going through the car wash maybe a few times a year, my wife decided my car needed to be detailed, and got me a gift certificate for the full mean deal at Austin Interiors. I dropped my car off at 9am this morning and picked it up at 4:30pm. I don't know what all they did to it but the damn thing shines brightly from every smooth surface. The folks at Austin Auto interiors are friendly helpful and eager to earn your business. I did some shopping around for estimates on repairing my sun visors, and seats. Of the 3 shops I went to, this was the only one that gave me a real written estimate. So already I like them. Leather Menders (which came highly recommended by a friend) actually gave me my estimate hand written on a business card. The other thing was that Austin Auto Interiors estimate beat all of the competition I went to out of the gate. So I can tell you that shopping around is not needed. I had them do my visors first. When I got them back the first time, there must have been some kind of communication mix up because they did not seem to look right. But this is where their customer service earned them my deepest respect. Without batting an eye they offered to redo them to make sure that I would get what I originally envisioned the redone visors to look like. They took them back, we discussed what the issues were and in a couple days the visors were back and they look absolutely spectacular. With their commitment to customer service and ensuring that I got exactly what I wanted, they will be getting all of my business going forward. I found this place from Groupon and got the Interior Detail Service. They were great about scheduling me at a convenient time and were really accommodating with drop-off and pick-up times. The quality of their work was AMAZING! I asked that they pay particular attention to one section of the car that had a spill. While they did spend time there, they gave the same level of attention to the rest of the car too. All of my personal belongings were neatly placed into bags and put in the trunk. This is a great shop, hands-down. I had them do an exterior detail + clay bar treatment on a classic car that'd been languishing in the sun for years. The paint was all dull, but they were able to bring it back to shiny and smooth. Definitely recommend them for work in the future. They did a great job on my car! I think they found every single food crumb and dog hair. Though expensive on a tight budget, I wish I would have done this sooner instead of trying to get car washes to meet my expectations. Everyone there was friendly, but I was disappointed that the check-out was not more customer friendly. It was a very hot day, the car had been parked in full sun, and the leather seats could not be sat on. I would like to have had the car brought to me instead of my having to get it from the next building parking lot, with paper on the driver's seat so I could sit down without burning myself, and all the mats should have been reinstalled for me. The excuse that most customers want to see that the carpets under the mats are clean was offensively lame. Again, it was a very hot day, and that may have affected attitudes. read more

So...back in May, I left my black car to be fully detailed with Austin Interiors early morning and they called me mid afternoon to let me know my car was ready. Upon picking up my car, I was immediately impressed! Not only was it beautiful, it was immaculate! Inside AND out. The interior detail work was excellent as was the exterior. They even polished out some surface scratches from the driver's door handle. Those scratches made me sad each time I got into the car. Especially since the scratches got there while in the hands of the dealership. Anyway, checking my car in and out was a breeze and the customer service was exceptional! The team here was quick to identify what they could do to fix my carpet and upholstery, did the work instantly and did it well.
