Our prize front yard tree appeared to have a significant dead area. We called AustinTree Surgeons and we were advised to try an injection at the base of the tree. The apparently dead areas came to life and we were delighted with the skill and service that we received. read more

I had these folks out to a rental property of mine in Pemberton Heights. When compared to the 3 other quotes I got from competing tree trimmers, they were well under Davey's and competitive with the other two. I decided to go with them because the owner seemed down to earth and I had heard good things about them from a couple of people I know. They removed 4 large 12-24" diameter trees, cleared up a huge chevy tahoe-sized pile of brush, and did some routine trimming on the house. Needless to say, it was a couple of day job. I was out of the state while they were working on the house, but according to the tenant they did a good job throughout the process. Since its been a month or two since they were at the house, I would say the collateral damage from this many large trees coming down was quite minimal. Overall, nothing much was damaged. Overall, this company passed muster. Ill probably be having them out to do my primary residence later in the year. read more

I contacted Austin Tree Surgeons on a Sunday via their website. The next day (Monday), their arborist Jaclyn paid me a visit to estimate the job. They had a customer cancellation and were able to get a crew out to me on Tuesday. Quick service! Service performed by Miguel and crew in mid January 2015. I have 11 mature Live Oaks; it was a large job involving limb removal, eliminating deadweight and lifting branches off of the roof. Also, I had a Chinese Pistache tree planted by the same crew. They took about 4 hours and were extremely thorough, even blowing the detritus off of the roof, patio and deck. The crew had a great attitude and were there to answer whatever questions or concerns I had. The invoice was generated and paid through their website. Very quick and smooth. I was immensely impressed with their body of work and I heartily recommend them as arborists / tree trimming specialists in the Austin area! read more

My second time using Austin Tree Surgeons and I really will never go anywhere else for trimming/removal. They responded to my inquiry quickly, sent someone out the next day to take a look before quoting, and I received the quote immediately after. I approved the quote a few days later and received an email saying they'd be out to take care of everything at some point that week. A few hours later, they were already at my house trimming my front Oak and removing a tree on the side of my house. They did beautifully clean work and the ground was spotless when I got home. They finished in just about an hour. Could not recommend them enough. Stellar job and I look forward to working with them again soon! read more

I had a 2 story bur oak tree removed, two trees trimmed back from the roof line, a very large live oak cleaned of small dead branches and vines, a large agave removed that had bloomed and a large brush pile removed. The crew of 6 did a great job of getting the work done and cleaned up after all the cuttings and sawdust. The process was well done too, simple online invoicing process and payment options, all secured with paypal. Very impressed and would have them do any future work I might need! read more

I had an oak tree in my front yard that suffered some damage after the freeze in February, but that still had some green to it, so I wanted to try to save it. One of their arborists came by, gave me a free estimate the same day, and got me on the schedule the following week. They trimmed it and gave it an antifungal infusion in hopes to try to save the tree. They were cheaper than some of the other landscape companies (that didn't have an arborist) that I had to come bid out the work, and they were much more prompt than the other arborists who I spoke with, who couldn't even come look until January. Great experience. read more

Had a range of tree car services our property needed. In addition to being quick and responsive they were willing to itemize the invoice they provided and were fine with only working on some of the services (there were some trees we'll need to remove, but right now just trimming back what is a safety concern). Of three estimates theirs was the cheapest. The crew was fast, friendly, and did a great job! read more

Austin Tree Surgeons did a great job on the tree removal and trimming. They also were outstanding in the clean-up. I'd be happy to call them again for service. read more

Excellent tree trimming services. I've used them for several years now and each time they do an amazing job. They clean up everything and will trim your tree like an artist! read more

The back office staff with Austin Tree Surgeons were the most unhelpful and rudest individuals I've worked with to date. When provided with an estimate, I simply asked for a breakout by tree (e.g. more detail) and not only were they unable to provide but they also declined our business. Any organization in the service industry should be able to provide details on an estimate and manage a certain level of respect for customers. We've used them in the past with no issues so there may have been a staffing change but needless to say, they lost a lot of future business. read more

Mark has been helpful in treating my trees. I found him to be nice and courteous when talking to me to make sure I understood everything.

We had some large palms removed at our house and the team did an excellent job. Job site was spotless when completed. Great work.

We are buying some property in Driftwood and I was really worried about the health of some of the trees hearing about all of the oak wilt going around. I sent them pictures of the trees and they were able to send an arborist out the next day to check them out. She was very informed and inspected my trees and told me they were in great health! (We were a little skeptical that they may prescribe a costly treatment). She gave me tips for caring for them and the inspection fee could go towards work we need(ed) done. Will definitely be using them again when we need help pruning and deadwood removed as well as other tree-service needs. read more

The arborist seemed rushed, after canceling with a few hours notice the day prior. Total time spent onsite was ~20 minutes. Decided not to move forward based on high level recommendations, not the detail I was expecting. read more

Austin Tree Surgeons did a great job for us. Trimming two large oaks that has not been cared for in years. They removed nearly all the ball moss on the trees. The crew worked hard for a full day and loaded a trailer 6 ft high, 6 ft wide and 12 feet long with trimmings. They left the yard spotless. For my money, a great value! read more

Great job and fast response. They came out gave us an estimate and recommendations that helped us understand a little more about the trees we had near our pond. Will definitely use them again! read more

The price was amazing compared to the 2 other bids we got. We were even thinkig of delaying the tree removal based on budget until Austin Tree Surgeons saved the day. The customer service and quality of work was outstanding!!! We will definitely be using this crew again, and you should too! read more

I just had my first experience with Austin Tree Surgeons and it was absolutely excellent. They responded to a request for quote on the same day with a quote from a certified arborist, emailed me a typed and very detailed description of the work to be performed, and quoted me a price that was squarely in the middle of the 3 quotes I received and seemed quite fair (the other lower quote was not from a certified arborist and was hand written on the spot on a form without letterhead so there was a lot more room for misunderstanding, lack of insurance and tool sanitation, etc.). This was a general cleanup of 12 oaks plus some smaller trees. They scheduled the work for later the same week, the crew walked the yard with me with good communication skills as I went back over everything, and then roped into the trees and started work. Every sizable pruning was roped down to the ground, after every tree I just viewed it and said "perfect". There was not another comment or discussion needed all day except to say "great job, thanks." I am sure all jobs can't go this well, but this is my new company and I strongly recommend them. read more

The initial contact was fine, but the crew that arrived did not do a thorough job. I went outside before they left and saw inadequate pruning of my fruit trees, less pruning of my Spanish oak than I wanted. The arborist came back and asked the crew to return to finish the job today. However, I was upset that a pear tree in the side yard was not pruned as well. The arborist said that was not written in the contract. The crew could do that in 15 minutes when they come this afternoon but no compromise was offered. I would happily have paid an extra $50 to have the job finished to my satisfaction, but that was not offered and I did not have time to negotiate because I had a Zoom meeting to join. I will not use the company again after this experience. What they did was adequate but less than the professional job I was paying for. Therefore an average rating. It was a big job. read more

Austin Tree Surgeons came out and trimmed up our large oak tree a few weeks ago. We received a quick, and free!, estimate and were able to schedule the work within days. Brad was super friendly and very responsive. The crew arrived promptly at 8:00 am the day of the job and were finished and had everything cleaned up by early afternoon. We had no idea when the tree had last been pruned. At least since we bought the house - over five years ago! It was in sad shape. The Austin Tree Surgeons' crew did a great job and our oak looks as beautiful as ever. We'll definitely use Austin Tree Surgeons in the future for any of our other tree related needs! read more

Fantastic job. Right on time. Trees look great. Super fast. And they charged even less than their very reasonable estimate.

Excellent service - a quick & competitive quote, and very well done tree removal.

We had a big job, but tree surgeons schedules us quickly. When I had concerns the crew the day-of didn't include an arborist, they sent an arborist by immediately. The crew worked so hard allllll day and cleaned up the mountain of branches they trimmed all over our property really well, including covering then skimming the pool. When a falling branch hit and broke a piece of our pool equipment, they brought it to my attention and didn't try to claim it was already like that. Then the office reimbursed the cost of the minor repair (by our chosen pool company) very fast, no questions asked. Accidents happen, but service like that is priceless. read more

I used them recently for the first time to have two 20 foot oak trees in my front yard trimmed and have the health of one assessed. I was very impressed. I found them via an online search. It was quick to fill out their online service request form and I was contacted by phone the same day about my trees. They then had a rep out to my home the next day. She gave me a fair quote on the trimming and provided some advice on the stressed tree. I followed her recommendation and had great results. If something more serious was going on she gave me a referral to a tree disease specialist just in case I didn't see improvement. I didn't need to use it thankfully, but it was nice to have that referral regardless. The Austin Tree Surgeons crew was able to come to my home the following day. The clean up was immaculate and, most importantly, the trees looked great. My neighbor agreed because he hired them as well. We now have the best looking trees on the block. Thanks for the great service! read more

I have been using Austin Tree Surgeons for years every time i need work done. They come quickly and do great work for a price that beats other companies. When they leave, you can't even tell they were there except for some sawdust on the ground. read more

We finally bought our dream home but not without having a ton of work to do in the backyard. At first we thought we could handle it but the trees were another story. I called the tree surgeon after speaking to another tree company. Their rates were comparable but they were able to see me in a more timely manner. I would definitely recommend this company for a job well done. read more

The process from start to finish was super easy. I did everything online to get a quote and they responded the same day. They came out and did an estimate and sent it to me and called to review it. Their price was better than others. The crews came out and removed a dying tree and when I came home that afternoon it didn't even look like there was work done...minus the 40' tree. I would recommend this company for any service they provide. read more

Just used Austin Tree Surgeons for the second time to trim up a dozen oak trees on our lot. They also removed a large branch from one of the trees that was hanging down too low. The price was reasonable and the service was timely and great. Other than our trees looking much better, it was hard to find any evidence that the crew had been there. read more

They did a fabulous job and continued to work on making sure we were satisfied with our yard. We will definitely use them again.

The guys with Austin Tree Surgeons did an awesome job pruning several of our very large oak trees. They were prompt, courteous and very hard working. Can't say enough great things about the job they did and how they cleaned up all of the brush and leaves. Very good value for the effort they put into the job. read more

This is second time using Austin Tree Surgeons. I love that they start every job by sending out a registered tree arborist and give you a quote before ever starting any job. What makes them a great company is that I asked about getting my Live Oaks trimmed up at the same time as the work being done on my non Oak tree. The arborist told me they didn't want to do that at this time because of the time of year and didn't want to expose my trees to Oak Wilt. Any other tree company would have seen dollar signs and just done it. The arborists are very knowledgable. I wanted a lot of a certain tree cut down and they made me aware that you should never cut more than 25% of a tree down at a time or it can send it into shock. Again any other tree company probably wouldn't have adhered to this standard and would have cut as much of the tree down as I wanted. Glad that I kept my tree healthy. My appointment did get pushed due to weather but understandably so for the safety of their employees. It was immediately rescheduled. The crew showed up and did exactly what the arborist and I had discussed. I could not be more happy with the work they did. They worked fast, efficient and left my yard clean of any debris. I will use them again to get my Oak trees trimmed when the time it right. read more

I am very pleased with the pruning done on my three young live oak trees when I was out of town. Upon returning home the trees looked great and my front and back yard was very clean with no debris left behind. I thought that I would have to remove one young live oak tree due to its location and possible structural damage it would cause as it matured. I was reassured by Certified Arborist, Jaclyn Smith, after she reviewed the situation, that the tree's growth should not present further problems. I was very impressed with her knowledge of oak trees and she answered all my questions in a professional and clear manner. I would highly recommend Austin Tree Surgeons! read more

Nice job on six trees with age ranges from 15-150 yrs. The team was quick and detailed on small and large trees and the price was right. I've used this company three previous times and will use in the future. Thanks again. read more

I totally recommend Austin Tree Surgeons! They do excellent work and have kind, fair and prompt service. Their arborist's are very skilled and I felt like they took very good care of my trees. They will definitely be my first call when I need any tree service in the future. read more

Austin Tree Surgeon was fast, trustworthy and great customer service! We just moved into our newly build home. The builder only removed the trees needed to build our house, totally neglected the existing trees. The existing trees were a mess! As you know trees add value to your property so the little trees we were left with needed nuturing asap! before they died from all the stress. There were tons of moss balls and dead branches. They looked horrible. So I called Austin Tree Surgeon... WOW! I now have beautiful and HEALTHY trees! Thank you so much!!! read more

I called Austin Tree Surgeons because the owner is a certified arborist, and I wanted to avoid tree butchers. When our house was built, a very old, large cedar was left, although the construction damaged many major roots. Combined with the drought, the tree looked like it was on its last legs. I was ready to concede defeat and have it taken out, but Brad assured me it just needed some pruning! The price was terrific. The crew were all upbeat and talented, and they followed the plan to the T - no nasty surprises after the fact. They left the site immaculate, and the tree looks better every day. I couldn't be happier, and will be a steady customer whenever the need for tree work arises. read more

This company is outstanding. The estimator (Brad) is professional, thorough and his follow-up is excellent. They sent a crew in no time and the work was performed quickly and professionally. They had a lot of work to do in my backyard but they were finished in a few hours and the debris was removed 100%. This is the second time I have used this company and I will continue to use and recommend them. read more

All to often, one gets feedback which is negative and the positive feedback goes by the way side. From the beginning of this process right through to Javier and his crew arriving on Friday morning, our experience with Austin Tree Surgeons has been wonderful. My husband and I went through the process of getting several quotes for the work that needed to be done on our home. We had the quote done on a Thursday morning and the crew had the work completed by the following Friday. What really stood out for us was the professionalism, competency and efficiency displayed by Austin Tree Surgeons. Our arborist, Jessica was thorough, courteous and professional. She took the time to answer my questions and help me understand what was needed vs. what work could wait for a while before it needed to be attended to. She was patient with my questions and her professionalism really made such a good impression. The prices quoted was very reasonable and comparable. Javier and his crew were just plain good. Javier took the time to clarify with me throughout, the work and checked back with me, throughout the process. The clean-up job was exceptional. Really, my husband and I were very impressed. We will be using Austin Tree Surgeons again, in the future, for all of our arborist needs. read more

I emailed a request for an estimate on the Wednesday morning. Received an email acknowledgement from a person within a few hours. Received a call Wednesday afternoon from the arborist who had been out to my house and was provided with an estimate and a date when the work could be done (next day). Work was done the next day, and an excellent job it was. The trees were pruned back nicely, the cuts were properly sealed, the yard was cleaned. A job very well done and worth 5 stars! read more
