Came here for Sandy the Singing Bowl lady who was doing a sound bath. This was amazing. The location is tucked away but ample parking. Once inside easy layout and they provide lockers with keys for your belongings. The session was in the Himalayan salt room and there were chairs set up for participants. The chairs did lie back so you could feel weightless during the session. There were six of us for the session and Sandy was great. She gave a great overview of what would happen and got started. The only downside was the person next to me was breathing heavy, got up and left the room and kept drinking water which interrupted the full experience of the meditative state. Right when I'd be fully relaxed, they would make some noice se and pull me out. So he aware you may not have a fully immersed experience due to other peeps. I would love to do an individual session however she closed her studio. So I'll keep hunting. Once the session was done, you can see the salt on your clothes - I was wearing black and had a light dusting on - easily wipe away and go about your day. read more

I absolutely adore salt therapy and was so happy to find out that this location moved to South Austin. Apparently about a year ago, but I totally missed it. For those with sinus/allergy issues it is extremely effective. I've been to several of these across the country. Let me start by saying this is a beautiful and extremely relaxing salt room. The "shooting stars" and calming music really add to the 45 minute experience. I was expecting a little more comfort based on the ones I've been to before and the price. A zero gravity lawn chair and having to pay extra for a blanket was a bit unexpected. It won't deter me from returning, but do wish it was a bit more spa like. read more

I attended a sound bowl event here with The Singing Bowl Lady and first of all, her bowl playing style was so new and I LOVED it. The space at Austin salt cave is so unassuming in a strip mall next to a gym and a Chinese Buffet LOL but once you step into the front doors, you're transported far away from the exterior. They have so many nice gifts and health items with Himalayan salt available for purchase, and many ways to upgrade your experience if you come just for the salt cave. I have chronic sinus issues and in the days since my visit, they have been markedly better. The stuff there gave an overview of the space quietly and concisely to every person who walked in the door for the event, which I really appreciated, because it's not been the case for other events I have attended elsewhere. 100/10 and I will be back! read more

I absolutely adore this salt room! It is spacious and nicely laid out. They have 6 anti-gravity chairs set up in the room but more space to add more chairs if they have enough people booking a session. There is salt on the floor, which feels amazing to walk over. There are salt blocks on the walls. The salt blows in during the session (about 40 minutes for the session). The person working there was very accommodating and helpful when I went and the session itself helped open up my breathing after getting over a cold and having some lingering sinus issues. read more

Salllllllllt.... This is incredible!!! The team there is soooo accommodating! We had a private party with custom cups and everything. This Salt Cave is located at the bottom of an amazing hill. I wish I lived here, I would be walking/ jogging this steep heel all the time. It is located in a shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. There is one salt room to the right when you walk in. There are also tons of crystals and Himalayan Salt that you can also purchase. This is a large business park/building, so there are shared n restrooms you can access once you exit the back of the business. There are lockers and cubbies to store your stuff. It is advised that you don't take electronics in the Salt Room. It will get corroded. The session was very relaxing. The chairs reclined, the salt felt good on your toes, and they customized the music for you. A little Lavender & Eucalyptus towel and nice NeoSoul = Much needed rest and relaxation!!! I purchased a groupon session for 2. We randomly stopped by a late afternoon but ASC was closed so I HIGHLY suggest booking an appointment online as ASC maintains a party for each hour session. We arrived for our session and was given a brief summary on the salt cave, benefits, etc. We were each provided a blanket with a small basket that included a hand towel and scented sprays. The room was chill, dim and super relaxing. I did not feel a noticeable difference in my nasal/body but the experience was something I would definitely do again. Love this place. After a few weeks of regular sessions, i am confident this place has aided in my skin healing enough after having a large open wound on my arm. I'm so glad that my daughter and I visited Austin Salt Cave, she has been suffering with allergies for years now which finally improved after visiting here. The space is so serene and comfortable. The "cave" is dimly lit and plays peaceful spa music so you feel like you're enjoying a spa day while reclining in the lounge chairs. Just 2 45 minute sessions for my daughter helped improve her allergy symptoms. She is sneezing much less and feels better. Although I don't have allergies, I was happy to get some quiet relaxation time to just disconnect. The owner is extremely knowledgable and a pleasure to chat with. I went in with an open mind on a Saturday early afternoon and I must admit I was a bit tense from the traffic. The staff was extremely friendly and the ambiance felt like an ocean sea-side shop. The room is relaxing and the tiles of salt combined with the large salt lamps add to the mood. I reclined back for the 45 minute ride. The machine used to disperse the salt into the air is a bit noisy and detracts but as soon as you settle into a comfy spot, you start to feel your body relaxing and drifting away. I was fully expecting my hair to get crazy frizzy and for my body to feel sticky but there was none of that. There was a slight sediment on my clothes and body but nothing a little shake wouldn't release. Day 1 I felt a little calmer, and I could feel my nasal passages starting to adjust. Day 2 I could breath through both nostrils. I've lived most of my life chronically with one nostril 'out of order' so it was a treat to have them both fully functioning. A few days later my passages were fighting the good fight and I'm still for the most part enjoying the benefits of two working nostrils. I am considering going back once a month, because it not only feels like you get the benefit of relaxing but also improved breathing. I am one of those ppl who have to take Flonase & Zyrtec EVERY DAY. I decided to try out Halotherapy while visiting in Sefona and I noticed a difference immediately. I try to come into the Austin Salt Cave at least 1x a week - I live in Seguin so it's a drive - 1 hr+ - but it's worth it. I notice a big difference in my allergies & sinus stuff. During the 50 min sessions you sit back in comfy reclining lawn chairs and drift off to never land- at least that's my experience. As a plus my skin always feels great afterwards. Brought my husband by the Salt Cave last week. He had been suffering from some cough and chest congestion for a few weeks. He was very skeptical about the Salt Cave, but enjoyed the experience and relaxation after arriving. He noticed a difference in the congestion within 24hours. I came suffering from a cold and bronchitis. I had never tried a salt cave but had heard good things so I gave it a shot. I came in completely stuffed up and came out less congested. Don't waste your time. I bought a Groupon and still not worth the money spent. I bought two sessions and went to use my last session and drove almost AN HOUR to get out there and the business was closed during normal business hours. I called the business and tried to work out a refund and the owner seemed to be unconcerned and told me I needed to contact Groupon and 'good luck' trying to get a refund. (It is a 'family friendly' place, which I don't know what is relaxing about kids playing in the salt room.) Too costly. I'm spending my money on a massage next time or the float pool option at another place. read more
