The Chiropractor Doctors do the whole nine yards to come up with the best possible care that I could ever have imagined. Dr Richardson has been very professional and very very caring. All the staff here is very helpful and really do care about each and every client. They do extensive x rays and imaging to really show my individual problem areas and what the plan will be to treat the problems I am having. With their care I have felt better than I ever have at any other chiropractor offices. I have been to many. This one has gotten me results and I feel great. My hips are aligned and that's important for me as I like to hike a lot. Walking is easier and more fluid. one of my other problems is the tech neck from computer work. I have had great results with that also. My head is more aligned and with their program my shoulders are not rounded like they were. I haven't written a review for Focused on You in quite a while; but nothing has changed. I've seen Dr. G for over 10 years and he has kept me mobile and nearly pain-free! You see, I had a touch of polio when I was little-bitty(in the '50s) and things aren't all that squared up or strong as I might like. Add 35 years of hard-court tennis(25 of those teaching) and I've put a bit of stress on my body. Dr. G has kept me moving freely and I currently enjoy playing Pickleball 4-6x per week! I have been seeing Dr. G for about 4 years now. He has been able to relieve me from decades of back pain. I still see him regularly for maintenance and he's now helping my teenager with a severe case of forward neck thrust. You know, the "too much screen time" condition that almost every high schooler has. It causes so much strain when your head doesn't line up over your body and would result in a lot of future problems if it went untreated. Dr. Gerard with Focused on You is very knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciate that the chiropractic work here is focused on overall health. The special approach and technique used is another reason why I have been going to Dr. G. I really like being adjusted using the Blair technique because I feel this has a lasting effect. Whereas when I got my neck and back "cracked" in the past, it was a temporary relief. Plus using the Blair technique is not as invasive and scary. If you're reading this review in pain looking for a sign to come to Focus on You Chiropractic to see Dr.G; then just do it. I had a pretty hard fall, well, I tripped and flew a bit, hit the back of a truck then kissed the ground. When I first came in I was in quite a bit of pain, couldn't walk for about 2 months, couldn't lift my hands, and even more frightening couldn't swallow! I was on tons of meds, muscle relaxers, Tylenol, you name it, I took it! I was hopeless, no medical doctor could help, all they did was give me more meds to help the pain. So, I took that leap of faith and went for it. I am now back to my active self and on no meds as Dr. G knew I would get to. Can't thank him enough for truly caring about his patients and wanting the best for us. Godsent. On your first visit, Dr.G is so thorough in explaining what's going on with you with the X-rays, and tests he does prior to getting adJusted. I've been a patient since 2022, just going in for maintenance. i came to dr girard back in january of this year with some dizziness/balance issues and have had a history of lower back pain. dr g did a thorough exam with xrays and thermal and nerve scans (non-invasive), with a proposed plan of attack and no pressure to do one thing or the other. as an FYI, dr girard uses a table that you lay face down upon, and there is no twisting of the spine for adjustments. it's a "drop table" that he adjusts for you and your weight. i was referred to dr girard for an upper cervical misalignment, and it's since improved significantly. he gives you "homework" that you can do which will definitely aid in your rehabilitation, as well. in addition, you review your nerve and thermal scans every so often so you can actually *see* the changes on paper. that's super helpful to me, mentally. it's clear that he cares about your general health outside of his clinic - i attended one of his dinner and learn "classes" where he hosted people and discussed basics of chiropractic care and making the right decisions at home/in the office. not sure when these will return in this era but it was an hour well-spent. i hope those in need of a spinal review consider heading his way. it certainly helps that he's also a genuinely nice guy. read more

Dr. G is wonderful! I've been seeing him at the Anderson location for a few months now. I originally went in due to muscle spasms and difficulty moving more than a snail's pace. After a thorough exam and plan, fast forward to now, I feel great! My discs have returned to where they should be and I have zero pain/discomfort/limitations. Dr Gerard has a beautiful office right off MOPAC and Anderson Lane. He and his staff are very friendly and professional. They have a spacious bright entryway unlike many doctors offices. When you walk in, you immediately feel at home. Dr Gerard took his time with the initial consultation and really listened to my concerns. His team made sure I understood everything they were doing and the WHY behind it. He uses a gentle but effective technique that is easier on the joints/ligaments etc. You don't get a violent crack like at most places which puts you at ease. After the adjustment he has a variety of therapeutic tools to use to help hold the adjustment longer. I used a roller massage table and it felt amazing on my back. He was able to get all this done while respecting my time. His check-in process is very efficient and you can even scan a keychain fob to save time. Literally Dr Gerard is my lifesaver! When I went into Focused on You Chiropractic I had never been to a chiropractor before. To be honest I was only going because a mentor of mine basically made the appointment for me. Dr. Gerard took X-rays and a thermal scan. I had a horrible head tilt and my hip popped out. I thought it was my normal. Turns out I was just misaligned. I no longer have a head tilt and my hip does not pop out. Also I used to get headaches a few times a week. I am so thankful for Dr.G! I have had back pain for almost three years and awful posture my entire life. In the past, I was always uncomfortable at the chiropractors who would pop and twist my back. It felt ok, but I never felt like it was actually fixing or addressing the root problems. After seeing my x-rays and doing the initial exam, Dr.G provided me with so much knowledge about how to fix my back pain and posture (without the uncomfortable and sometimes scary pop and twist method!). I love coming 3x a week to see him (I'll be sad when it goes down to two and then one!!). I feel about 50% better already after my 4th visit and doing my stretching and rolling at home. (I love that they suggest an at home care kit also!). I also LOVE their thermal and roller tables :) Great for relaxing! My review is not based on any spinal adjustments made because I didn't get that far. As a single mom, I wanted to use my insurance to take advantage of chiropractic care because I am on a tight budget (will get to this later). I have always had lower back pain and have done chiropractic care off and on. I do believe in the preventative care that chiropractic care provides. The first visit was as expected except they put me in front of a video that explains the benefits of chiropractic care, which is educational for people that have little to no knowledge of how chiro care works. Then I got into a medical robe and waited for the doctor. The clinic has impressive machinery that points out inflammation and other things and then they take you in for X-rays so you feel like you're getting a lot done. It was during the X-rays that I thought to ask about the cost of X-rays. Blue cross blue shield has a certain copay for specialists so I thought I'd be paying this amount but Dr Gerard corrected me. This was my fault for not asking when I set the appt, but the charge was three times my copay, so I was miffed. The second thing that happened is that I scheduled thee follow up for two days later. The day of the appt, I called and said I wasn't sure if I had child care and would not have the copay until the next day so could we reschedule. The receptionist said no problem, this visit is free. And you can bring your children because we have a spot for them. So I don't end up having the kids and when I get in I am asked to sit in a chair, sort of theater style set up, and again I have to listen to another lecture about chiropractic care and it's benefits, which I already heard about in the first visit. He mentioned things, like, if you believe me about that then you would do this... it was just very sales pitchy. So then we go back to the X-ray room and he pulls up my X-rays and shows me what's going on. And it's not great news. I have a paper thin disk in one place and a bone spur and other crap like no curve in my neck. I obviously need work. Then he asks me to sit down and he pulls out these payment plans for 3x a week for 8 weeks, 2x a week for 6 weeks and 1x a week for 6 weeks. (Remember I told you I would get back to this) I am a single mom and have a tight budget. I thought I'd be paying $24.75 a visit because that's my copay and that's all I can do right now. It's not ideal for getting it back, but I feel it's better than nothing. The lowest payment he offered me was $115 every two weeks. They wanted me to sign an agreement for payments instead of just letting me pay my copay as I could. I would love to see a chiropractor 3x a week, but that's not in my budget. So if you have money to spend, maybe try them out. But if you're on a budget, forget about it. read more
