I grew up in a chiropractic family, my dad has been in practice for 45 years and my brother joined his practice 10 years ago. When I moved from home, finding a chiropractor that I could trust and rely on for consistent care has felt stressful, until I found TexStar. Dr Amy and Dr Henry are extremely educated, honest, and have their patients interest top of mind. The entire staff is so kind and welcoming and the office is always clean and organized while keeping appointments timely and efficient. So thankful to be a regular. I would highly encourage anyone and everyone to make an appointment whether you are healing through an injury or looking for regular maintenance to feel your best in everyday life. 10/10 read more

I have had lower back pain for as long as I can remember and tried everything. Finding TexStar was the absolute best thing for me. Dr Amy and the entire staff, Sam, Ana, and RJ truly make it such a welcoming and fun experience. You can tell they care and love what they do. My back has been so much better since coming here especially after using their decompression machine, coolest thing ever. Exceptional personalized care here. read more

I came in for back pain. Loved the decompression machine. It took a lot of pressure off my back.

I have never been to a chiropractor before but I couldn't imagine going anywhere else now! Dr. Amy Ho is so kind, and caring with her approach to helping me with my back. I've been sleeping better, and all my problem areas are disappearing. If you're looking for a kind knowledgeable staff to get the job done, look no further than Dr. Ho and her amazing team. :) read more

Started going here a few months ago after having severe neck & upper shoulders issues. Found these guys on Yelp (derrr), & they're super conveniently located here in South Austin/Sunset Valley right off of Southwest parkway in a strip mall, for lack of a better word. Began with and have been seeing Dr. Roemer - he's the coolest, nicest, & most thorough chiropractor i've ever personally been to (and my started me young on going to the chiropractor when i was 8 or 9 yrs old). From my x-rays, he informed me that i have a bulging disc both in my neck, and in my lower back. While, for the time being, I cannot afford Dr. Roemer's recommended action plans, this is really my health insurance's fault bc they don't approve to pay for usage of this decompression device that i need, which Dr. R told me has been out on the market for 10-15+ years by now, but still isn't approved nor recognized by primary health insurance companies as it's considered/labeled an "advanced treatment." However, there is no alternative, "primary" treatment to use first, or "primarily". Anywhos, thanks to this fun insurance dilemma, i have been coming in 3x a week to have my neck/shoulders/spine manually adjusted by Dr. Roemer. I also have a 10 minute session on the IT-machine, or "the rolly" as the staff call it. Since becoming a regular patient, I have noticed a wonderful impact & improvement in the level of pain experienced daily, as well as in my neck's fluidity of motion and range. The staff here set the highest standard when it comes to consistency and providing a personalized, patient-first mantra. They're extremely kind and knowledgeable, with Bri & Taylor holding down the fort at the front desk and in assisting the doctors. They even go out of their way to individually send me appt reminder texts, and i'm also able to reschedule my appts with them via text! I was just recently informed that Dr. Roemer is soon moving on from TexStar to open his own practice, so they have brought in a replacement doc, Dr. Smith, who is a more tenured chiro with a lot of experience. I've met Dr. Smith a handful of times now, and he's manually adjusted me twice - once being in my appt just now this am - and from these 2 experiences with him alone, im excited for my future treatment & wellness with him! i genuinely didn't think or know it was humanly possible, but Dr. Smith is even more through, strategic, smart, and expert-level in his curated practice of his patients. His unique wisdom translates into his specialized, additional tweaks, stretches, and quick exercises that he does with you during/after his physical adjustment to enhance + elevate your immediate and more long-term, accrued benefits. I cannot shout "TexStar Chiro" from the hill country depths of Texas any louder !!! For any and all of your neck/back/shoulders/spinal/body alignment/body-bones' needs - look nowhere else, & come out on the other side happier n healthier thanks to this special, tight-knit crew! read more

I was very skeptical when informed about the knee-on-trac knee traction machine. I remember saying sure, I'll try it as a courtesy to you all, not a believer........ 11 months later and my knee pain has become so diminished. I am a complete fan and recommend to anyone I know who has the knee limp....you know who you are! In addition, because Dr. Roemer pays attention to the total health of his patients, not just their spine, my husband sought further medical treatment and is getting help that he truly needed, in addition to his chiropractic visits (which are keeping him off of pain meds for his back.) I too would like to give this group TEN STARS. A special shout out as well to the support staff, they are all fantastic. read more

Staff is friendly and respectful. I enjoyed coming in to my appointments. I appreciate the care this practice gives!

Is there a way to give this business 10 stars? I am so thankful my massage therapist told me my spine looked misaligned. I promptly reached out to TexStar about scheduling an appointment due to all the wonderful things I have heard about this chiropractor office. The office was able to fit me in promptly for an evaluation and sent me the paperwork ahead of time. It was a very smooth process to get set up as a new patient. My evaluation with Dr. Tran went really well. He sure knows his stuff! Turns out I have more issues than I thought and I am so grateful to have someone as knowledgeable and honest as Dr. Tran. I've been in rehab and treatment for a few weeks now and the difference has been night and day. I no longer have lower back pain and sleep so much better now. My husband was slightly jealous hearing about my experiences and was able to get started as a new patient as well. We love attending our chiro appointments together! Dr. Tran has healing hands, Brittany in the front office is a scheduling guru, and Ben the therapy tech is just one of the kindest people you will ever meet. We are so happy to be patients at TexStar and look forward to trusting them with all of our chiro needs moving forward. Thank you TexStar for your amazing services, professionalism, and making us feel right at home every time we visit. You truly care about all of your patients! read more

I love coming here. Everyone is friendly and caring. It's like visiting your friends and getting your treatments done. Dr. Tran/ Dr. Henry were able to get me from constant back pain to none right now. I hurt my back twice now and both time they were able to get me back up on my feet within no time. Treatments started with body scan, xrays and questionnaires. This is so that they can monitor your improvement. It's pretty cool. I saw how much my posture changed through each scan. They also send you home with excercises. It is really easy to follow and targeted. It is very easy to make appt. You can call or text. They usually have very flexible schedules. Kim is sweet as pie and super helpful. Everything that you need are done with minimal to no wait time. Facility and equipments are alway clean. There are complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and tea. I usually grab a drink after my treatment because I never finish a cup prior to. The wait time from checking in and getting treatment are always too short. read more

Dr. Henry and Dr. Tran are amazing. They have a great staff committed to giving great service. What makes them different? For starters, you will learn about your spine and general care for your physique. Some chiropractors will crack the back, ease your soreness and keep you balanced but Dr. Henry snd Dr. Tran are super sensitive to the touch and will never force manipulate your back or neck. You get a full exam on the curvature and health of your frame and the assessment is designed to help you over a long period of time. Friendly, fast, and forthcoming TexStar is a place where you leave your pain behind. read more

So happy i found this place. My knee was in horrible pain. I thought i was going to need knee replacement. I had already had my other knee replaced and didnt want to go thru that again. I heard about a cold laser thing at Texstar ., and thought "why not?". I was way sceptical about chiropractic. I have been proven wrong. I lierally limped ino Texstar. Let me say first that there is no magic one visit thing that will work. After 4 visits now, my pain level is half what it was. Im walking my dog again! After a few more visits, Im looking foward to getting pain free or close to pain free , and getting back to being active again. If you are considering visit to Orthopedic, they have one answer for everything. Surgery. Maybe because they make 90 grand on a knee replacement. Try this first. You can thank me later. read more

I can safely say that this clinic is one of the best I've ever visited. The consultation and treatment plan are detailed and specific to what I need. Kim is always cheerful when I walk in, and is willing to deal with my ridiculous schedule as well as my budget issues. Kat and Dr. Henry are both very attentive and explain everything in detail that I can understand. They are always willing to answer my questions! read more

I found TexStar Chiropractic because they were the closest chiropractor to my home when I searched via Google Maps. I feel seriously lucky I live where I live, because I love this staff and am so happy to have stumbled upon them! I'm 24 and I've had chronic, nauseating back pain every day for the last 6 years. I've seen multiple doctors, chiropractors, and specialists between my home state and Austin but each time have heard things like, "Your scans look fine, so I dunno" and "Take this pill once a day, you'll feel better". As happens with people in chronic pain, I've been through depression feeling like nobody would ever believe the pain I felt was real because THEY didn't know what was causing it. On multiple occasions, I've "given up" trying to find relief because the doctors and insurance were causing me way too much stress. I sent an email to the office inquiring about becoming a patient during an especially bad "flare up" of pain. I received a call back from Kim within the hour and she was SO helpful and encouraging. I had an appointment for the very next morning, as it was my soonest availability. (They probably would have seen me sooner if they could have!) Meeting the staff the next day was awesome. As I said, Kim was so kind and made me feel genuinely important, Raeniece was professional and personable as she performed my X-rays, and Cat's knowledge and ability to explain the tools used for treatment to me in a way I could easily understand was very much appreciated. On my return visit, Dr. Henry pulled up my scans to show me some issues he'd seen... Yep! He'd placed little red circles EXACTLY where I feel all of the pain originate and radiate from. I could have cried looking at those circles! He also showed me misaligned bone at the base of my skull, saying "This could potentially cause a lot of headaches". Yep, every day! Something I hadn't yet told him about, he identified himself and fixed that day. This is super cheesy, but TexStar has made me so hopeful for recovery again. I haven't felt that way about my condition in a very long time. I'm extremely excited to continue treatment with Dr. Henry and his staff. All around, 5 stars! Thank you! read more

Dr. Henry and his staff are professional, friendly, and flexible. Dr. Henry is thorough, patient, and invested in his patients getting better. Though it may sound cliche, you really have nothing to lose but your aches and pains. I've been to different chiropractors in the past and I've always had the same results: very brief relief but no long-term improvement. However, since starting with Dr. Henry a few months ago I've made pretty serious strides. Instead of treating the symptom of low back pain, Dr. Henry figured out what was actually causing the problem and worked on treating the root. I've had this problem for about 14 years and for the first time since it began, it is under control and not a constant source of pain and worry. Seeing Dr. Henry was the best decision I've made regarding my health. read more

After years of suffering with a chronic knee injury I found Dr. Tran and Dr. Henry were the only doctors I've worked with who dug deeper to understand the root issues of my chronic injury. I went to them after I found them online, even though I had low expectations after all the doctors Ive encountered over the years that brushed off my knee problems since nothing was torn or broken. However, they were extremely empathetic and examined every part of my posture and how I stand to evaluate where my knee problems were steaming from. I've worked with them for over a month now and I couldn't be happier. I feel stronger and more confident that I'm helping strengthen my knee and improve my posture and core strength which all tie into my knee issues. I would give TexStar a million stars if I could. read more

I started out going to Dr. Henry as a referral from a friend of mine. I had debilitating back issues that had brought me to previously seek help from acupuncturists, back specialists and massage. Nothing was helping me at all!! I was certain that I would not be able to have a normal life from one day to the next without having to deal with my back issues. When I started seeing Dr. Henry, he did my first adjustment ever (which I was petrified of, by the way) and the relief brought tears to my eyes!! It had been so long that I had been dealing with the ongoing pain that I forgot what it could feel like to be pain free!! Dr. Henry was very patient with me and helped to ease my fears. Now, I cannot wait to go and see him!! Kim is also amazing at the front desk. I love her text message reminders of appointments!! read more

After 17 months of trying every possible treatment to treat my back. Injections, pain medications, muscle relaxers, massages... You name it I tried it! I finally decided to go see Dr. Henry and his team. He created a treatment plan for me that has allowed me to see a lot of improvement in my Mobility as well as my over well being. I do a lot of driving, sitting, and standing for work and I'm used to being in pain about 85% of the time. It's been awesome getting reprieve so I can get back to living a normal life. Thanks Dr Henry, Kim, and Cat for all of your help and working with me around my appointment request times! read more

Cannot say enough good things about these doctors and their practice. Quite state of the art ,very friendly and accommodating and utterly professional. Came in a LOT of pain due to an injured nerve. Wish I would have known about them before. ONE cold laser treatment and my pain became bearable. They don't use ,what I consider rough, chiropractic treatments which kept me away from chiropractors for years. Am 90 per cent better after a couple of weeks of treatments! read more

Dr. Henry was referred to me by my old Chiropractor. I'm very glad he did! I like his office staff, techs and Dr. Henry. He has top quality equipment, clean and convent location. I didn't realize how much Chiropractic care contributes to a stronger, healthier body. I started on a multiple day per week program and now seek an adjustment every couple months to stay in alignment. Before surgery....see a chiropractor!!! read more

I'm 60 years old and have had deteriorating discs for at least twenty years - so I've seen a lot of chiropractors. None have impressed me more than Dr. Henry. He's knowledgeable, and cares about his patients very much. He takes the time to explain things and doesn't try to "sell" you more than you need. His adjustments are the best I've had. He's intuitive and skillful and his office, Tex Star Chiropractic,is always a pleasure to visit. He and his friendly and caring staff always make the visit a pleasure. I've been going to the chiropractor since I can remember, it's just been about keeping a healthy check and balance system with my body. I've been going to the same doctor for 15+ years, and just recently decided to branch out and went to TexStar. Dr. Henry was amazing - he gave me more information in one sitting, than I had had in awhile from the chiropractor I've seen since I was a teenager. I was really appreciative of his thoroughness and I felt incredibly comfortable. Definitely go see Dr. Henry! read more

Dr. Henry was able to take me with a same day appointment to help alleviate my vertigo, when my regular chiro was unable to see me, same day. I'd tried the Epley maneuver at home with no success. When I first called, I made Kim very aware of the fact that I was trying to conceive and that I might already be pregnant. I had been rear ended and was in a lot of pain but made it clear that I did not want to do xrays. During my exam, Dr. Tran did the usual, then said that he wouldn't be able to treat me without doing xrays first. I informed him, again, that I was trying to get pregnant and that I might be pregnant. He told me not to worry, low radiation, blah, blah, blah. I caved. I was in so much pain, I was desperate, and he 100% took advantage of that vulnerability. Turns out I was pregnant. What a bunch of low life losers at this place. Now that I'm in physical therapy (real medical treatment) and I'm feeling better, I realize how I was taken advantage of in my time of weakness. Never again, and I recommend against it for you as well. Anyone who does not care about the life of the child growing in a willing mother's womb is a sack of crap. How can you even attempt to talk someone who is pregnant into radiation? read more
