I come to Austin's frequently both alone and with my son and family. This place is a pleasure every single time from the delicious breakfast sandwiches/steamed granola/yogurt bowl to the yummy pastries and amazing coffee/matcha latte etc. Every employee is respectful, kind, and goes above and beyond to make sure every visit is an enjoyable experience. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Atmosphere is great, with an updated farmhouse/modern aesthetic. Local artisans displayed for purchase, and fresh plants abound. Many sandwich options (breakfast and lunch) with Rudi's gluten free bread available. They serve Counter Culture coffee, so it's a full on specialty coffee shop. Multiple in house made syrups, oat and almond milk, and fresh baked goods available. A lot of table space and outlets for work/study. Full of windows and light. read more

Found this place for a work meeting and it was such a great working space, just enough background noise not to be too distracting and you could see so many folks focused on their work. A true gem that Ripon has. Aside from the amazing story behind this coffeeshop, which I do suggest everyone take the time to figure out. The workers, the coffee, and the quality speaks for itself. The space provided by the owners is so lively and spacious. From personal experience as a barista, you can tell the consistency of the coffee from the workers and the grind. The pastries are very tasty and the teas are wonderful. Don't expect a typical coffeeshop or your regular starbucks, expect craftsmanship. read more

Obsessed. Seriously, I live more than a half hour away and yet still find myself here at least three times a week. They make great coffee without pretensions. The interior is warm and welcoming (as I recall from pre-covid days!), but is still a great place to get some work done. New coffee shop in town where the coffee is actually good. Pricey, yes. But for the quality of the coffee beans and roast,​ I would say it is worth it. Plenty​ of space to find a table and work on your laptop/devices (outlets available). The food is great! I got the bacon sandwich. TBH the price of the food was pricy but it was good and convenient​. Wait time was reasonable considering they were just in their first week open and was training a new employee. The music​ playlist is well rounded and easy listening. I love love love this place. We just moved back from a city where there was no shortage of gourmet coffee houses and the transition was ROUGH before Austin's opened. Yes, it's a little pricier than your average Kirkland's Signature-serving place. Yes, it's true - they don't like to mask their coffee with fake sugary syrups. Yes, they're still new and some of the staff are still learning the ropes. Randomly stopped here between work appointments. Was pleasantly surprised that there was a drive thru. I ordered a ham breakfast bagel and the citrus black tea. I was very impressed! The sandwich was perfectly seasoned, toasted and melty. The tea was delicious. Not too sweet, only downside is that the cup was very small and only one size to pick from. I felt like I could of had 3 more. I plan to go again soon when I'm in the area! read more

Based on other reviews I had high hopes. I was disappointed. Overpriced and definitely nothing special about their food/drinks. There was a party of 4 ordering before me, I was patiently waiting without being acknowledged, but soon their order became a conversation. As I continued to wait, again no "hi" or "be right with you" I learned the party of four was family to the cashier. She began to introduce her family to coworkers. Customer service is non existent here. Not sure what happen in the last 3 months but multiple occasions I have went through the drive-thru and received rude attitude. There drive thru takes just as long as inside and shockingly they almost ask if you are inconveniencing their day by stopping there. Maybe they forget it's their job to help customers, and their sandwiches are $10 so adding a tude to it is not the kind of addition I like. read more

The cutest coffee shop in Ripon! First off, the coffee is delicious! Top notch quality and no corners cut, which I appreciate. The pastries are also good. I had the lemon scone and it was delish, and it was a big portion. The decor is adorable. It's modern but also has a school house vibe which was out together with great detail. New in town and wanted to try this coffee shop due to the positive reviews. We finally made it out and first, it's nice it has a drive through. I am giving it two stars because I ordered a cappuccino and for $4.00 it definitely looked like a children's size drink. Ordered a plain hot chocolate for my toddler and that was also $4.00. My husband ordered a mocha and it was a decent size compared to mine; however, sadly was bland. It did not taste like mocha. I sipped on it myself. We love supporting local businesses but we honestly were disappointed with our purchase. Customer service was great though. I like to give my honest review and I know this was our first time... not sure if we would go back but definitely wanted to share our experience. read more

Our usual coffeehouse in Ripon is closed on Sunday. So we ventured over to Austin's to give it a shot. First of all, when you walk in.. are we still in Ripon!? I felt like we were in a SF coffee shop. There was so much to look at, it definitely helped pass the time while waiting for my order. I get tunnel vision when I'm in a rush so I quickly ordered whatever. I was really unprepared. I ordered the "Troublemaker" and the Turkey sandwich. The lemon mayo was delish!!! Both were sooo good. Ive been wanting to try this place FOREVER and i finally did this morning. I only have good things to say! The outside seating area is so cute, its so cute and CLEAN inside(two workers were deep cleaning when i walked in as a matter of fact) the workers were so kind! I didnt get the guys name that helped me but he was helpful in answering my questions... Ok im a coffee freak & drink my coffee black w no sweetener and this is the BEST cold brew ive ever had. Their flash iced brew is perfection!!! My only point dock would be the egg patty they make is a little thick, but other than that im so glad i gave this place a shot. 10/10 in my book! read more

Awful service. I love the atmosphere and the farm house vibes. Unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity of trying the coffee. I waited 30 min for an americano and gave up after asking three times is my coffee almost ready... I just walked out. I'm all about supporting local business,but after 30 min it got really uncomfortable asking if my coffee was ready. I was excited to see it open and was hoping this place was like blue bottle or Philz, in the Bay Area. I guess I'll never know. I'll stick to Starbucks in Ripon smh. Fantastic coffee and vibe. My wife and I went in for their soft opening and really enjoyed the decor inside. Then we tried the coffee - amazing. It's an actual coffee shop that doesn't try to amaze with a million drinks. There was plenty of seating areas and a spot for kids to color and play with a dollhouse. All in all, we had great coffee, fantastic customer service, delicious homemade cookies & felt very comfortable and relaxed hanging out there. I highly recommend to all. P.S. The lattes are delicious, the scones are the best and the atmosphere is lovely. But the wait times are ridiculous and the prices of the sandwiches and kid's items are unreasonable. $9 for an egg, slice of lunch meat and a slice of cheese on a small bagel is more of a resort price. The kid's hot chocolate (milk and cocoa/sugar) was $4. And it's not really kid flavored (Mamas! You know what I mean) However, everyone is very friendly, the lattes are so good and served in real cups and the scones are the best I've ever had. So it's really a toss up of what someone is looking for in a coffee house. I'm thrilled to have such a wonderful place here in Ripon. read more

I quite like the interior of Austin's. Very comfy, lots of room, nice lighting. I also have found the servers to be friendly. However, the prices leave something to be desired. I didn't realize I would have to take out a small loan to get coffee. Over $5 for an iced coffee? Ridiculous. This is making me rethink whether or not I will ever return. Sad, because Ripon needs a nice coffee shop, but not at these prices. read more
