Who would have thought kiddos would be so excited to go to the dentist? Not only are both husband and wife dentist duo so kind and good with the kids, but who can compete with the waiting room?! You've got a TV, activities to play, books, AND iPad stations to play games. Every staff member has been great with the kids. TV's playing movies on the ceiling above the chairs is genius. And a cool toy in the dentist go bag is an added bonus. I think having to pry my kids to leave a dentist office says it loud and clear. read more

I appreciate the doctors here but unfortunately the front desk person seems like hates people with color. Reading the bad reviews about the clinic is mostly about her and treating customer unprofessionally. My first experience with her, I got there an hour early and told her "my kids are on its way with their dad" and she replied "we only have 15 minute grace period" without asking who the patient was and what time is our appointment. Second while waiting at the lobby, this lady would wear a clothes showing off her cleavage in a kids clinic and would stoop down while talking to a male customer just so its more visible, very unprofessional clothing just plainly disgust me. 3rd, its the day for my daughter's appointment at 8am, she's suppose to be sedated and was on NPO since last night. We prepared for this day, took my day off and my daughter losing school hours. Its my daughter's first time getting sedated and of course as a mom I'm anxious for the procedure (but like I mentioned, the front desk dont care anything about this). I called them that I will be there at 0807am (im still on that grace period) because we have to travel 1.15 hrs just to get into the clinic. The lady said we dont have any appointment today. I knew she messed up our schedule because 2 days ago I called them and confirm about the preparation of the procedure and asked to cancel the 2nd appt which is on april 14( Our appt was tbe 11th). I was very frustrated. Usually a good customer service would be " I'm so sorry, let me see what I can do to help" but her, she does not care at all. No sorry or anything and just keep lying that she never talked to anyone the other day or would not even admit that she made mistake with the scheduling. The problem here as well is its family owned, so if you want to complain they will not be able to talk to you because the dentists are busy. They will lose this business for this person's selfish mistake. Will never go back here read more

My kids like this place a little too much. I wish they'd have a little fear when they go to the dentist like when I was a kid. But no. They run to the door, play on the games in the lobby, sprint and climb into the dentist chair, put on the fun sunglasses, and are frankly sad to leave. I have to drag them out. My daughter had a cavity and to this day still talks about the "motorcycle" going into her mouth. They were also able to see my other kid for an emergency pulling last minute, which hasn't scarred them. Kids have it pretty good these days. read more

We had to make an impromptu trip to see Dr Ryu for an emergency visit for my cousin's 4 yr old who bumped his tooth. The whole office was calm and collective the entire visit. Took my 21 month old for his first dentist appt yesterday, assuming that he would be quite resistant to letting the dentist look in his mouth. I needn't have worried, as this practice is clearly very experienced with toddlers! The room was welcoming with lots of toys and no potentially scary dentist chairs/equipment. The dentist and assistant knew exactly how to position my son (while I was still holding him) to have access to his mouth, and while he did cry (to be expected), the exam was thorough and very fast! This place was a blessing. I initially took my 4 year old son to a dentist nearby our house. It had a decent review on Yelp and it was beneficial to be so close to where we live. First their first appointment available for a new patient was 6 weeks away. I wasn't in any hurry so we made the appt. During for this appt it was discovered my son had 3 cavities. She proceeded to tell us that she will need to completely sedate my son to get this taken care of and that he may need 2 crowns but won't know until she goes in and takes a look at it. This was in December 2022 and she said there won't be an available appt for this until April because they will need to schedule an anesthesiologist. In the meantime she said we can apply something on his teeth that will prevent the cavity from worsening but it will turn his teeth black. I was so upset when we left the appointment. I felt like a horrible parent and I did not feel comfortable having my 4 year old son completely sedated. After being up all night and speaking with a friend I decided to get a second opinion. The next morning, my husband also agreed we should get a second opinion. I looked on Yelp for a good review and found this place! I called and they had an appointment available the same day. I called my husband and asked him to take our son to the appointment that day. When I mentioned it was one on manor he replied surprisingly and said his friend just gave him a recommendation to Austin Pearls Pediatric Dentistry. He went and our son saw Dr. Ryu. He said we didn't recommend anything too invasive and recommended we just get the cavities filled and he should be fine with just the laughing gas to help calm him. We were able to make an appointment to get it taken care of the following week. My son did great! He did not need to be fully sedated. He did not need any crowns and he did not need to wait 4 months to get his cavities taken care of. I think when people rate these please places they tend to rate it based on how nice people are. This place has both great people AND great service! Please don't hesitate to make an appointment for your child. They will not try to take an advantage of you as a concerned parent and will give the best recommendation for your child. read more

I've had both of my children have their teeth checked and cleaned here, and our experience has been incredible. They love both Dr. Chang and Dr. Ryu, and we even had a front tooth extraction done on my 3yo daughter with no drama at all! The initial call to setup an appointment was answered politely and the receptionist even went out of her way to text me all the information for each of my children to change their insurance over. Within the next week we had an appointment set up and my son was able to receive his needed treatment right after his initial consultation. Both my children were comfortable and my 4 year old daughter could not be more excited to return. She even got some extra goodies for it being her birthday. Best pediatric dental office I've been to in Austin! It was easy to make an appointment online, and Justine at the front desk was super friendly when we arrived. I was unsure how my son would do, but he loved the waiting area (it's decorated super cute with lots of things for kids to do), and Dr. Kim was so great with him and put him at ease throughout the entire appointment.
