Austin Moving Forward was happy to assist me with my move this last weekend. I have used professional movers before and had a bad experience so I am very cautious when hiring a moving company. I made sure to read my contract very closely and Austin Moving Forward was very upfront and honest about the costs. They sent their salesman to my home and he gave me a quote based on everything I had to move. He told me that the cost of my move would not exceed the quote they gave me and sure enough, I didn't pay a penny more! The movers I had used before gave me a quote and then when they came to deliver my stuff they charged me almost DOUBLE what I was quoted! I was very impressed with the guaranteed quote and how upfront and honest Austin Moving Forward was about how much my move was going to cost. The movers called me the day before (Friday) to confirm the time of the move and showed up on time the next day (Saturday) I had to get everything packed for me and they brought plenty of boxes and tape with them to get the job done. I was also very impressed with the care that was taken to wrap my furniture in blankets and they even put down carpet and pads once everything was packed so they didn't tear up my carpet while taking everything out to the truck. When they got everything to my new house they unloaded the truck and put together and arranged the furniture and even helped me attach my TV to the wall. The only issue I had was with a box of dishes from our kitchen, some of the dishes had been broken. I understand sometimes damage is unavoidable when moving and the movers explained to me how to file a claim for the damage. Because the move was fully insured they told me I would be compensated for the damaged dishes. I was not too worried because they were just regular ol WallMart dishes and could easily be replaced. I was just happy that nothing else was scratched or damaged. Overall I was very happy with their moving service. The fact that my move was exactly what I was quoted made me feel so much more at ease with this company. I would recommend using them. read more

I had to think about this for a while. I finally came to the conclusion that yes... I would build a YELP profile just to write about this company. I have never dealt with a more arrogant, pushy, manipulative business owner. Aviad (not sure about the spelling) might quite possibly be the worst person I have come across in my 5 years in Austin. The people who work for him seem to be genuine hard workers. They just happen to work for a crook. I have done some research into him and its not good. He cheats people out of money and seems to be on the verge of many legal battles. THE BEST PART IS!!! He practically tried to force us to write a review.. Well here it is buddy!!! As for our personal experience... It started out very normal. and it gradually descended into ... well strange and awkward. The owner has a very thick accent and uses it to his advantage to go back and say he told you things he never did. He also tried to buy our review. You cant buy a review. You earn it. You def earned this one. The move itself was behind schedule. We were informed if anything was broken that basically we could file a claim but it would be pointless and purposefully lost in the system. If I could leave a negative review for the owner and a 4-5 for the staff I would. but sadly the owner is a representation of the company. Its a shame. We had a GREAT experience with our recent move with Austin Moving Forward. We did a full pack and move in one day. The initial estimate was that it would take 12 hours, and the timing ended up right on target. Jessica was extremely professional and coordinated everything very well leading up to the move. She called the day before to verify everything, and said the movers would show up between 7 am - 8 am the next morning. Sure enough the movers were right on time, and immediately got to work. I must say that the movers CODY, DILLON, and EDWIN were absolutely excellent and very hardworking. They worked all day to pack our home and then move all of our items to the new home. They were very courteous and considerate of any requests. Really great guys!!! I did a lot of research before choosing Austin Moving Forward. It's possible I might have gotten a cheaper deal...but then you get what you pay for. Not one item was broken during the move, and they placed the boxes in the correct rooms in the new house. They set up beds, etc. There was not any damage that occurred at either home. They really do a great job of wrapping items and taking care of your things! First of all, no one likes moving! It's stressful, it's expensive and it's just generally the last thing I look forward to. This was our 4th move in 3 1/2 yrs. We had used 2 different moving companies with the first 3 moves and just we not happy with much about them. I called Austin Moving Forward, along with several other companies for estimates, and was amazed at the price differences as well as the quality and professionalism of the different people that came. Avi was prompt, professional & explained everything they would & how it would be done. Max and Lori were absolutely AWESOME! Max pretty much kept me calm and confident that all would be handled as I wished. Then, moving day came. Leo and his team (Pablo, Edwardo & William) came and handled everything like pros! They were all very polite and respectful of us as well as our belongings. Everything arrived in the same condition it left! (That never happened with the other companies). I couldn't be more pleased! Will and Jake were absolutely unbelievable. They called 30 minutes prior to their arrival and were right on the money. Very polite and courteous, answered all questions never talking down to me or making me feel dumb for asking. They arrived at 10:00 am and never stopped moving until the job was completed at 3:45 pm. They respected my wishes and treated my belongings as if they were their own. A wonderful moving experience, could not have been better. If all your movers are half as good as these guys your business will grow with Austin. Lets not forget the other half of your outstanding team, Dispatch and customer service. They were very responsive when asked for information and followed up to insure all was as requested. They provided accurate and timely information. One of the most appreciated aspects was that I was not pestered twice a day about committing to use your company, after I requested a quote, as other companies did. I can't rave enough about the moving service we received from Austin moving forward this weekend. I got the best deal in town. Max was more than willing to work on the price and the quote was really what I was charged. Overall my experience was great. Leo and his team were really helpful and answered any questions that we had. They did the job pretty quick I must admit. They are very professional. They wrapped my furniture to make sure it doesn't damage. The paperwork was provided. I offered them a bottle of water since they just finished a move and came to help us out. Overall the team of three knows exactly what they are doing. No scratches or anything on the furniture. Again Excellent service! I would definitely go back to them for my next move.. I had the best moving experience with Austin Moving Forward. They gave the estimate over the phone and set me up. Annie was so sweet to me. Katie called to verify. I really liked that. The day of the move was the best! Leo called to let me know that he was 15 minutes away. I have moved 6 times and no one has ever done that. When Leo got here with Pablo and William, they allayed my fears. We walked through the house and they said, "You are fine. We will take of you." They did just that. After loading quickly, they had me walk through the apartment. They had a good way to match room to room. The unload was so cool! Dillan, Alex and JT were just plain awesome! They showed up on time, handled my belongings with care and hustled during the move. Dillan was great to work with and provided excellent customer service. Alex is quiet as a mouse and strong as an ox. JT looks like he plays football for the Dallas Cowboys and made my furniture look like doll house size furniture in his massive arms. (By the way, thanks for the pic of someone else's yellow Lab dog that was inadvertently left behind. It is now prominently displayed on my bookshelf w/ a smile. Interestingly enough, about a year ago, I wrote down that I wanted a Lab and even picked out its name already. Now I can visualize that happening every time I look at the pic. =) ) And lastly, Max provided excellent customer service during and after the move. Just an all around great experience! From start to finish, this moving company exceeded all my expectations. Jason and Caleb were punctual, professional, and incredibly efficient. They handled all of my belongings with great care, including some fragile and valuable items that I was particularly concerned about. Not a single scratch or issue! Communication was clear throughout the entire process--they confirmed all the details beforehand and even followed up after the move to ensure everything went smoothly. We schedule our move last minute and Angela was very helpful booking my appointment, making sure to mention my requested time, which was honored. My window was 7-8am. William and Roman showed up at 7:30, which was great. I had an issue with the forms I needed to sign and they were very patient while I worked that out. Our move was completed in a reasonable amount of time. I think it's unreasonable for a company to claim no damage, but I think it's equally unreasonable for a consumer to expect no damage. I have used this company twice and both times they were very professional from the first call the to last item off the truck. The first time the owner drove over 100 miles to do a walk through. They kept in touch with me to make sure I had all my questions answered before the move and if I had any doubts about how to wrap or box something they would notify me right away by calling or email. The movers were all very polite and respectful of my belongings. They are very hard workers. And they definitely know how to load a truck. Two of the guys help me move both times. This past Sunday was moving day for my mother-in-law and i couldn't have asked for better guys to take care of it. Avi and Roman were right on time and just the nicest guys. They even got stuck moving everything in a thunderstorm but just kept on going and kept on smiling. My mom-in-law is close to 80 and this move was stressing her out. I am so grateful for these folks. I needed a couple of strong hands to help me load my 650sq ft apartment into a rented haul truck. Jessica made the appointment process a breeze and I had called only 24 hours in advance. The next morning Leo & Cody came out with their own supplies and was able to push everything out in under the 2 hour mark. In addition, they helped break down some of the heavier furniture and made sure to cover and secure all of my fragile items. They even sent someone to my house, the day I called, to give me a personal estimate. During the move, everything went smoothly. All along the way they did what they said they would and listened well and the end result was a great moving experience. They are very good at carefully listening to your many questions. The Austin Moving Forward crew that came out did a great job! The move was quick and simple. They made sure that I was happy with furniture placement and were very careful with my belongings. Not to mention they were friendly. The two men that came out called me before arriving to pick my belongings up. I appreciate their efficiency throughout the process. They were courteous as well. It was raining when they delivered my stuff to the new home, and one of the guys rolled out a matt so that they could wipe their feet before walking on the floor.
