I had a few hours to kill at the Austin Airport and wanted to find some souvenirs. I visited every gift shop at the airport. Austin Mercantile, which opened last year, had the best Texas/Austin souvenirs. The shirts looked higher in quality. They were the only ones that had snow globes (Austin is known for snowglobes).
The selection feels higher-end and more feminine. They had apothecary items, candles, Texas-inspired jewelry, Texas-inspired hair accessories, greeting cards, hats, mugs, apparel for men, women, and kids, stickers, socks, coasters, books, plush toys, and more. There was a sale section.
My pick:
* Stainless steel Austin skyline ornament with bats made by local artisans, $23.95
