They have a great selection of all TX longhorn gear. It's a huge 2 story store with a parking garage behind the building. The woman's selection isn't much and not really affordable with the certain brands they sell. I do wish they had more affordable woman's shirts like they do for men. I really loved coming here, but the prices and lack of my size was a big turn off. This place had a bit of everything, golf shirts, leggings, plushies, cups and tumblers, anything that you could slap a UT logo on they pretty much sell. They had a bunch of employees walking around and working but none if them were readily available to help answer questions I had which was a little upsetting. Honestly, this place seemed more like a big gimmick, of course if you go to campus here then you should totally stop by and get something to support your school. Hook 'em Horns! This is the Official University of Texas store. They have the Longhorn logo plastered on every single thing that you can think of. Since this is all officially licensed NCAA collegiate merchandise, the prices are sky high. They put this little hologram on everything that's 'official.' You're about as far from Aggieland as you're gonna get here. When I went, a lot of the store was sealed off due to remodeling. The most robust section of the UT paraphernalia was the pet stuff. Need a burnt orange leash, collar, water bowl, food bowl and bed for your dog? This is the place. The staff rings a bell loudly every time someone contributes to the Longhorn Foundation. CLANG! The cool thing is that this store is owned by the university, and therefore the tax payers of the State of Texas. read more

Had a blast looking thru this store. It's all items for Texas University and then some. If your a LONG HORNS supporter / lover I'm sure you'll pull away with bags of swag. I really enjoyed how the store teamed up with clothing designer Ralph Lauren's "POLO" and created a Texas orange polo logo shirt for them. NIKE also joined I on the fan front and they have a section of cloths for fans. Me, I grabbed a Texas flag pair of shorts lay around the house. I have lived in Austin almost 5yrs and in that time I had never really explored the Drag or Campus. I came upon the CoOp after a friend was showing us around and said this was a place to see in and of itself (the amount of Longhorn gear in here is mind-blowing...you think you know, but you don't). We explored almost everywhere and I was in awe of all the memorabilia, the kitsch, and UT paraphernalia along with any and every item of clothing imaginable with a longhorn. It really is a sight to behold! I did like that they do carry other things as well, such as music & tech stuff, student bric-a-brac, and non-longhorn adorned tshirts. There is this cool little tshirt corner that has some neat ATX specific tshirts (nice quality cotton) one of which I ended up buying because it has the "Hi How Are You?" Alien (which is one of my fav ATX icons). I was surprised that it was very reasonably priced ($16.99) for being a college store. They also have an outlet center w/furniture on the 2nd flr and what looked to be a box office on the first flr as you walk out the back towards the food trailer park. Definitely worth a look around if you are ever wandering the Drag, if you want a good on-campus tshirt find, or want ANYTHING with a longhorn on it! They will validate parking for the garage behind them, which is a big deal, since parking spots are usually nonexistent in this area. A lot of 3rd party online stores get their product overseas where IP laws are impossible to enforce.. so if you spend $50 on a UT shirt, the quality is not guaranteed to be up to par vs when you go to the UT Co-op. You can also use the Co-OP's official website and just purchase what you need through there. Also.. This is the main location (of five) for the University of Texas Co-Op. Smack dab in the middle of the drag, it is ALWAYS busy and I wouldn't advise going unless you know exactly what you're looking for. They recently moved down a block or so to a new building, making for a bigger store, but still leaving a lot to be desired. They have all the usual over-priced trinkets and paraphernalia that one is guaranteed to find at a college bookstore. In fact, books are demoted to the basement, along with computer goods. The upstairs has an interesting collection of women's and children's clothing, but again, overpriced. Take heart, though. One of the best things about the Co-Op is that even though their prices are way too high, University students get 10% of whatever they spend back at the end of the term. So, if you aren't a UT student---find one and give them your receipt for that $300 suede jacket with bevo stitched on the back. They'll make 30 bucks on the deal... (Note: This was a joke. I do not endorse this activity or any related activity.) Let's see...what else. The Co-Op is not-for-profit. Although they put money aside for re-investment, the organization generally gives a lot of money to UT student organizations. Those underfunded organizations are very grateful! Hint: If you need campus parking and have been circling for 20 minutes, some of the lots at the back of the store are for Co-Op parking. You need a receipt to get free parking, BUT trust me, sometimes it's better to pay $1.50 for a UT pencil than continue searching for a spot on West Campus. Eh. Maybe worth a visit. read more

The Co-op outlet is small and the interior near the entrance sometimes smells a bit weird, but never mind that because you are here for the cheap prices and the discounted goods. Assorted UT gear and souvenirs are available here for much less than at the regular Co-op. Selection varies. It just depends on what is overstocked or leftover from previous seasons. They are a little light on knick knacks. Their strong point is clothing: T-shirts, shorts, collared shirts, track pants, hoodies. I recently bought three adult T-shirts for $25, and a child's T-shirt for $5. read more

This is an awesome place to go for all of your UT gear. I was so impressed with their selections. I was in search of a men's golf polo shirt and hat for my husband. They had so many options ..... easily 75 hats to choose from and tons of different shirt brands and options - Peter Millar, Vineyard Vines, Nike, etc. They also had a great ladies and kids section with plenty of in-branded options which were just in the team colors. This is potentially my favorite place in Austin. In fact we came here 3 times in 2 days and spent probably a total of 4 hours here. I came to visit Austin with two other girls from NYC and we absolutely fell in love with the UT spirit! All three of us went to school at NYU where our football team has been undefeated since 1942 (aka we haven't had one since then) and our mascot is a purple flower (violets). One of the girls I was with was also a cheerleader in high school and I guess you can say we went a LITTLE craycray with our UT/Longhorns/Burnt Orange love. Upon entering the store, everything is legit the color of burnt orange. You can find enough things to furnish a house (beds, chairs, socks, wreaths, etc.) My friend and I each picked up 3 things while there (nike running shorts, cheer shorts, and off the shoulder shirt for me; cheer shorts, tshirt, and sweat pants for her). We were also lucky enough to be there for this fashion event where we received 20% off our purchases along with some snacks and wine! There was also this Burnt Orange Tailgating guy at the event that gave us a free t-shirt if we wore it, got our picture taken, and allowed them to post it on the Co-Op's Facebook page. So yes, there are two NYU alumni in a UT Facebook album. Although we love our school, we have to say that we envy the spirit UT kids have for their school and the massive amount of cute options to sport the Longhorns logo! Here you will find bedding, furniture, lots of random kids and dogs clothing, hats, and out of season items frequently for over 50% off. Some items are damaged or scratched while others are simply just no longer in style or in the season. You can sometimes find fur hats here! Love the Co-Op, this is the UT mecca for whatever you are looking for. There is always something to buy and there is always so much to choose from. Parking garage behind it is great to get in and out, if you purchase they will validate as well so bring your ticket with you. There is a great photo spot with Bevo in the back, during graduation he'll get dressed up too. There is a new Welcome to Austin sign that is very well painted and the color is much better than the original sign. There are a few food trucks in the back that I have yet to get to try. The people at the Co-Op are helpful and friendly. There is a sale/outlet section on the 3rd floor. Frustrating experience buying textbooks here for in-store pick-up. My order was fulfilled, but one of the books was missing. The employee at the store seemed baffled and unconcerned about the problem, and couldn't tell me what I should do. "That's weird, it should be in here." Ok. The textbook comes in days later, gets restocked after a week, and I am still charged for the price of the book and a re-stocking fee. What a joke.
