Colorado rocks (The left is what we ordered and the right is what we got.)
    Gabriel P.

First and foremost this review was written for my boss. He doesn't have a Yelp and I told him I could write it for him if he told me what to put. "I'm going to try and write this review without letting my emotions get the best of me and just state the facts in as short of a post as possible. So I prepaid/ordered some rocks from here and they delivered the wrong size after I called to make sure they were delivering the correct amount and they even sent me a picture of what they were delivering. Then when it got here it wasn't what I ordered. Next issue I had was I ordered some edging but they did not have enough for my total order so they gave me a portion of it (which did not include all of the stakes) Then I was told the rest of the order would be here today then when I came in they said it wasn't available. I would not be so upset if they would have communicated with me when they found out it wouldn't be here. My next issue I had was when I came in to state my issues there was not enough of a sense of urgency to solve my problem and I did not feel like they were taking my issues seriously. It's saddening to write this review because I have been doing business with this company for close to 10 years and they made me feel like I was not a priority. Lastly, I do not write reviews to complain about minor issues. The poor communication and execution of this company has cost me thousands of dollars, a customer relationship, and my time. I hope to hear from the owner soon because I cannot find his/her number and the employees that work their would not give it to me." - Chris (737) 402-0521

I ordered 3 yards of granite, and they maybe delivered 1. Their office staff is extremely unhelpful and snarky. I took them photos, comparing what I should have gotten and what I actually got. Zero attempt to resolve the issue even after I PROVED MY CASE. Now, seeing the multiple negative reviews saying the same thing, I won't be returning. Ive done lots of business with them before but this terrible! The girls in the office are condescending! I have a college degree and understand basic math and measurements. Apparently they don't share that skill! Y'all should steer clear of this business. The pictures, the one with white car is what I got. The one with the dumpster is an sizing example of the amount I paid for!!! Big difference!

Cupped leaves, browning, growth stopped. Mature leaf has begun to wilt. (see next pics of same-age sprouts with mature leaves.)

I love the limestone rocks I purchased. Downside---THE SOIL IS NOT SAFE to use on plants. I purchased some 'grower's mix' soil for use on my plants. After reading a review from a few years ago on another site about how garden plants died when planted in these folks' soil, I arranged a test before I committed to using it in the garden. I AM SO GLAD I DID! I have photographic evidence of the differences between their grower's mix and the naturally-occurring clay soil in my front yard. The one planted in their soil, with nothing added, is no longer growing. It is a green-bean. The ones planted in my yard are doing well. It is my recommendation not to buy their soil if you want things to grow in it. (see the pictures of these plants under the business' pictures.)

Super dirty rock! We had so much dirt left that we filled our 12 cu.ft. lawn tractor cart 3.5 times. 1.5++ yards of dirt!!

The selection is good, but the customer service is not. We ordered rock to be delivered. The brochure and website told us the majority of the rock we ordered was washed. The rock was delivered and we began shoveling it only to discover it was full of dirt. We ended up having to sift our supposed 7 yards of rock to separate it from the dirt. We got the short end of the stick - less than 7 yards of rock plus between 1.5-2 yards of dirt. I called to complain and Daisy said the delivery guy had given us extra material. There is no way we got enough extra to actually make a full 7 yards. More than likely we just got extra dirt. I asked to speak to her supervisor & got Erika. Erika's response was that they cannot guarantee the quality of the material because it is natural and they don't manufacture it. She said that I should be grateful because the rock we ordered has been hard to come by and other customers have been fighting over it no matter what condition it is in. I told Erika that we had 5 different interactions with employees and not one person ever told us to expect a pile of dirt with our rock. She told me the delivery guy (Patrick) was actually the owner. That disappointed me even more, because he had a prime opportunity when he delivered the rock to tell us that it was full of dirt. Patrick didn't tell us a thing. As an owner you lead by example, and apparently his example is to dump the material, drive away, and then blame the quarry. This is the 4th major rock project we have done in the past 12 years, but our first in Austin. We have never had rock delivered full of dirt. It's always just come shovel-ready. What a mess! Update 6/15/18: since my original post we completed two other major projects which required materials. Both projects required contractors (propane tank installation and flood zone mitigation). We told both contractors not to use ALS, but due to timing both contractors did. Propane tank installation: delivery area was marked, but Patrick drove to a different part of the yard and almost ran over a small live oak. He proceeded to break branches off of another tree and dump the material in the wrong spot. He was unapologetic and rude. Flood zone mitigation: Patrick delivered the rocks and dumped them on the new section of driveway where our portable basketball goal was sitting. A lot of rock landed on the goal and cracked the base. Customer service, attention to detail, and courtesy are all lacking. I have no need to do business there.

When I called for clarification, the assistant manager was dismissive and unhelpful. She insisted that my sister -- who lives in Chicago -- would need to come into the Georgetown store in person to resolve the issue. That is not realistic and certainly not reasonable for a delivery issue involving a $1,000+ major appliance purchase. She also suggested there may have been an issue because my sister's bank is "out of state." This explanation does not make sense. Many customers use banks or credit unions headquartered outside of Texas. Modern banking does not require a financial institution to be locally based in order to process a transaction. The comment felt inaccurate and dismissive. Additionally, she indicated that speaking with another manager would not change the outcome and suggested there was no avenue for further review or escalation. The message was clear that no one at the store level was willing to step in to reassess or attempt to resolve the situation. Instead of working toward a solution, there was no meaningful effort to clarify the delivery issue or provide assistance. For a $1,000+ appliance purchase, customers deserve clear communication, professionalism, and problem-solving -- especially when delivery is involved. Customers should never feel like a burden when attempting to spend significant money at a store. If this level of service is standard practice, I would encourage others to consider taking their business to a retailer that values and supports its customers.
