Cecilia at the Cedar Park location is the best. She is so friendly and really knows what she is doing. Thank you Cecilia!

The service is nice. The lady was nice. Quality is good. The vibe is OK. My only issue is the haircut pricing for men. It's a little wonky and confusing. Just make a flat rate for what a men's hairstyle. Is it $29 or is a $36? read more

Kayleigh did a great job. Exactly the cut I was looking for and easy to talk to. A better haircut at $29 than others I've paid $50 or more for. Highly recommended. read more

Kayleigh has cut mine and my son's hair for a couple of years. She always is very professional, friendly, and gives great haircuts. Austin Haircut is well run, and consistent. Good place to get a haircut. read more

I got a zero fade from Mi and she was excellent. Probably one of the best fades I have ever got. She is very nice and easy to talk to. I have since been back and I have definitely found my new routine haircut after moving from Denver recently! Mi is also pretty good with them scissors, you can tell she has 20+ years of experience Thank you Mi, you rock !!!!!! read more

MII is the best with fades! great and fun personality. decent price and almost never a wait.

Went in at our scheduled appointment time. Asked to give my 6 year old daughter long side swept bangs and face framing layers. The stylist looked at my google photo and said she could do it. I was expecting the length to be at her cheek/ear lobe area. NOPE! It was cut up above her eyebrows at an angle. The stylist tried to hide her mistake by not blow drying it and then blow drying it with hairspray on the brush. It wasn't what i asked for and I could've done that better at home read more

Good prices, friendly service and so far I really haven't had a bad stylist and I must have rotated through half a dozen folks. Need a basic guy's cut? You could do a lot worse than Austin Haircuts! read more

I had a very bad experience in my life today with Tiffany. It was getting late (7:50pm) wanted to cut my hair. Saloon was open and I asked Tiffany if she can cut my hair. She said "yes". she has started cutting my hair and she was coughing same time. I told her are you OK and you should wear a mask. I am glad, I had a mask on me She didn't want to wear a mask still coughing. She said, "Don't worry I'm vaccinated. I had covid. But I am fine now. Coughing comes from smoking". I left the chair after 1 min and I asked her Do I have to pay or not. Basically she worked one minute on my hair. She said, "if you are not paying I am calling the police". I told her that "I am leaving because of your coughing and I am scared now" You shouldn't charge anything only 1 minute cutting my hair and half of this time was her coughing. I left $18 and left the store. This is horrible customer service. read more

I included the picture I showed the stylist of his prior haircut that he wanted again, a Mohawk. Another picture is what his hair looked like and how long it was when we arrived today. The rest of the pictures are what we walked out with after she rushed through his cut. Stopped by to get my little dude a simple Mohawk. Same length down the middle, a 2 on each sides. Nothing too fancy but it keeps his hair off of his hearing aids and it still gets to be long, like he likes it and so I can use curl cream to bring out his curls. We left with a shaggy haircut that was not at all what we wanted. I even showed her a picture of him with the exact haircut, like it was before, and how he wanted it. She spent not even 10 minutes cutting his hair into something we didn't want. We were in and out of there in 13 minutes including telling her the cut, showing her pictures, prepping him (taking out his hearing aids, putting on the cape and combing his hair), showing me the haircut after, cleaning him up and paying after. She cut it so fast his side burns and back of his neck weren't completely clean and he has hairs sticking out that are longer all over the side of his head. He also has one side that is longer than the other and his bangs in front are very crooked. We might as well have walked in there and said, "cut it however you'd like and don't do it too well" because that is basically what she did. read more

I made an appt for 4pm. I told the woman I had an appointment. She claimed she could not find my appt, that I'd have to wait for the next available person. So I decided I'd wait despite knowing I absolutely did have an appt. Another employee approached the counter, saw my appt and told me my stylist was in the middle of a haircut. No idea who that was since I did not choose one and opted for "any" stylist. A walk-in entered, I heard him ask for a haircut, as a walk-in. The woman claiming I didn't have an appt took him immediately. I don't know if I was discriminated against, but I sat there for another 20 minutes after my appt time, while another group who also had an appt was taken. If you are (potentially visibly) LGBTQ+ ,be aware. I don't think this woman wanted to cut my hair and I cannot fully say with confidence that I was safe at this shop. I also can't say definitively that that was the issue but this is typically how we are treated by non-affirming salons. So people like me who are fearful in my community, or anyone fearful in the BIPOC community sometimes need reassurance that the shop you're working in supports our communities. You might want to let people know somehow by posting things that show that you are affirming so that people like me arent this fearful, and possibly making false assumptions about why you "couldn't find my appointment" , or why you took a walkin after I made an appt and took the time to patron your shop. The person who called me after I left only seemed to want to hear her own point of view about "their" system and seemed to not want to hear my experience. That very same person is the one that found my name and knew I had an appointment. read more

I went in for a simple shampoo and hair dry. Ashley was the only one there but I was the only customer. She did not seem to have a friendly person attitude. Also quick tip they don't fully dry your hair when you get the blow dry which for $12 is not worth it. read more

I've been coming to Great Haircuts for over 6 months and have had nothing but great service. Salima has always helped me and is awesome! She remembered exactly how I like it cut so I'm not having to explain it every time and she does a great job always. Prices are good and the wait time is never too long either. read more

Well they ask for appointments, yet the appointments don't mean much at Austin Haircut Company. I waited til 5 after my appointment time there was only one gal in the place and she had another appointment at 12:00pm. No one else in sight, I waited and no one ever came. I politely asked her to just cancel my appointment, to which she kinda didn't like that and gave me some attitude when trying to cancel. Definitely not the best customer service. I would not recommend this place the appointment system is a total joke. read more

If you're looking to get a great clips value haircut for a barber shop price then this is the place for you!

Great haircut without any fluff. I have struggled to find a salon in Austin for 5 years coming from Boston. I've found most salons to be pretentious and mediocre at best. I came in to Austin Haircut to update my bangs and undercut and Jennie was AMAZING! She offered to trim my hair, and then reshaped my layers. 20 min and $20 later, my hair looked better than when I've paid $70+. Why? Experience. Jennie knows what she's doing, and I'd rather have someone with experience than pay a premium for spa music. Thank you!!!!! Can't wait for my next cut! read more

I had a great experience. Autumn, the hair stylist, is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place.

Got my haircut they didn't have time to wash and dry my hair which was fine. After going home and washing and drying my hair I did not like the cut at all. I came in and asked for it to be fixed. The lady that greeted me I believe her name is Autum was unfriendly. I told her I was just on on Friday am not happy she told me to have a seat. I simply asked about how long she was obviously irritated and said I don't know I don't have an estimate whenever she is done. I sat down I aplogized for not asking before but asked if they were going to charge me again she said yes. At that point I just said nevermind I'm already uncomfortable here. My haircut here on Friday will be the first and last. I will never come here again. read more

Salima is probably the 5th different stylist at Great Haircuts that has cut my hair. She just finished and this is possibly the best haircut I've had in about 30 years. But I have seen Salima working there before. She is always very soft-spoken and unassuming. She strikes me as a person who keeps quietly to their work unless spoken to. Last time I was in, another lady cut my hair, but the place was only at about 20% capacity and I was sitting quite near Babs F. (see prior review) as Salima cut her son's hair. She did a great job. But somehow, much to my surprise, Babs F. found (invented?) some reason to create a fuss which turned into her berating Salima publicly. I was impressed at how Salima listened quietly and respectfully to the lady's unreasonable complaint. I feel compelled to comment on Babs F's review, especially the part where she falsely claims that Salima was "yelling" at her. As a neutral 3rd party, concerned only with truth and fairness, I MUST refute the customers claims that Salima raised her voice or was unprofessional in any way -- this is a complete fabrication or delusion. Salima listened to the lady's complaint silently and respectfully and without any pushback, even as the lady (Babs F.) dragged the drama to the front desk as I was trying to pay. I was now an involuntary integral part of this 1-character drama ... and I can say with complete confidence that Salima NEVER, at any time, raised her voice. Indeed she barely spoke to defend herself against the rather exaggerated claims of the customer. During the entire episode, sitting nearby and standing amid the drama at the front counter, I could barely hear anything that Salima said and it was obvious from her demeanor that she was not being argumentative IN ANY WAY. read more

Latest Update: Spoke with the owner (Michael V), it is their policy to take customers up till closing time. Meaning if you get there 1 min to closing, you'll get a haircut, regardless of the time that it takes. You should never be told "We are all booked up for the night". Michael got the truth from the person working that night. Kudos to him for getting to the truth and for the employee for owning up to the mistake. So someone had a bad night, and made my night worse. Updated from 1 to 3 stars. Original review: I called this salon and they told me, they had a 45 min wait and that I could come in. When I got there with 2 people working and 3 waiting, 1 hour to close, they would not serve us. Sorry, we are all booked up for the night. Wasting my time, my gas, and not heading to another barber. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Added comment 2/10: Michael V, you are not being told the truth. My son and I walked in at exactly 6:04, and I wrote this review directly after. Check the time stamp. Oh, and check my reviews 3 earned negative reviews and 2 positives. So, that's not right either. These bad business practices will catch up with the business. There are many other options, like Great Clips and Sport Clips, online check-in, and they won't turn you away and cover it up. Added 2/11: So either you have no audio (And you are trusting the lady that was working) or you are not telling the truth. I wasn't invited to sign in and wait. I was told, "We are all booked for the evening". And that I wouldn't be served. Why else would I leave when my son needed a haircut for ROTC. I had to trim his hair at home! What possible reason would I lie? I would never come back to your store even under ideal circumstances. I just called and they said they have no idea how to contact you, and a lady that barely speaks English (super nice though) said to call back tomorrow for manager. read more

I've been coming here for quite sometime now. I believe they have changed ownership so they have now decided to go from two stylists closing to one. This was a horrible decision. I now see new stylists because the others have chosen to move elsewhere due to lack of hours. I have been waiting for at least 45 minutes to get a haircut. Shame on you owners. -Another customer you have lost. read more

This place really needs to inform their employees. My 5 year daughter is in need for a haircut before school and we thought it had gotten to late. So we wouldn't get my kids hopes up I did my research and did my due diligence. It was a little after 6pm on Sunday so the pickings we very slim but this place was open but not for long accord to yelp. I called a head just to confirm their closing times. After being told on the phone that they closed at 8pm tonight I told my daughter and she was so excited. Well I had to upset her after I gave her my word that it was gonna happen. We get there a little before 7 and lights are out. Thanks for being so uninformed that you tell someone that their establishment would be open but I seemed to have been lied to. I'm pretty sure they at least have caller ID and could have rectified the issue after making a human error. read more

I'm a man and my haircut is simple so I try random places like this with the hopes of finding a gem in the rough stylist that I can go back to regularly for cheap. My first try I got a fairly good haircut here so I went back. The second time different people were working and I could have left with a really bad one. Luckily a bad cut was able to be salvaged with direction from me to the butcher with no personality who tried to rush my haircut. Men's haircuts here are $14.50 which is a bit on the high side. I wonder if they based their name off great clips to try get name recognition business? I guess my search for the cheap haircut continues. Shoot me a message if you know a good spot. read more

Austin Haircut - Hair Stylists Near Me - Cedar Park, Texas

I walked in one day when I was overdue for a cut and my regular stylist was out of town. Thankfully Jennifer was available. I was a tad nervous because my hair isn't easy and I am NOT easy to please! She gave me such a great cut that I have gone back to her every since. I hardly ever have to wait and the price is great. Excellent service. Highly recommend! read more

I just got my haircut here, luckily I was the 1st one to arrive so I didn't have to wait but the hair barber knew what she was doing. All I really said was to cut it shorter, and 20 minutes later I looked like a brand new man. I think her name was camellia, if u go there ask for her she's awesome. Thanks. read more

I want to recommend Autumn at the Cedar Park location. My haircut yesterday was great but today it is still fabulous. I have fine, limp hair and usually have to use lots of hairspray to keep a little body. I don't know what she did but today I don't have to touch my "do". She actually made me look cute. She's going to be my stylist from now on even though I have to drive from Georgetown. Joanne read more

I've gone here twice now and both times I've left feeling disappoint :/ first time, I loved my hair cut and my stylist was very nice. However, my mothers stylist was awful. Claimed her hair was tangled when it was very obviously the stylists fault. She put some oil in my mother's hair to "detangle" but then just pulled on her hair until the knots came out. Then cut my moms hair much shorter despite having said multiple times how happy she was that her hair finally grew out (she is a cancer survivor and has waiting a long time for how her hair was before this cut). All she wanted was a little trim but left with a full face frame, choppy ends, 2 extra inches taken off, a headache from how hard her hair was pulled, greasy looking hair from that "detangling" oil, and tears in her eyes. I thought I would give it another shot. Went in this last time to get bangs and a trim. Thought I was very clear I wanted side swept, not straight across. She first left them too long and when I asked her to cut more, she chopped 2 inches off until they were center of my forehead. So now the attention I was attempting to divert from my forehead via side swept bangs, is now emphasized through the hairs that end in the center of my forehead and don't sweep to the side. Quite sad about it and trying to remind myself hair grows back but... until it does, guess I'll be clipping it back everyday. My stylist was nice but seemed irritated I asked her to fix it after her first attempt and from there it went downhill ): Don't plan on coming back. read more
