She was kind, gentle, and very friendly. He is over the moon thrilled with his new cut. Vizionz is appointments only right now due to Covid19. They are strictly limiting customers, who call on arrival at the locked door to be let in very promptly after a quick forehead temp scan. We were able to get an appointment same afternoon I called. Everyone must be masked and is asked to wash hands immediately upon arrival. I just can't say enough, how much love I have for the responsibility, cleanliness and health consciousness of this unassuming, reasonably priced salon/barbershop. That combined with the quality cut. Priceless. Wish I could afford to tip much more than I did, hope they manage to stay in business during this tough time. WE WILL BE BACK, FOR SURE.

I have only been to a salon to get my hair bleached twice in my life. I know how to bleach my own hair. I went here because my mom goes here and recommended It. First off I scheduled an appmt over the phone for 3pm on a Tuesday. I show up. They go oh you don't have an appointment. Ok. They didn't offer to make it better. They didn't discount me or work me in. They just said come back tomorrow. Ok. Came back for a scheduled bleach and toner. I said I don't want gray or yellow/orange. I said I don't like silver or old lady white. I just want an ashy blonde that doesn't look yellow. Hannah bleached my hair. I told her it burned the entire time and she said that's normal. Ok. I had claustrophobia and she didn't care at all or offer to stop and rinse it out. I even asked can we skip my scalp and she just laughed. Ok Then came the toner. She put me off onto another person to do the toner because she'd double booked herself and that person was more important apparently. So she goes to cut and blow dry and shampoo other people while leaving me with an assistant. The toner came out yellow which is what I didn't want. So she tells her assistant to do it again. They do a different toner and it was burning so while she was washing someone else's hair I asked can someone come rinse this out? And she said ok. And she rinsed it out. Guess her assistant left. Then we go blow dry it. And I'm immediately shocked. To tears. It was like senior gray hair. Absolutely hated it. I looked like I was wearing a wig. Her solution - dawn dish soap. That's what she said to do. I don't even use dawn to wash dishes. I'm not putting it on my head. They charged me over $200 for something l said I didn't like cause it made me look like a senior. After THREE hours of an appointment I left crying in my car with a throbbing headache from the chemicals and my scalp feels burnt and my hair feels brittle as a crisp. The place reeks of formaldehyde and chemicals and there are no air purifiers or ventilation. I am posting what I asked for. The cut and color. And I'm posting what she did. My mom sees Tori and I've heard Tori does a good job. They should invest in air purifiers. I washed my hair out 7 times and got most of the gray out. Besides feeling like an unwanted client by how I was treated, I've heard other people have good experiences. Guess it's my luck. Hopefully you have a better experience.

She asked questions along the way and being new, took a little off first to make sure I liked it before getting takin the rest off. Her attention to detail is phenomenal for a family hair shop. After many recommendations from neighbors, we decided to try The Hair Stop. We have a normal…read morehairdresser in Austin that we absolutely love, but prices have been raised so we thought we'd try somewhere closer and new to us. Big mistake. Our son wanted a sort of faux hawk. Short on the side, longer on the top. Nothing crazy. A very common cut for 7 year olds. My husband took him, showed the barber the picture, and tried his best to explain what our son wanted. As soon as the barber started cutting, my husband was nervous. It's extremely extremely short. Nothing like what he wanted. It also wasn't an inexpensive cut, cheaper than what we normally pay, but not worth $26 before tip at all. My husband said the owner was doing an interview and once it concluded, he came out and turned on music that was filled with curse words. I curse like a sailor, but not in a family setting. We will never go back. I'm not sure if the guy was new and just wasn't sure how to cut my son's hair, but all I can say is thank god his hair grows fast and he doesn't have school until Wednesday because it's not great looking. Im posting a picture of my son's before, after, and what we asked for. I've updated the star count to 3. The owner reached out and made things right. While we won't be going back, the actions of the owner show that he's a really good guy and it was just a mistake.

The haircut he gets is always spot on. Linda (the owner) does a great job with what we want. She has suggestions on what will work with his hair. He's gotten super comfortable coming here and will sit through an entire haircut (even the clippers part) with no fuss. That's a pretty big deal for a two year old! He loves to sit in the car and watch a movie while she's cutting. My husband even gets his cut if she has time. Again, it's not some decked out fancy spot - it actually reminds me of being a kid in someone's aunt's kitchen getting a cut back in the day (y'all know what I'm talking about). But it's a great cut, it's affordable, he's comfortable and she knows her stuff. Can't ask for much more!
