I'm new to the area and just wanted a haircut since it had been several months (like pre-COVID) since my last one. At first, I went to another salon and was turned away immediately. *I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing the regular masks that everyone else does AND I carry a signed medical excuse note with me. What I can, and do, wear is a face shield* The other salon just blatantly said NO. So, I went to Cost Cutters. Tai was very friendly as soon as I walked in. Told me to sit down and actually worked with me to figure out how to cut my hair while wearing my face shield. It almost brought me to tears how nice and understanding she was. The haircut was perfect. I will definitely be going back and ask for Tai every time. read more

$20 for a boys haircut is pretty expensive for cutters who have basic cutting skills. Asked for a simple zero fade , and just trim the top. She cut too much on one side just because my son said that's where he parts his hair- that shouldn't mean get scissor happy. Never coming back. read more

None of that is true. I asked her to stop and she did not. Other customers saw what was going on and rallied behind me. I had a cost cutters debt card they wouldn't take. Not a gift card from another salon. No one harassed anyone. My mother was crying in the chair. She was only suppose to wash and fix her hair. She was joking when pointed at the ugly crazy haircut and asked how that would look on her. She certainly didn't want that stupid looking haircut. They got paid. I DON'T want nor would I every recommend this horrible clip joint. They will, " on further investigation" you as well, then tear you down to keep that shop going. Came in tonight for our second time & although they were technically closed and I didn't know it, Tai didn't turn us away. not only is she fast & efficient, but she has a warm, friendly personality that keeps us coming back. S'brina was able to sneak my 4yr old daughter in after her & her sister had attempted to cut her own hair. There were chunks missing all over! I really thought there was no hope. S'brina was very patient with my wiggly 4yr old, and also taught her about special scissors used only for hair, and how they go to school to learn to cut hair. I have 2 boys that I have been taking to the Cost Cutters in Hutto for years. The ladies in there are wonderful! I visited recently and was impressed with the haircut Kyndale gave my 8 year old son. She listened to what I had to say about what style works with his hair and his haircut turned out great! She was also super gentle and friendly with him which was very much appreciated. read more

Went in today to get my haircut as I do every other Sunday, my usual stylist wasn't there so I had another woman cut my hair. I will say the whole staff there is very polite and friendly and always accommodating, however my stylist today seemed new to the business and had to have another stylist check her work, I instantly had a bad feeling, but...I'm not a newbie to life, I know hair grows back it's really no biggie but.. I just accepted a new position at work and I have to look good. So I left and gave a tip and met my wife and her reaction to me was WTF! And I just knew lol long story short as it can be, I may be back but please train your staff better, the woman who cut my daughters hair was so greT, very personable and nice, but today was just the worst day for a bad haircut. read more

My husband went to this place to get a Haircut, and left with the worst Butcher Job He's Ever Had...There was no one there, so there was No reason to Rush threw it, but the woman finished in minutes, my husband told her it was too short, but she didn't care...you can see the lines where she cut the back of his hair, and didn't blend it after cutting it, it's Compleatly uneven there's clumps of hair that's longer on one side and the back of his neck is missing the right corner....ITS AWFUL!!! read more

Took my daughter in for a haircut. She showed her a picture and then the cutting started. Shes been crying for last two hours. The cutter didnt communicate with her and finished product looks nothing like the picture. Not recommended. read more

My family always comes here for all of our haircuts. The staff is always familiar with us and very welcoming. I took my son to another location by the same company because I was running errands and strapped for time. That location messed up his hair and made it worse when they tried to fix it. Dani did an incredible job on my hair . I am from Dallas and have been here for 10 years in the Taylor and Hutto area . I have always just got my hair done by the same stylist when I've gone home to visit family, scared to make a change. I've tried other hair stylist in Taylor an Austin but always get fried hair or a bad cut. on Sunday I gave it one more try and hit a home run.
