I don't even know where to start! For one Ofelia is by far the best stylist I've ever had! And on top of that she speaks Spanish which is a huge plus in my book! Also when I say that I have never felt more comfortable getting anything done I really mean it! I was sending a bunch of request to get a perm from a bunch of places in the Hutto area. I had a couple of specific request that was making finding a stylist very difficult. That was until I recieved a message from Eriselda's Salon. They answered within a day and let me know that they were going to do their best to accommodate me. And they absolutely overdelivered. I was introduced to one of the sweetest person I've ever met Ofelia Castillo! She was my stylist and she made me feel like I was at home and she did an incredible job. I have been struggling with hair stylist that are not passionate with their art for many years , so I was a little leery about trying someone new ( again). But I went to Eriselda's salon and was NOT disappointed. To have someone actually listen to what I wanted for a color and cut was refreshing!!! Ofelia listened and customized a color and perfectly cut my hair and styled it how I wear it daily. She is a great artist and is passionate and professional , definitely loves what she does. I walked in today for the first time and was greeted by the owner Eriselda, she was super sweet and was able to get Ofelia to come and give me a cut and wash on short notice. Ofelia did an amazing job at finding out what i needed with it being my first postpartum cut. She was very patient and explained everything she was using and doing to ensure that i was comfortable. She is also very personable and really made me enjoy my time there. Overall i was extremely happy with the way my hair turned out and the overall experience in this salon. I wanted to be able to leave a glowing review for this salon! It's cute and clean. Ofelia did a great job on my root color and cut-- I was very pleased until it came time to pay! On the salon's 'Services' page here on Yelp, it says a root color and trim is $75. That's what I was prepared to pay. I was completely shocked when Ofelia told me she was charging me $130!! I showed her the posted page on Yelp that said $75, but she said that's not what she charges, and didn't she tell me the price when I called for the appointment? I told her she did not, and I did not ask because it was listed on the Yelp page, so why did I need to ask? She kept repeating that she thought she told me and scrolled through her text messages to try to find a message stating the price, which of course she could not find. I really think what would have been fair at that point would have been for her to honor the $75 posted price, or at least offered to split the difference. But she just looked at me and repeated the price. I was very frustrated by that point and thought it better to just pay her and get out of there before I said something I might regret. So, my caution to you is- make sure you know what they're charging before you go! It's unfortunate, because I was hoping to find a reputable place to go as a regular customer. Loved the atmosphere in the salon -- just a good ol' hometown salon like I've missed, not those sterile office cube spaces so many stylists are working in these days. I like how all the customers get "VIP parking" spaces. I was offered a choice of wine, coffee or water. Ashley immediately understood what I was looking for in terms of color and cut, and she cheerfully went to work. The end result was lovely -- I could just tell she was as pleased it as I was. Last time I went in my hair was damaged from over processing and not using the right products. I went back to cut off the damage and have one single color placed. I have been going to Linnea for 3 years. I have thick, curly hair and she does amazing work with it. She is always open to my ideas and gives suggestion when I know I want to do something but don't know what. over the summer, I finally took the plunge and added some purple. I was unsure if I'd be able to keep it, so she did a balayage and it looks awesome! Yesterday made twice that I have had Eriselda do my hair. Both times I have received the BEST haircut ever. She did an excellent, superb, wonderful, awesome job! She looks like the professional person she is. Have you ever been to a SuperCuts or somewhere 'chainy' like that and the haircutters have sloppy hair? Not Eriselda. Her place in Hutto is charming, super clean, beautifully decorated, top notch, and did I say clean? The boutique portion of the store is quite amazing. All her items are reasonably priced and she has a variety of purses, jewelry, and other nicknacks. Don't compare what you see on the outside because when you walk in you will be surprised! I know I was! What I really like about her is she allows an hour for a consultation of your expected hair's outcome. She will continue to be my hairstylist for sure. My girls were so excited to have their hair colored for the summer so I made an appointment with the owner and Linnea called me to discuss what I wanted for them. I wasn't going to be there for appointment so I was sure to let her know I wanted the underside colored. Unfortunately when I saw the girls they were super disappointed and it was pretty terrible. I don't like writing anything bad on here just good reviews but when I tried to fix their hair, I was given a time frame to bring them and when I tried the girl was on vacation and then given a date for an appointment to come in at the end of August. My husband has had his hair cut here a few times and hasn't had any issues which is why I was so excited about the girls first hair coloring but unfortunately it wasn't a good result. read more

Long story short--this is my new hair stylist!! I recently had my hair stylist from Taylor (who I had seen for almost 5 years) cancel on my wedding--so I was freaked out and upset with only 6 days before my big day. I have known Eriselda Johnson for 7 years--told her my situation and she asked me to come to her salon so she could show me some styles I could do myself (my wedding was in Dripping Springs, so no way for me to run back up to Hutto for hair and hustle back down for the wedding). She was so great--gave me lots of ideas and was super encouraging! I just went back to her today for a wash and cut--I was a little vague about what I was looking for and she help narrow some ideas down and did an great job. I got what I think was the best shampoo ever (scalp massage--the whole 9 yards). My husband loves my new do! I can't wait to take my little girl in--I know she will be a fan too! Ladies--I know that its hard to find someone you like and trust with your hair--Eriselda is definitely worth at least one appointment. But be warned--one visit and you will be hooked!
