One of my friends told me a while back that she tried to schedule an appt with a "Jenny something" in RR, but couldn't because Jenny was booked 3 months out. In my skeptical mind, I was like she can't be that good only because I don't put that much effort into my hair and was never going to wait 3 months for an appt. Well, recently I was contacted by a Jenny T for a macaron order via IG. When I was reading the message from Jenny requesting the order, I happened to be over at that friend's house for dinner, and honestly, blurted out "does anyone know a Jenny T?" My friend immediately said, that's who I tried to make an appt with!! And guess what, I was in desparate need of a redo of my hair color. I colored my hair for the first time ever a few months ago, and it did not go well, I was disappointed and stuck with a color I never wanted! I've been procastinating the redo because I didn't have faith in anyone getting the color I wanted originally. I took a leap of faith and asked Jenny whether she can fix my hair and if by any chance, she is availabe before my wedding date in May. She scheduled me in 3 weeks later after I asked. She took care of my hair for 3.5 hrs, cleaned up the mess (I should say blended it in), got really close to what I wanted with a foilyage. Note that what I wanted couldn't be achieved on the first or second try because my hair is really dark to begin with. I wanted to go really light ashy gray. But I do love the color she did for my hair, my hair now has personality. My friends loved it when I sent them the photos. They have been asking me when I was going to redo the previous disaster. If you are going to drop this much money on your hair, do it with someone talented who cares about the quality of her/his work.

I had already stalked her work on IG before taking the quiz to see which stylist would be a good fit and Bam! I was matched with her. I am extremely picky with my hair due to having past hair stylist trauma and was loyal to my CA stylist for over 10 years. After our initial consult I felt very comfortable that she would be able to recreate my inspo pic, she literally knew exactly what colors to use to get me there. Itit turned out better than I imagined. She took me from my close to natural blonde that I felt made me look washed out and lifeless to this gorgeous rich strawberry shortcake. I literally couldn't wait for my next appointment so I moved it up a few weeks because I love my hair so much! Thank you Callie!!!

I booked an appointment with the salon's highest-level stylist, who advertises herself as a…read moreblonding specialist. I showed her exactly the platinum tone I wanted. My receipt reflects a premium service labeled "Platinum AF." I paid $650 for what I believed would be master-level platinum blonding. Instead, approximately 70% of my foils were placed by an assistant who graduated cosmetology school in June 2024 and had only been working at the salon for three months. The lead stylist repeatedly stepped away to service other clients. She was not consistently present during application and did not meaningfully evaluate the foils until removal was nearly complete. The assistant also performed all foil removal. Platinum blonding is one of the most technically demanding chemical services in the industry. It requires precision placement, careful saturation, and close monitoring. That did not happen. The final result was objectively poor: * Large orange and yellow hot spots throughout * Uneven processing * The nape of my neck partially unhighlighted on one side * Patchy tonal inconsistency * Noticeable dryness and signs of chemical damage This was not a subtle "slightly off tone." This was visibly uneven, brassy, and inconsistent work -- especially unacceptable at this price point. When I expressed concern immediately in the chair, I was told it was "the lighting" and reassured it was platinum. I was not shown the back of my head before leaving. When I got home, my 14-year-old daughter walked in and said, "Your hair is yellow." I had not said a word to her. The issue was obvious. I returned the next day requesting a partial refund because I did not feel comfortable allowing additional bleach on already compromised hair. I was told refunds are against policy. Charging premium, specialist-level pricing while delegating the majority of a complex platinum service to a newly graduated assistant -- without clear and direct informed consent in the chair -- feels like a deceptive practice. Clients deserve transparency about who is performing a chemical service on their hair. If I am paying for a master blonding specialist, I expect that specialist to perform the work. At $650, there should be a clear transformation and a "wow" moment. Instead, I left with uneven, brassy, partially unprocessed hair and no accountability. Future clients should ask very clearly who will actually be performing their service before agreeing to premium pricing.

She said they didn't tell her. I asked if that's a problem. She said no it's just an extra charge. I said ok that's fine. She started brushing my hair. She isn't brushing from the bottom up. She's brushing from the top down. It's getting tangled. She asks if she's hurting me. I say no. She doesn't say another word to me. Doesn't talk to me at all. Again not saying a word to me about anything. A ton of water starts going in my ear. She hadn't given me a towel around my neck so I was using the cape to get it out. Water then starts splashing on my face. I start laughing at this point. She says "can you scoot back?" And then asks if something is wrong. I ask how much longer is left with the shampooing. She says "your hair is full of shampoo." I tell her I am going to end this when this is done. "So you don't want me to condition your hair?" No I do not. "What happened?" I told her it just seems the energy is off and sometimes people just don't connect. She said "you just seemed upset about the miscommunication with the girls upfront." I said "you haven't talked to me. Barely said 5 words to me since I got here." I put my hair in a bun got my stuff and went to pay. She was there and told me not to worry about it. I said I have no issue paying my bill. She said no. I turned to leave and she said: "you have an absolutely amazing day."
