Walking inside I was met by a friendly taquero and tables filled with native Spanish speakers. All signs said thus was going to be good. I chose a combo plate with two massive, stuffed carnitas tacos and a carne asada street-sized taco. Although it was quite tasty, the asada was just an afterthought for me. After pouring on some spicy salsa roja and a guacamole sauce with a topping of onions and cilantro I tucked into the best or at least top-3 carnitas tacos I've ever had. I like the ingredients, steak, potatoes, vegetables, etc, seasoned and not the other way around. I find a lot of places over season their food. Not here. the steak, veggies, and mashed potatoes were lightly seasoned, just enough to enhance the flavor but not overwhelm the core ingredient. the steak was tender, the vegetables perfectly cooked and seasoned. I didn't even try and figure our what seasonings they used, I just enjoyed the meal. Short of this part of the meal, fantastic. With the gnochi, we had a little bit of an issue. There was a problem with how they were cooked, they were a little stiffer than they should be, but the sauce they were in was fantastic. BTW, they are not gluten free, so this is my wife's perspective. When they asked how our meal was we mentioned that to them. They looked at the gnochi and agreed. they then didn't just correct the issue, but went above and beyond. They asked if we wanted something else, made a suggestion since we couldn't decide and prepared that for us. They also did something else while we were there. They tried to make more batches of the gnocchi, not for us but so that they could see what went wrong. Then came back and told us what they had done and the results. The service was some of the best I have ever had. They had a good selection of gluten free options, depending on your sensitivity your options might change, but there are plenty of options and a few that are not on the menu. The owner suggested a burger on mashed potatoes, even though they have a gluten free bun. My gluten sensitvity is pretty high, so he was providing as many options for me as possible. All in all, I really liked the food, the service, and the attention to my food sensitivities.

The "truck" was the highlight of the 2025 Festa Italiana in SLC. The thing that set it apart from other pizzerias was the sauce. From what I read, they use a real crushed tomato. It was the true perfect balance of sweet and savory. I am telling you this pizza was so good that I had to go back to the festival the next day and get more. 10/10 - perfection!
