I indulged in my inner child and cuddled as many as possible. Except for the chicken 'cos my neighbor has those. And I didn't really cuddle the bearded dragon... more like I draped him across my arm, then petted him with one finger. The TTTY staff were absolutely fantastic, dealing with both humans and animals smoothly and efficiently. They also ensured the animals took regular breaks to rest and eat. This is a small cemetery that sits on less than an acre of land. It's less than 100 feet from US…read more183 north just outside of Pilot Knob. Only one section is fenced in, but all of it is easily accessible. There is no parking lot so you'll have to park further down the narrow feeder lane. The cemetery is divided into three sections which may have a lot to do with the families buried here. The cemetery has been pretty well kept up considering there were no toppled headstones or heavy overgrowth. Many of these graves are from the early part of the 20th century and some a little earlier than that. The most recent decedent that I could find was from 1992. One thing that seemed conspicuously absent was a Texas historical sign. Sadly, quite a number of graves are dedicated to small children and those under 30. The photos included in this review add more dimension.

Our instructor, Annabelle, was AMAZING -- knowledgeable, calm, kind, and truly attentive the entire time. I had the honor of riding Poncho, a strong, steady, and beautiful horse. There was something incredibly grounding about simply walking the trails, crossing through water, and fully trusting him to guide us safely -- and he absolutely did. That connection, that peace, that trust... unforgettable. We enjoyed this experience so much that we already know we'll be back in March, and we plan to end this year the same way we started it -- on horseback, making memories together. Through a series of emails over the course of a week, he offered a couple of options at different price points. I should mention that I was trying to arrange our trip for peak season and was a bit late for booking travel at that time. Unfortunately, our trip was cancelled due to the pandemic. But Jim came through again, helping us to obtain a refund. Through all our interactions, Jim was helpful, informative and pleasant. Perhaps most impressively, he always responded promptly -- I think always within 24 hours. I highly recommend Amazon Adventures and will contact Jim again when we are able to travel once more.

It was warm, a little breezy, but the vibes were there and everyone was happy mingling, drinking, just a typical ATX night out on Rainy. Now yes, some of the charm has left. Little by little every few years something disappears, and something new comes in. The people make up for the "charm" feel. We remember what once was. Little houses that once held family dinners and birthday backyard parties are now bars. Gutted out of the family photos hanging on the walls, to neon signs barring a beer logo. Rainy Street is still charm for those that once knew it and hold it in our hearts. We make the charm because we knew, and we pass that vibe to the college kids (sorry, but you are still kids) that spend their whole weekend night letting lose and being just that, fun kids experiencing life, not corporate life, but life life. It's up to us mature Rainy Street goers to show these kids how it's done. IMO Rainy Street. Bar hoping at its bests. Charming street. Decorated for the season. Come at Christmas, it's a ball! Everything is walkable. Some really nice higher end restaurants have moved in. It's a nice place to start out your night. You will find college kids here. But you'll also see birthday party groups, bachelorette parties, bachelor parties just people having fun, enjoying life. You'll see mature, older men and women with their, "I'm still 28" in my mind. (Me, I'm that woman) They do have a small food truck area too. So when you're looking for something quick, give these food trucks a go. They are pretty good. And they have seating so you can chill, and get back at it. I only saw 1 parking lot. It was $50. For 3 hours. And $55 for 6 hours. Uber in, car pool, or find parking a block or 2 away.
