The day way fairly cloudy and misty but it cleared up some late in the day. Despite some issues with the taxiway and runway lights (which were the airport's issue and clearly not something Austin Biplane could be faulted for) and a cloudy breezy weather, it was a great flight! Rob pointed out all of the landmarks as we went along and got us in a good position to see the sunset as it peaked through the clouds. Despite the weather, he did a great job keeping the flight fairly smooth. As a retired USAF member I totally appreciated that Rob served in the USAF as a pilot. It was only about 60 degrees when we took off, but Rob was absolutely correct when he said we wouldn't need jackets - the heat from the engine kept the temperature perfect - not hot and not cold - glad we listened! All in all - we had a great time and I'd recommend Austin Biplane to anyone who is looking to do something totally different for an occasion!

By far, the best experience I have ever had with a travel company. My hubs and I had been planning…read morea "Bucket List" trip to Iceland for many years, and finally decided to do it. After searching through a zillion websites, and feeling totally overwhelmed, I decided to take a chance and see what a travel company could do that I couldn't. Well, as it turns out, a LOT. Tricia found us several great tour packages to choose from, as well as on-our-own type stays. We decided to do both, booking a WONDERFUL tour package that included amazing meals, awesome accommodations, and amazing sites, but we also did 2 nights each on our own on the front and back end. She booked it all to mesh seamlessly with the tour. There is so much to this beautiful country, and we were able to experience it all without any stress or worry. One special thing that she did for me...I had expressed an interest in getting an in-water massage at the Blue Lagoon. Our tour offered a Lagoon excursion, but I wasn't sure if it would allow for this once in a lifetime experience. Tricia not only called the tour company to find out if this could be possible, but went so far as calling the spa, getting the info and booking it for me... I was thrilled, and a little blown away that she would take such good care of me. I fully expected to research and book this on my own. And that experience is one of my favorite memories in all of my travels (and we have traveled all over the world!). She even sent us a fun goody box before the trip, just to get us excited. I can say that, as someone who used to doing all the research, booking, reserving, etc. online, Travel TK will be my go-to stop for ALL things travel from now on!! Thanks Tricia... you made our "bucket" runneth over!!

The biggest concern was a mandatory 20% gratuity that was never disclosed in the Getmyboat listing or booking terms. After booking, the owner informed me it was required and that my options were to pay it or cancel the trip. My issue wasn't with tipping--it was that the total cost changed after I had already booked. I contacted Getmyboat support, but they told me owners set their own fees, and I ultimately felt I had no realistic choice but to pay since our trip was only a few days away. I was also originally told I could pay the gratuity in cash on the day of the trip, but a few days beforehand I was told it had to be paid in advance through Venmo. On the day of the trip, the boat arrived about 20 minutes late for pickup, and I found the captain to be unprofessional. He smoked weed and drank during the chatter and made us stop on the way back so he could jump into the water to urinate. The boat itself was exactly what we expected, but the lack of transparency about mandatory fees and the overall professionalism left a negative impression. I hope future guests are informed of all required charges before booking so they can make an informed decision. Even with private reviews and information given the owners never reached out or apologized for the whole experience. Would not recommend this place
