We were a total of 12 people and headed to party cove for a great time. We had a 4:15pm satruday reservation and were advised to get there about 45 mins early, which I'm glad we did as it was pretty crowded. Great experience on the lake with 10 people plus the driver. Boat was on the water and ready to roll before we even arrived. Get to the dam parking lot early as it took about 15 minutes to pay and find parking on a Saturday afternoon. $5 entry fee for each person, not vehicle. Disabled vets get in free. Was about a 20 minute ride to devils cove. Take in the views and add some sunscreen! There was a pretty large cooler available, however we did have a couple of our own too. Driver, Michael, was great to ride with. We ended up parking next to a group throwing around a football that hit our stuff and made a mess. Michael was great to get the other group to stop and get it cleaned up. Bathroom was available for an extra $50. Was like a little pop up tent. Bring a designated phone to play music on the boats speakers. Pretty decent sound, just had some bots docked around us that were obnoxious. Lilly pad was a huge plus to help stay afloat in the water. Fit 6 people comfortably, 10 was a bit tight. Overall a great experience. Pretty big party scene at devils cove during early June. read more

We rented a 14 person Pontoon boat with Wave in Water on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. The boat was really nice, big, clean and came with a very large cooler & a lily pad - so you don't really have to bring your own! Our captain was Jimmy and he was very good at communicating with me leading up to our rental and also when we were walking onto the dock to find him. The only reason I give 4 stars is because of these few things: We anchored at the very back side of devils cove and after we realized it was way more fun in the middle of devils cove and asked to move, the captain said it would take too long and recommended against it (I think we had about 40 more min before we were going to leave that area back for the dock). Definitely a more tamed and family friendly experience, didn't feel like it would be good for a party group. If you know where you want to anchor, then make sure to ask. We asked about the restroom (that we paid $50 extra dollars for) several times and the captain said "if you want to use it you can let me know because I would have to set it up" so this deterred us from using it because we felt bad asking. My niece waited all the way until we docked back at the end to use the restroom because she felt bad. That restroom should be set up right away for guests to feel comfortable and not have to ask. My brother's cap flew off on our way back to the dock and we asked the captain if we could turn around and grab it because it was floating in the water and he said no - we also returned to the dock with 10min to spare so a quick stop to make one of your guests happy would've been nice. read more

Words cannot express how much fun I had with my cousins on a Wave In Water boat charter. Our Captain was Blake and we arranged for him to pick us up from our rental dock and that was amazing!!! We had a huge group and pricing was around $50 each (including a 20% tip) for a two hour cruise on "Bentley". It was well worth it! It did seem to take Blake a little time to warm up to us. At first, he was barely acknowledging us as we arrived at the boat which created a little bit of a weird vibe to start off with as we are w friendly bunch. I would say about an hour plus into the trip, when we stopped the boat to use the lily pad per my request, and Blake also jumped in the water and took a swim which seemed to revive him! He was friendlier for the last portion of the charter which concluded the experience in a great way and we tipped him well. I think it's important for all the captains to remember that the energy they bring to the boat has a big affect on the passenger experience. The overall experience gets 5 stars still because I felt that we were safe on the boat (they had life vests, Blake said he was a marine and an excellent swimmer, and we were able to bring our own drinks and plug our music into the boat's sound system).
