This past Memorial Day weekend, the girls headed to Austin for our friend's bachelorette party and we spent Sunday with Captain Kris! The boat had plenty of space for our group of 16 and we had tons of fun hanging out. The weather was a bit spotty, but it kept it together while we were out on the water - so no complaints here! Hanging out on a boat after two long nights of drinking might not sound ideal, but the perks of being on a boat is you can make it as crazy or as low-key as you want. For us, we kept it chill at first to overcome the previous night's hangover..and then we got a little more crazy as our mojo returned after a few rounds of shots. Captain Kris is super cool and definitely brought energy to our group. He's very friendly and more importantly, extremely professional in keeping to his schedule while still being able to corral a group of drunken girls without killing the vide. This boat tour had to have been one of the highlights of the trip! One thing to mention is that we didn't go out on the lake during peak hours and were there during the early afternoon. I heard it gets a little bit crazy in the later shifts. Either way, all of us had SO MUCH FUN. I would definitely recommend Captain Kris for all your boating needs in Austin! read more

Captain Kris kept our family of 17 (including grandparents, parents, little kids) safe and having a ton of fun out on The lake. So much fun, that we booked an evening outing before we finished the daytime outing, went home for dinner, and came back for fireworks on the lake. Captain Kris made my sister's bachelorette party an absolutely unforgettable event. Everyone had a blast, especially the bride! He brought us to a nice calm area of the lake that was perfect for swimming, and made sure everyone was safe. While we were in the water, he grilled and prepared all the food we brought with us so it was ready when we came back on the boat - super nice! The boat is great - clean, white, with two levels, coolers, comfortable benches all around, an awesome water slide, and even a pop-up bathroom if needed. My family was in Austin for a long overdue Family Reunion. We are a retired military family and all of us are living in different states. We make a point to visit often, but with Covid, it was difficult. We are all vaccinated and decided it was time to get together for family and for some fun! I would absolutely recommend that anyone planning a group trip to Austin book a day on the water with Captain Kris. You will not regret it!! P.S. We went on a Friday and it was a little slower than it would be on a Saturday. It was also a little early in the season. If you go later in the summer, Friday should still be packed, but if you go in the beginning of April like we did, I might recommend a Saturday or Sunday. To say we had an amazing time on our cruise with Capt. Kris is doesn't even begin to describe it. He is the absolute best. Let me start by saying that we brought a variety of meat (and even some bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers) and he grilled everything to perfection. Probably the best meal of our entire trip in Austin. He also brought us drinks and made sure we were having a blast the entire time. We were a group of 5 adults and 4 teenagers and he took us to a quiet cove for swimming, jumping off the boat, and using the slide. Even the moms got in on the fun. We had a complete blast. I would highly recommend Good Time Tours and will definitely do this again. We rented for four hours and made sure some of those hours were during sunset. Capt. Kris lit up the boat as the sun set and gave us a little cruise around the lake. It was the best night with family and by the time we got off the boat, Capt. Kris felt like family too. read more

I'd give 10 stars if I could! If you're looking for a fun time with loved ones on the lake, this is the company to go with! I surprised my mom with a private sunset cruise for her birthday 3 years ago and was so impressed by how clean and spacious the boat was (and how chill the captain was), that I knew I wanted to return one day. This past weekend, I went back to celebrate my birthday with the 4-hour ride on the "Rambunctious" boat. It was a group of 16 of us, and we all had a BLAST! Once again a spotless boat, Bluetooth connects your music through the speakers, and Captain Kris got everyone hyped up from the start. He even drove the boat to one of the ice stands along the lake (I didn't know that existed) so we could keep our drinks cold since the stores we stopped at on the way were out of ice. That was very much appreciated. Captain Kris also took the time to grill all of our food for us without missing a beat. We were truly able to just enjoy ourselves and feel safe the entire time -- let me tell you, those 4 hours flew by. I really cannot rave about Good Time Tours enough. I've already referred a couple more friends who inquired about it for their future celebrations after seeing all the photos I posted. I will definitely be back, special occasion or not.
