If you want a safe and enjoyable day on Lake Travis, you have to book ATX Wake Adventures. We had a party of 12 and 2 captains on a pontoon boat. They were so friendly and you could tell they really enjoyed their time on the lake. Very experienced, we were in good hands. The company is good at communication. Everything was great booking with ATX. The scheduling was super easy, the weather was great our driver Daniel was awesome! I would actually do 3 1/2 stars. It wasn't an option. The only complaint we had was the condition of the boat. There are no pictures on the website showing the interior and now I can see why. It was in very bad shape, the seats were all torn, the covers they had over certain spots smelled like sour milk and there were snaps on sections that when you were moving to ski platform it would catch your swim suit or leg and snag. Also the boat had some issues with the cruise control disengaging. All in all we did have a good time but it was my son's birthday and his first time to surf just would have liked his first impression to be off the chart. We would use ATX again because like I said everything else was great but I would ask for more pictures of our particular boat in advance. read more

This boating service was amazing. We booked a ride in the same day and they were kind and understanding about it. Our driver, Colton, was an efficient communicator and we had no troubles finding him. He brought us wakeboards, water skis, wake surfboards, and tubes. He even took time to teach us how to do each water sport. ATX Wake Adventures was an absolute blessing in disguise. The bachelor party I was organizing had another company cancel on us the day before our trip. Overall, good experience. They were pretty responsive and flexible. Here are some pointers for future users: 1. I took one star out because the speaker didn't work, so no music during the whole ride. It was a known issue that they never communicated beforehand. 2. I took another star out because they said the only reason we didn't get a new boat was that another group had +15 people, so they could not fit into ours per its legal capacity. However, we ended up anchoring our boat with the other group and found out they didn't even have 10 people. We'd have been okay if they told us simply they paid more. But it wasn't the case, and we weren't pleased knowing that our boat quality was compromised by the small discount they offered voluntarily for an administrative error on their web reservation. 3. I added a star back because they were mindful of the time loss during the boat checking process and gave us extra 30 mins. Summary - be sure to specify which boat you want. Also, be sure to confirm whether all the amenities advertised are included (e.g. bluetooth speaker). Other than that, it's one of the better boat rental companies in Lake Travis / Austin. TIM!!! That's really all I need to say but there is more. Tim was our boat captain and he made it the best experience. We went for a bachelorette party and tied up to other boats and he was so accommodating and great about handling crazy girls and keeping his cool. We asked him to take some pictures for us too and he took great pictures throughout our time on the boat which made for perfect memories. Colton and Tim at ATX Wake Adventures were absolutely amazing! Myself and 10 other girls flew from St. Louis, MO to Austin, TX for my sister's bachelorette party and we had a boat booked through another company for Friday, Sept. 17th. That boat company called us on Wednesday, Sept. 15th, less than 48 before we were supposed to arrive, and canceled our trip. We were devastated, stressed, and scrambling to find another boat last minute. I called Colton and he was able to accommodate us and get us a boat on the same day we had our original reservation. Tim was our Capitan for the day and he was wonderful! Super fun and down-to-earth guy! Tim even provided a huge cooler with ice and bottled waters, cookies, a lilypad, speaker and allowed us to bring lunch on the boat. The weather was perfect, the boat was beautiful and spacious, and all of the girls had a blast! We were having so much fun that we even decided to extend our trip an hour when we were out on the water. 10 out of 10...5 stars, would highly recommend using ATX Wake Adventures for your next Lake Travis trip! A few months ago, I entered a contest sponsored by Loanables.com for a free 3 hour boat trip! I was shocked to receive an e-mail a few days later that I had won but even more amazed by the customer service I received from Loanables and ATX Wake Adventures who reached out to schedule the trip with us. It doesn't get any more personable, professional, or fun than Captain Colton. He was in the water early waiting for us, had the boat stocked with ice for drinks, wake boards, a tube, water ski's and anything else we wanted. He was very knowledgable of the lake, safety, and even coached a few of us back into our water sports as it had been awhile. I would highly recommend Colton if you ever want to get out on the lake with a group of friends. We had so much fun and ultimately felt like he wasn't just there as his job but there because he loved what he was doing. That made it even better!
