Second time using this company and what a complete 180... We booked a month in advance, and the night before, our captain Nico messaged to confirm details. The morning of, he texted that there might be inclement weather, but said we could still set sail if we were willing. With several out-of-towners here for a special occasion, we asked if it would be safe. He assured us it was our choice, so we confirmed, because we weren't going to let a little rain ruin our parade! On our way to the dock, I got another message from Nico: he would be late and we'd need to either reschedule or get a refund. I asked if another captain was available or we'd be willing to wait for him, but he said they were limited and started giving excuses. He said he'd issue a refund, but never did. It wasn't until I contacted the company directly that the refund was processed. The company apologized on his behalf, and even offered a discount for the next time, but the experience left us frustrated and disappointed. I don't know what their hiring process looks like, but captains should be vetted more carefully! read more

Quite literally the worst experience I've ever had with a boat company. When we got to the dock, there was no boat waiting for us and I tried messaging their customer service and they were unresponsive for 30 minutes. At 11:30, we finally got a text back and they said that our captain had no called no showed. After going back and forth with the rudest person, I'm assuming the manager, they ended up cancelling our entire trip when we asked for some sort of compensation and made it seem like it was our fault. I'm pretty sure they delete their bad reviews on their website because it seems like the other captains we talked to do not like this company and I can't blame them. My brother, nephew, and I did a fishing tour with Tide Up. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the lake, showed us several fishing techniques, and helped us catch some nice sized fish. He spent extra time with my nephew showing him how to use his bait caster. He even let us use his high quality rods and bait to fish with, as ours were sub-par at best.
