I had a friend that lived across the street from this park for years and just recently had a family reunion in one of their rec rooms. Big open space, nice meeting rooms for not a lot of dough and it has lots of recreation options. Plus you can hook up to a couple trails from here (High Line and one other - can't remember the name).

There is a port-a-potty in the parking lot as well as a clean restroom in the Recreation Center. I only noticed one trash can and it was noticeably full of bottle and beer cans along all 18 holes with regular trash. The course is wide open with a few small trees. Quite a few little streams and small lakes to dip into. This was my first disc course that I have reviewed in the Denver area so I'm not sure how to compare. I am also just an average and semi-avid disc golfer. Check out the pictures I took for the best feel.

I went to watch a senior softball game, so some people had difficulty getting from the lot on University down to the ball field. Another issue that surprised me was that the ball field was not very well kept. Although chalk outlines were new, the bases were not securely affixed to the ground, and there were uneven areas, including some holes. This caused some players to fall.

It has multiple playgrounds, ball fields, tennis courts and pavilions. Motorized traffic can enter on University street next to Goodson Rec Center. Pedestrians and Bicycles can use the popular Highland Canal Trail that intersects and traverses several sections of the park. I really enjoy every time I come here and intend to come here much more.

Ruby Hill is a park on the south west side of Denver and is known for being one of the more steeper…read moreparks in the metro area. Climbing to the top of the hill will boast fantastic views of Downtown Denver and its amazing skyline. In the summer there is a dirt bike park where kids can bring their little BMX and mountain bikes and jump the man made hills. In the winter, Ruby Hill is known for sledding, and on sunny winter days the hills will be packed with kids sledding down the hill all day long. Also like many other parks in Denver, the entrance(s) have been blocked off to vehicular traffic in favor of a safer and more enjoyable environment for pedestrians and cyclists.

There is a large barn like pavilion that has restrooms and a drinking fountain. Next to the barn is a large playground for the kids along with walking and biking trails. There is even a community garden to which all the food grown here goes to a local food bank. A great place to visit.

There was and still is, a splash pad here, and we would bring picnic lunches and meet friends for a fun day. This time it looks like a remodel/expansion took place, as I noticed how big it's gotten when I was here for a quiet evening walk. I bet when the weather is nice, it is crowded all the time! I'd bring my kids here if they were still little. Looks very friendly, open, and accessible to everyone as I noted the stairs as well as ramps on my walk.

It has soft green grass, tall shade trees and what appears to be new playground equipment. I went here for a community picnic and everybody had a great time. This is a good park to visit while in the area.

The small playground is geared more toward younger kiddos, with cute car-shaped spring riders, swings, and a little tunnel. Nearby you'll find a bike trail, grassy field, and a small creek. Seating and shade are limited--there's one bench and a gazebo with a picnic table and a grill. It's a nice local spot overall, just could use a little more upkeep--the trash was overflowing during our visit, and with the warm weather, there was unfortunately a bit of an unpleasant odor.
