This park is so pretty and has changed a great deal from when I brought my own kids here years ago when we were still contemplating life in the suburbs. There was and still is, a splash pad here, and we would bring picnic lunches and meet friends for a fun day. This time it looks like a remodel/expansion took place, as I noticed how big it's gotten when I was here for a quiet evening walk. I bet when the weather is nice, it is crowded all the time! I'd bring my kids here if they were still little. Looks very friendly, open, and accessible to everyone as I noted the stairs as well as ramps on my walk. read more

Always on the hunt for epic playgrounds for my toddler to enjoy, I was excited to check out Centennial Center Park which isn't too far from my house. Tucked away off of busy Arapahoe Road, it's a nice escape with so much to love. As I mentioned, we were here for the playground and it did not disappoint. There are many different play areas for kids of all ages to enjoy. Since mine is quite little, we mainly took advantage of the swings and some of the smaller slides. There was a fun sandbox that we'll check out next time but it was occupied while we were there. I can't wait to keep bringing her back because I know she's going to love the bigger slides and jungle gym built out of ropes as she gets older. Not to mention the splash pad which will be a hit in the summer. Besides the playground, there is an open plaza and green space for picnics, an amphitheater which would be nice for intimate concerts, picnic tables galore, and other scenic spots to chill. It did get pretty busy as the morning went on, although it said there's a max capacity of 25 people (but not sure who is counting). There's also a big parking lot but most of it was being used for a COVID testing site #2020 Overall, we'll definitely come back when we're looking for a fun outing and the weather is nice. read more

Our kids LOVE this park. The park itself is epic with features for every age and ability. It's super ADA friendly - especially for grandparents trying to watch the kids play - and the water features are insane. The kids love playing in the splashing features and with the mini lazy river that is perfect for floating toys. But every year we look forward to the holiday artisan market. The chance to meet and pet the mounted patrol horses, love on the police therapy dogs in training, snack on yummy free treats (cookies, peppermint bark, hot cocoa, and more), meet Santa, listen to cute school choirs perform, and walk through the vendors. This park is so fun! It has so many offerings for kids of all ages. The splash pad is perfect and I love the little river that runs through it. A lot of shady areas and cabanas to have a picnic as well. By the splash pad there is a grassy area covered in the shade to watch your kids. There's a bigger playground and one for smaller children. Also noticed the sandbox and sand toys. Truly one of my new favorite parks. It looks like they're also adding some additional areas that were under construction. read more

This park is great, big kid playground, little kid playground, awesome splash pad and plenty of shade. However, we must have hit an EXTREMELY busy day because there had to be 150 kids (not counting their parents) and it didn't feel safe having little ones playing in the splash pad area. My two year old got pummeled and knocked to the ground by a 12 year oldish kid that was with a field trip group. Way too many kids here to actually enjoy it. read more

Centennial did a great job with this park. There's plenty of space here with a giant playground and even a splash pad going in the summer. My favorite part about the park is the amphitheater area. I've been here for multiple different events the city of Centennial holds. I've been to the annual Brew N Que a couple years in a row now and it's always a good time. In the summer they have all sorts of other events like laser light shows, movie nights, car shows, etc. read more

I love this park and so does my daughter but the only reason I'm giving it three stars is because they contracted out somebody to repaint the water park area who has his radio blasting listening to Rush Limbaugh. I could care less who someone supports politically, I just think it's highly inappropriate to have this playing at a park where parents come to enjoy time with their kids and we are unable to because he has the radio up so loud that we can't even enjoy it peacefully. Last thing I want to hear when I came here to enjoy the outdoors is rRush Limbaugh bashing Biden. Even if it was a station bashing Trump, it's highly inappropriate. I don't understand why the city would allow this to happen. read more

The Centennial Center Park is located right next to the Centennial City Center. The park is more of just a playground. No huge bike trails (for example). What it does do, it does well. The park has multiple shelters with gas fireplaces. Some are reminiscent of a coffee shot (bar, stools, modern look). You can reserve these shelters, I hear for about $40 per hour. The playground has both a toddler area (smaller equipment) as well as a larger kid play area. The big area has a two story (or is it 3) structure that attaches to the parking lot area. It is quite cool. They also have a great rope area where kids can climb to their hearts content. Other key elements to the main playground are swings, and these "push or bounce" rides (I have no idea what they are called). From Memorial day to Labor day there is a water/splash background. It is awesome, and my kid can't wait until it is ready. It is beautiful, it is fun, and its better than anything I experienced while on a recent vacation to Sea World (Their splash ground was pretty weak). The toddler area has a cool sandbox and a dino dig (bones buried in sand). Very fun. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that no self respecting toddler will stay in the toddler area. The exit from the play structure to the parking lot is a concern. read more

It's free and very convenient to Denver and surrounding areas. Nice families and plenty of room to have a picnic in the grassy areas. You can also reserve the covered space for a birthday party. Love this park! The new "grass" installed in the water area is extremely sharp, you have to wear shoes for sure also a blanket to sit on. A lot of the splash pad squirts we're not working especially all of the little ones for the little guys :/ my son loves the sandbox and the little car. They could have a smaller toddler area, with littler slides in my opinion. Overall great space just needs a little TLC. It makes me wish I were a smaller person again because it's packed with boatloads of fun such as... + The splash park with tons of fountains, watering flowers, and even a little river running through it + The "rock" climbing wall that leads to a big slide back down. My four year old will do this no less than 100 times in a row. + The tree house that specifically says kids only or something along those lines + The small kids area + The crazy rope climbing area + All the picnic areas We first came here for a birthday party and since that first visit I'm asked at least once a week if we can go back. It definitely gets crowded, but party is ample and people are pretty friendly. I only wish it were a closer drive to my house, but that certainly doesn't stop us from heading there on the regular! read more

SPLASH PARK IS CLOSED. Sad that Splash Park is closed for the 2021 summer season. This was our favorite splash park. We went a couple of days ago and was told the Splash Park was broken. I called their main number and was told it is closed for the whole 2021 Summer Season. Not sure why they can't get it up and running but it was a big disappointment for the kiddoes. I still gave the park 4 stars because it has a nice playground and is a great park overall, and they sometimes have wonderful live music concerts. read more

Rope jungle gym, massive multi-story fort, rock climbing wall, slides, swings, toddler area, splash park, covered area, shade sails, benches, tables, sand area, grassy areas, ... really just a great park. Decent parking by the Centennial Town Hall / Civic Center etc ... and street parking down below the park area ... The only hard thing is trying to keep track on more than one child ... or maybe even just one ... on a nice summer day it is crazy down there!! read more

Oh the many of parks of Denver... This one does not disappoint! So many features to enjoy... From the large playground & spider web (for the big kids), playground for the toddlers along with a small water feature, sand area for the little ones, and the Giant Splash Pad (with artificial grass, nicely shaded for the adults). You could definitely enjoy a morning or afternoon here! Pack some snacks/lunch, slather on the sunscreen, and make sure the kiddos have their bathing suits. Another great feature is a shaded area (Large Shelter) with about 8 tables/benches. Perfect for a large get-together. And another area called the "Coffee Shelter" with tables and seats (and a fireplace? Something for when it gets super cold) which would be another great spot for a get-together! What a great find! Centennial has done a wonderful job with this park. Tons of play equipment for the kids and even a water park between Memorial Day and Labor Day. There is a path surrounding the park with informational kiosks and blue scopes showing and explaining various mountains off in the distance. An amphitheater is under construction at the moment. I assume the amphitheater was not part of the original plans for the park, since a new column completely blocks the view of one of the kiosks. Oops! Maybe the kiosk(s) will be moved? Or maybe they will stay for comedic effect. read more

Love this park! It's great for kids of all ages. They have a big splash pad, a sand pit, a dinosaur dig, and playgrounds of all sizes. From little tots to big kids! They have an amphitheater which would be cool to see a show at. We thought about renting out the space for $150 for my sons birthday. It's one of the best parks near us! read more

What a gem! Such a great gathering spot that has truly added to the Centennial and south metro community. I've been here for several events throughout the summer- most recently the 1st annual Brews n Ques. For only $15, you received 10 samples from local craft breweries (4 oz each). Do the math- that's 40 oz of beer for $15!!! Additionally, the event organizers have done well in recruiting great food trucks and vendors for each event. There's a stage and natural grass seating for entertainment. We've seen several acts, from bluegrass to 80's cover bands- and it's definitely a great spot to relax and enjoy yourself. Plus- the views of the mountains and sunsets are great. read more

We love this park! It has such a great splash pad for the younger kids and a great climbing structure for the older kids! It is always packed and they have fun events during the summer! The restrooms were revamped last summer and it was a great improvement. They are doing some more minor construction now, so a few things are fenced off, but I appreciate the constant improvement. read more

Best park I have been in Denver. The details in the park is so unique and different from other parks I have been to. There is one slide built into the walls that the older kids use as a water slide. The tree house is so cute with three levels for the children to play on. There is a smaller play are for toddlers and babies. There's a sand play pit and plenty of seating and shaded areas. It is summer and the heat eventually takes a toll on my mentality so the water park was the highlight for me. The water park felt clean and cool. The water did not feel like urine was being splashed back at me like other water play areas I have been to. My baby sister had a fun time and if she had a smile on her face, it satisfies my heart. read more

This is a cute little park. Not much for walking, per se. But it definitely seems to be geared towards little kids as there is a splash park with lots of water features, a rock climbing wall, a tree house and slides. It looks pretty fun! I've been here the past two times for the Scleroderma Stepping Out for A Cure Walk, which was previously a 5k, but no way to do that at this park. Nevertheless, the setup at this park is pretty sweet. There's a small outdoor amphitheatre, lots of picnic tables, benches and shaded areas. There's even a spot that's slightly off the paved path with some beautiful flowers and a Botanical Gardens flagstone. read more

This is an awesome park. There's so much for kids to do here. Water park, little kid area, big slide, etc. My son has a fantastic time every time we go. We had his birthday there last year and it was great, the kids could pick what they wanted to go do. It's a little big so it's kind of hard to keep an eye on them, I'd advise multiple adults to watch the kids at a party. I'd also suggest reserving a place, or getting there very early, for a party. It's a little expensive to reserve, but would probably make things much easier on you. read more

Can't say enough good things about this park. We were visiting Denver and came M-F during school season so probably not a peak time for crowds. It is worth driving to if you need a place to kill some time with young kids. Amazing playground! My kids especially liked playing on the rope course. The rock wall was a hit too. Interesting facts about Colorado are written on the stones around the park. Yay for city of Centennial for creating such an incredible play space! Awesome playground areas, multiple for varying ages and interests. Fantastic splash pad/sprinkler area where kids can get wet and parents don't have to worry about drowning! I like that they put a shade up over the grassy hill overlooking the splash pad, and wish there was more shade around. However, all the picnic tables/ party areas are shaded which is very nice. Bathrooms are clean and well-maintained too. One thing that concerns me is that there is not one place you can stand as a parent and see the whole park/playground. So, for me with a 7 year old wanting to climb in the bigger playground, and a 2 year old needing the smaller playground, it's hard to keep an eye on them both at the same time. This place gets crowded, but it's because it's that good. So, bring enough adults for a good parent-kid ratio, and you'll guarantee yourself a relatively stress-free visit AND happy kids. read more
