This Skate Park, is a little tricky to find, from the Main Road. Furthermore, its was a "hidden…read moreaway". But if you follow some directions, i.e. I-25 South to West (right) on Hampden (Hwy 285) to South (left) on Federal Blvd to West (right) on Oxford Ave. Turn right at the first driveway after Hazel CT. This is the entrance to Sheridan High School. Follow the parking lot, take a right, go along at side of the school, turn left into the Skatepark parking lot. This park is also known as Sheridan Community Park because its located at North of Sheridan Recreation Center's parking lot. There is also a Playground and Sheridan Recreation Center nearby. Hubs and I were here coz Hubs wanted to skate. That evening was on Friday August 23rd 2013. Yes, the Skate Park have a couple of rails, a decent size to skate around without bumping to another skater what nots. There is a shelther nearby too. But when we were there, unfortunately the Washroom available at this Community Skate Park were locked. Nevertheless, we dont mind returning when needed. I am a little confused coz for one, when its in GOOGLE Maps, this Skate Park is mapped as Sheridan, CO 80110, while through the South Suburban Parks and Recreation website, this Skate Park is labeled as, in Denver, CO 80236. @177/2013

You can either come for the day or plan a camping/boat trip here. If you plan on camping you really need to make reservations in advance. The spots fill up pretty fast. Lots of places to fish and you can even do paddle boarding, ride your bike, sun bathe, hike, whatever outdoorsy thing you like. This place is not too far from Denver and a gem. I highly recommend this state park.

Mule deer are present in abundance. Be careful if you enter the park after dark. It's DARK!!Slow down and stay alert. The site we had was right by the shower/laundry facility in D area. We had a mule deer in the juniper in front of our site the night of our arrival. It was good but it did have daily traffic at the facility. Plus a common trail runs directly next. Convenient but not only to you. FHU sites worked as expected. Consistent power and good water pressure. Septic was threaded and sealed. Easy site entry/exit and setup. Laundry takes quarters. Machine to dispense said quarters is disabled due to theft. The office don't seem to have quarter rolls. Yeah, bring your own from in town. You need to reserve these early which makes it hard to stay at CO state parks, period. Also don't forget you need a SP annual pass or a per day admission fee. Do the math.

The supervisor Brenna was made aware and offered another instructor (Alyza) who scheduled then no-showed for the appointment, later claimed an emergency. We sat at the pool for some time, ironically while Brenna LeBlanc, supervisor walked past us several times, never saying a word. It was not until I complained and demanded a refund at the front desk that Brenna Le Blanc was called and mumbled some sad apologies before TURNING AND WALKING AWAY.
