This is the first time I had an original ring designed, though. I worked with Marino Costello on the design process. As an anniversary gift, my husband wanted to buy me a ring, but I decided that I couldn't give up my original engagement ring and wedding band so I had a new ring designed utilizing the diamonds. The process was interesting. I looked at rings in the jewelry store to get an idea of what I wanted and then we proceeded to the design process, Marino sending me CAD drawings and then a wax ring was made where I tried it on to get an idea of the design and dimensions. My new ring is gorgeous! Marino is a fabulous designer and so easy to work with. I appreciated his attention to detail and his quick responses to my emails. The design process was fun. I love that Marino designed such a special ring where I still have the original diamonds that my husband gave me 20 years ago. I highly recommend Costello Jewelry!

Their prices are a bit high, but look for coupons in some of the local coupon fliers. Also selling the scrap metal offset the cost somewhat, so if you have anything you're not wearing, why not get a few bucks out of it? Overall, very pleased with the service and quality. Turnover time was about a week on mine; mom is also still waiting for them to source a stone to fit a setting where she lost the original one (which could take time, of course).

Kevin's wife greeted all of us (including the kids) immediately upon walking in and offered us refreshments while browsing. While we weren't originally looking for a custom ring, Kevin and his wife helped us see what could be done within our budget and within our timeframe. Not once were we ever made to feel like our budget was insufficient. At no point in time did we ever feel like we were "being had" or like we were dealing with a "used car salesman". Kevin walked us through options, made recommendations, and even showed us some stones he had on site. He explained the things he looked for when selecting stones, settings, etc...and patiently answered all of our questions. There was a bit of a hiccup in the final delivery of our ring but Kevin managed to get everything sorted out and really went out of his way to do right by us. The hiccup wasn't anything catastrophic but Kevin's efforts were definitely welcome and much appreciated! He really went the extra mile to provide absolutely amazing customer service.
