This is the first time I had an original ring designed, though. I worked with Marino Costello on the design process. As an anniversary gift, my husband wanted to buy me a ring, but I decided that I couldn't give up my original engagement ring and wedding band so I had a new ring designed utilizing the diamonds. The process was interesting. I looked at rings in the jewelry store to get an idea of what I wanted and then we proceeded to the design process, Marino sending me CAD drawings and then a wax ring was made where I tried it on to get an idea of the design and dimensions. My new ring is gorgeous! Marino is a fabulous designer and so easy to work with. I appreciated his attention to detail and his quick responses to my emails. The design process was fun. I love that Marino designed such a special ring where I still have the original diamonds that my husband gave me 20 years ago. I highly recommend Costello Jewelry!

Also selling the scrap metal offset the cost somewhat, so if you have anything you're not wearing, why not get a few bucks out of it? Overall, very pleased with the service and quality. Turnover time was about a week on mine; mom is also still waiting for them to source a stone to fit a setting where she lost the original one (which could take time, of course).
