I was…read moreimpressed at how responsive they were and how much time and effort they put in to searching for a slab for me. This is a small business and I am happy that I not only supported a small biz but got individualized attention and quality work out of it. Due to labor shortages they were down to 2 people in the shop and 2 people to install from 14. That didn't stop them from making sure my job was done to perfection. The owner of the business did the install himself with one other person and stayed until 9pm to make sure my counter looked perfect before leaving. I know from working with them so much trying to find the slab of my dreams that they work long hours... I was astonished that it very clearly did not effect the time and effort put into my particular job.

Finally installed the tiled backsplash to show off the countertop Arika installed last year. We…read morewent from the 1960s island Formica kitchen layout to a modern Quartz Gally layout. The "Before and "After" photos are obvious.

Steven from Stately came in, was so personable and nice, listened to what we wanted to do, was very complimentary to our ideas and left us feeling at ease on our project. When his bid came in, we had no reservation to say yes to him! And Stately totally delivered. They were there on time, told us every thing being done in the process, each of the guys were fun and personable, and they ended each day by totally cleaning everywhere they worked. They made a very expensive project fun and easy. Steven even took over the painting after we had an issue with our painters. We added things on and he did them for us. We even said after their last day here, we missed them. A wonderful experience and we can't recommend them enough.

Bill Leiker of the Virchau Co., is as good as it gets when you want a trustworthy and capable…read morecontractor to handle a construction project. He responded to my call quickly in March when we took ownership of an older house with good bones in need of a lot of TLC. I was impressed with the positive comments given by past references who described how he hung the moon. (Now I am another on that list.) The work was a few projects, including a gut job on the bathroom and kitchen that had him removing a partial wall separating our kitchen from the dining room to create more light and an open plan, replacing old electrics, replacing all molding, moving door jams, insulating walls, installing new kitchen cabinets from Kitchen World (which are great), and overseeing the work of the hardwood floor sander, plumber, and licensed electricians. For the bathroom, they removed 7,000 lbs. of lath, tile, plumbing, and materials from our 1940 original bathroom and created a beautiful new one that really complements the period of our house. I'm glad to share pictures with anybody. His prices are very fair. Bill's team are hard working guys who show up at 7:30 and work a full day with professional demeanor. They clean up each day. Bill took care of a few extra smaller projects that needed doing and it made me feel great. His team gives the kind of service that shows they care about how you'll live in the space, and it's refreshing. I'd recommend his work wholeheartedly.

The other granite companies took my information and it took 3-4 days to get back to me with an estimate. They have a huge selection and were happy to pull slabs out for me to view. Once I made the decision to have them do the job, they scheduled the measurement, & the following day for me to review how the granite would be cut. They also scheduled my installation date at the same time & the job was done very quickly. Everyone I dealt with was very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend them!

I willingly paid for the measuring consult, but when I cancel the slab order, I was hit with a $980 restocking fee. This was never mentioned when I initially inquired about the refund, in the event I changed my mind, once again, for any reason. This is not a trustworthy company, they are the only ones in the area that charge a restocking fee. All of the other slab companies have told me that they just keep the slab, and are confident they will resell it. Apparently Italian marble likes to double dip as I'm sure they turned around and resold the slab and immediately made a $980 profit on it. Stay far away from them. The Granite Shop in Wheatfield is a great place to get slabs. Check them out instead of this ripoff place.
