The only thing I wished was if the pepperoni slices were a bit thicker because it was paper thin like. We also shared a combo basket appetizer which you can choose 3 kinds of items. We chose the fried zucchini sticks (my favorite), fried mushrooms, and jalapeño poppers (cream cheese). It came with 2 tubs of ranch dressing. Definitely good pizzeria. Dining was clean and the menus were sanitized. Bathrooms were very clean too. And the service was fantastic.

I had driven my Gelsosomo's several times in Valparaiso. I had noticed the sign for lunch buffet…read moreseveral times and told myself I had to give it a try. What I saw was I felt like one of the saddest looking buffets I've ever seen. The buffet was 2 tables pushed together, a bowl of salad, a basket of breadsticks, individual marinara sauces, and 2 or 3 very large pizzas under a heat lamp. The presentation may not have been great but it turned out to be better than it looked. The ranch for the salad seemed to be made in house. When the pizza was freshly put on the buffet, the pizza was great. If it had been sitting under the heat lamp, it was not desirable as it was hard to chew. The price was ok for $12 with a water. I scratched that itch. I would order a pizza next time from Gelsosomo's instead of doing a buffet.

This outlet lacks the full service meat counter that I've enjoyed in Mount Greenwood, but they still offer high quality pizza setups, and a small number of related items. Important note: they sell the ingredients - you have to assemble the pizza and cook it. On November 18, 2022, I ordered their 12 inch sausage pizza setup which gave me enough ingredients for three 12 inch pizzas. (I also picked up a serving of Tiramisu out of their cooler). The total cost was $31.94, which included a small charge for my use of a credit card. That seemed like a great price for three pizzas plus a dessert treat. When I cooked the first pizza at home, I added some mushrooms and onions, so it took about five minutes longer than the suggested twenty minute cooking time. But it was WELL worth it. Best pizza that I've had in quite some time. I don't know how often I will buy the three-pizza setup, because it's just my wife and I at home. But I do intend to visit frequently to pick up ingredients for some great pizza. If only they picked a place with better parking... this location is right on the square, just south of the old court house, on the southwest corner of Joliet Street and Main Street. Like any business on the square, parking is a big problem. But it is worth the trip!

There are 3 Hispanic gentlemen that work there and always provide great customer service, even when it is busy. They definitely are committed and loyal to their jobs. The pizza is great for a franchised quick service pizza place Thin, foldable slices that is the epitome of obvious New York style. Of course, this being Northwest Indiana; you might not be a fan of that. I'm a pizza lover and don't mind me some deep dish or some thin crust. It can be questionable to eat somewhere where the pizzas do sit out for a bit of time, even if they are tossed in a scorching hot oven for a few minutes so I do understand that concern. If you want a fresh pizza or slice, make sure you go during peak hours so you don't have that pizza that might have been sitting out for a bit. The prices are somewhat high, but even McDonalds inside a mall is higher than typical. That is to be expected Expect 2 slices of pizza, 2 breadsticks, and a drink to set you back $8-9.

We also ordered the Spinach Mozzi to share. The service was great. The woman that served us our food was pleasant and helpful. The woman that checked us out made our drinks and also was very nice with a good attitude. We ate there at the food court and as usual Sbarro's did not disappoint. The pizza was hot and fresh. There was an adequate amount of toppings, light sauce (the way I like it), and yummy crust. The Spinach Mozzi was a first time try. It was delicious. It was a soft pita like roll filled with lots of spinach, cheeses, and spices (not spicy-just spices). Very pleased and full. Looking forward to another visit.

Unbelievable experience!…read more We had heard so many great things about Albano's and went for the first time with very high expectations. We thought it would be good but we didn't expect to have our very high expectation blown away! For starters, we enjoyed the super generous order of meatballs. Though each bite was so delicious, we could not finish them for fear of not being able to enjoy our entree. The order is 4 very large meatballs served with arugula and cheese in this very tasty sauce. We each had one and opted to take the other two home. (Reheated is just as delicious as freshly made!) The homemade bread served with their amazing sauce makes it quite the challenge to not eat all of it! Combined with the meatballs, we were already loving everything! Already starting to feel somewhat full, we opted to share the lasagna entree. Fully expecting that each of our plates would be a small portion, when the plates were served it was hard to believe that each plate was half the entree. A half serving was larger than a full serving at other establishments! Wow! It was THEE BEST lasagna either of us has had! Each bite packed so much flavor that was so pleasing to the palate yet not overwhelming. Albanos also has a great ambiance and nice selection of wines that pair so well with the flavors of whatever you opt to enjoy for your meal. While the food was over the top amazing and will definitely prompt us to return regularly, what made the entire experience even more memorable, enjoyable and refreshing was the service! Our server was super attentive, helpful and ever so friendly and welcoming. Then, the attention we received from the owner Nick Albano was incredible. He shared his upbringing, his philosophy about truly caring for others via the meals he prepares and the service patrons receive, and he was kind enough to wish us happy 35th anniversary! We also love that he sources ingredients himself and the changing menu is a reflection of the freshest ingredients he finds. His generous and genuine wishes included some special and unexpected treatments and truly underscored his humility. Already excited to visit there again, we cannot say enough wonderful things about Albano's! 100/10 !

No exaggeration to say a single order of their tortellini and a Caesar salad could feed an entire table of four who are hungry. The quantity is only surpassed by the quality. Yeah, yeah, I know they are #4 in the country but it took those idiots 7 years to figure out what I knew 7-8 years ago. This is the big secret no one will tell you, this pasta is freshly rolled daily and the recipes for the sauces are taken straight from Rachel Ray's very own cookbook(inside joke).
