Despite the rush, the wait wasn't long at all, and the staff was super friendly. I had trouble choosing a seasonal drink because they all looked amazing. It was really helpful that they display photos of each drink along with the ingredient list inside the shop. The staff mentioned that the Oblea Latte is the fan favorite, so I went with that. It was prepared very quickly. The coffee flavor was quite strong; I think if it had just a touch more dulce de leche syrup, it would be a solid 10 out of 10. Parking Note: There is a paid lot available right across the street, plus a designated spot directly in front for free 15-minute parking. Once inside, I realized they're still in their soft opening phase, having friends and family test things out before the grand opening. Even so, the staff could not have been sweeter -- they welcomed the public in to try some of their drinks and coffee, which was such a nice surprise. I ordered the peanut butter latte and a biscotti, and both were excellent. The espresso was super smooth and balanced perfectly with the peanut butter flavor -- not too sweet, just really well done. The biscotti was also amazing, and I heard they source it from a well-known biscotti spot in Pennsylvania. Their pastries are locally made too, which is always a plus. Really excited to come back and try more of the menu once they officially open. Fanwood definitely has something special coming!

The flavor was subtle and perfectly balanced -- not too sweet and not too bland. I really hope they consider adding this one to the regular menu because I would definitely order it again. The cafe itself is small and cozy, and they have a separate meeting room where you can close the door and sit together. That was a big plus for us and makes it a great spot for a work or business meeting. Overall, we had a really nice first experience. Service: I was warmly welcomed by the only employee working at the time (I'll update this review with his name later). Even while managing the café solo, he took the time to answer my questions, offer recommendations, and made me feel genuinely welcome. What I Ordered: I had the salmon toast, and it was excellent. The bread was perfectly toasted with just the right crunch while still staying soft inside. The sauce pulled everything together, and I appreciated him mentioning he was still refining the recipe--it's already one I'd order again.
