Is this place accessible friendly?

It's basically a street vendor in a small shack, usually with lines stretching out the door. There's a heavy glass door and a tight entryway which are not absolutely ideal for wheelchair access (although I'm sure it must be ADA compliant) There's… Read more

5-Stars to this Whataburger!…read more I came in through the drive-through for a quick bite to eat on the road. As everyone that knows Whataburger knows, Your order is always made to order, so they are not always the fastest fast food restaurant around. But this particular location of Whataburger seems to have it down! They were busy, but I was still in and out with fresh hot fast food in less than five minutes. Everything was delicious and my hashbrowns were perfectly crisped! Review #2120

My 3rd review, from my recent trip to Dallas, was actually my first stop after I landed. I got to…read moreDallas around 11pm. What's open at 11pm? Whataburger. Now, there has always been a big debate of which is better: In N Out or Whataburger. Being from California, I think everyone thinks I'm automatically going to vote for In N Out. But more on that later. Let's talk about Whataburger first. Before this trip, I actually had Whataburger once or twice before. Those times, I got a regular Whataburger, a patty melt, fries, etc. This time, I tried the sweet and spicy burger and the jalapeno and cheese one, as well. First, the jalapeno and cheese was good. The perfect amount of jalapenos without being too spicy. The beef patty was seasoned pretty good. Now, the sweet and spicy burger was even better. In fact, I will say that this is probably my favorite option so far. The sauce wasn't as sweet as a regular BBQ sauce (still sweet though) and it was the perfect amount of spiciness. Together with the fries and a large root beer, it was the perfect way to end a long day of work and then flying. Now, let's talk about the comparison. Is Whataburger better than In N Out? Quite simply, no. To me, I just think the comparison should be more towards Burger King. On the other hand, Whataburger blows BK out of the water. And, I actually like Burger King! Maybe it's just me being a homer, but In N Out is, for me, the very definition of comfort food (the burger, that is. Not the fries, because those suck). My burger EXPERIENCE rankings (not just the burger, but the whole meal): 1a - In N Out - Like I said, burger is phenomenal, but fries suck. The customization options are simple, but change the experience. 1b - Shake Shack - Quality is just as good as In N Out, but the fries are better. Also, can't beat the frozen custard. 2 - Five Guys - The best fries!! Also, while the burgers are great, don't sleep on the BLT. 3 - McDonalds - I'm pretty vanilla when it comes to McDonalds. The 2 cheeseburger meal is all I need. With extra pickles of course. However, the new Cheesy Bacon Jalapeno QPC is actually really good! Also, make sure to download and use the app. Their rewards add up really fast and the deals aren't too bad (BOGO breakfast sandwiches FTW). 4 - Whataburger 5 - The rest. However, plus points for any place that has a fried egg as an option.

....... NOT WORTH $20 ...... Horrible experience. I'm was…read morethe only one in the place at 5:40pm on a Saturday... that worried me. The guy at the counter was cleaning the ice cream area and let me stand at the order area 3 min (6ft away) and never spoke to me. Guys in the kitchen came out to help me instead. The oldest employee was about 22 - no adult manager. Burger: Ordered bacon cheeseburger with double lettuce and ketchup. Total fail - mine was the only burger to cook in the entire place!!! Had mayo dripping off the sides, no bacon, no ketchup. Sent it back for a total remake. Instead they simply replaced the lettuce and top bun. Ketchup was skimpy - only covered 1/2 of bun - in the center. Meat was ok, nothing special and no salt or pepper. Skinny Fries/extra crispy: Good but unsalted. Atmosphere: Little retro vibe, small but plenty of seating. Only have Pepsi products, tea - but a really good lemonade! (That's what to get!) Overall: So-so and definitely not worth the $20 I spent. NEVER order togo - who knows what you will get!! Not going back. (It was 30 min before another customer arrived... go figure.) It's not bad. I won't go again because there are better options nearby, but it's okay. The burger I…read moregot, "The Original", is basically a single patty with lots of high-calorie sauce at about $8. It's much pricier than a double-double from In-N-Out, and worse on the waistline at almost 800 calories. Again, it's not bad, and tasted good, but two hours after eating I still feel weighed down in a way different from other burger joints. The location itself is a good one if you've got a group of friends who want to eat a burger inside rather than at In-N-Out, which is just down the road. So if you're walking around the Firewheel shopping area, it might be a convenient option. I just wouldn't go there expecting the best burger in the nearby area.

First off, the name they claim for this location, isn't the name on the sign. The *actual*…read moreLouisiana "Famous" Fried Chicken is in Dallas. This is just Louisiana Fried Chicken, you can see there is another entry in here with that name and the reviews are not nearly as kind. Service was perfectly fine, the place is small but seemed clean enough. There endeth the passable things. I ordered spicy fried chicken 3pc (LWT), red beans and rice and a pint of gumbo (holy trinity, chicken, sausage, crab and shrimp - more on that to come and it isn't good). Those are a trinity for me, if you will, when sampling and then judging Louisiana fried chicken places. So, Enter Sandman... I got food poisoning, which is an automatic 1. I don't like to give them out, but for extreme circumstances; this being one of those circumstances. The food: The fried chicken was not golden brown it was dark brown, which says old oil/grease. It was bitter, but edible. I ordered spicy, and if they consider whatever I got as spicy, they need to dial it up. I detected no spice. The lady at the counter asked if I wanted hot sauce, I said yes, but it didn't meander its way into my order. The red beans and rice... I don't know what kind of black roux they use and how hard they cook the rice for it to be this mushy. It smelled like it should be good, but I had to add my own Cajun seasoning and some Tobasco to liven it up, even still it was more of, "I paid for it so I'm going to eat it" at this point. Popeye's RB&R is WAY better, and that Popeye's on the corner isn't even a good Popeye's. Now what I believe to be the criminal, the file seafood, chicken, sausage (note I didn't say Andouille, because this was straight up garbage Eckrich). It was a pint, and it was almost black (me assuming because they made a file gumbo, now I'm not so sure). It was packed with a thick mush of *mostly*, onion, celery and green pepper. Scattered among them were stringy pieces of boiled chicken, 2 or 3 pieces of sausage, I did not identify if there was indeed any crab in there because I never saw it and two soggy ass fried shrimp on top. I should've just tossed the whole thing in hindsight. I did pitch the shrimp. I didn't trust how they looked. I dumped the pint (it had that odd colored overcooked rice too), i added quite a bit of water, brought it to a boil, reduced to simmer. I had to add seasoning to this as well as some tobasco. I ate about 1/3 of it or so, then just pitched the rest. *a few hours later (said in that French accent you're now reading it in)* I'm pounding Nauzene, and pounding the toilet. Let's say, oh... about 8 -9 hours? The easiest way to explain how long. As the very unpleasantries began, I put on John Wick, I watched all 4 before finally being *done* and able to go to bed about 0500. Suffice to say, I will not be back. I give this two thumbs down and a raspberry.
