We have been to Augusto's in the past many times. It is a very quaint little restaurant with good food. Don't know what happened tonight. The appetizers were a joke. Waiter told us about a special Langostino appetizer so we ordered it. There were 6 in our party. The plate came out with ONE shrimp for $25. The octopus was mostly a bed or beans with two small pieces of octopus. The entrees were good but it was a disappointing experience given what we remember from Augusto's. My husband and I have been meaning to try this place out for a long time after hearing many rave reviews. We finally got there and we were not disappointed. Service was fast, friendly, and down to earth. The food was great! My husband's filet was perfectly cooked and flavorful, my ciopinno was excellent and generous. The pasta is clearly homemade and the dish was beautiful. I got a house salad that they provide for any meal and my husband got the Caesar - they were art on a plate. It's a BYOB so we splurged on two desserts to share and ordered bread pudding and creme brûlée - they were both unbelievable but if you like bread pudding you NEED to have this one. We will definitely be back! And we did go back - wow again! I got the lamb chops and DH got the New York strip special. Unbelievable. The fish had dark hair in it. The water had little black and grey floating matter, my fork had food crust embedded between the forks. No place to wait inside Diner type establishment which should be investigated and closed from the health department. The temperature inside was not acceptable and cold air blowing on my neck. Parking is horrendous and park at your own risk. The bread was so hard it seemed like it was microwaved and heated up more than 3 times. Our plates were chipped with sharp edges . McDonalds should take over and be more responsible for this Diner type establishment. Whoever the owner is they need to go to cooking school . Recommend this place to be Permanent Closed . This place is freakin' incredible. Atmosphere is understated and elegant. Vibe is dressy casual with the service of a $$$$$$$ establishment. My favorites are the onion brûlée appetizer (Carmelized onion stuffed with crabmeat), the lamb (with pumpkin risotto!) and lobster ravioli. The salad they include with every meal is also delicious. Everything is beautifully presented and just delicious. Dessert is also amazing- I had the cinnamon roll cheesecake with was decadent but not too heavy. Highly recommend this BYOB! read more

The unimposing building blends into the neighborhood and may give you the impression that this establishment is not as good as it really is. Don't let that turn you away. On what planet does this guy live?... Is it unheard of for a woman to take, should I say it, two male customers to lunch and pick up the tab? I ate here last night. First off, I had a friend give me a gift certificate that expired last December, they chose to honor it which is the first star! The service was great, 2nd star! The appetizers (Lobster Bisque, Calamari were great, 3rd star! Dinner (Scallops for 2 of us and my wife ordered Salmon) was great, did I tell you about the scallops-BUTTER! (We didn't try any meat plates as it was good Friday and we are Catholic) 4th star! The owner/manager was very accommodating and desert, which I was too stuffed to order was great (as told by my wife and stepson) 5th star! No I do not work here, this was my first trip and I am quite embarrassed at having this gift certificate sit in my cabinet for a year and 1/2 and not using it. We had curbside pickup tonight. Augusto's was one of our places to dine for a gourmet meal. Always great food and service. Take out was just as delicious. A must have every time is the onion brûlée. It lost nothing on take out. Delicious!! I had the summer gnocchi and my husband the cioppino. He always loves their cioppino. First time I had the summer gnocchi. It was superb!! Went out for date night with my husband and we love this place. This was our third time here and they always bring their A game. Very romantic. We had reservations for 515pm but we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. It's is a BYOB. They start off with bread and prepared two spreads to dip. The first was a carrot and the second was a vidalia onion. I had the poached pear salad to start and then my entree I ordered the special filet and crab cake. The filet was cooked medium which is how it should be prepared and the crab cake came with a horseradish sauce, finished with string bean carrot combo and mashed potatoes. My husband and I dined at Augusto's for the first time 4/22/21. Although staffing was short the service was ok. Never received the second rolls we requested. We ordered the price fix $44 special and paid $8 extra for the fish of the day Wahoo. The food was delicious... BUT having never eaten Wahoo before we did not know what we were in for! No one advised us about Wahoo also as we now know called the "ex lax" fish although the waiter went into detail about the taste and preparation! We both have underlying GI issues and never would have ordered it had we known about it. Both of us had SEVERE issues the next day. Since we both ate exactly the same thing we called to let them known that we possibly had gotten food poisoning. That is when we were told about this fish. In fact whoever answered the phone told us to Google it so they obviously were aware of the consequences but just told just during the call and NOT when we ordered it that some people were "sensitive" to it. He offered no apology in the lack of warning. The fish's actual name is Escolar and is a member of the mackerel family. It is banned in some countries and Japan ( who serves poisonous puffer fish) considers it TOXIC. The FDA banned it in the 1990's and several years later pulled back and just said it was recommended not to be marketed in interstate commerce. Since it is a pelagic fish I highly doubt it was caught in Pennsylvania. We believe it was highly irresponsible for this restaurant to serve this fish without any warning if at all. The morale of my story is...Don't eat Wahoo (also called walu, ono, butterfish and white tuna). We will not be going back to Augusto's due to their irresponsibility. read more

My friend and I chose this place based on reviews because it is a halfway point for us to meet. I'm so thankful we found it!!! What a gem!!! First, from the outside you don't think it's much, but walk in and the smell of the amazing food takes you over. It's a quaint place that was an old home remodeled to a restaurant. Frankie greeted us immediately and was such a delight! We were seated early for our 7:30 reservation. It's a BYOB which helps save some cash, love bringing my own bottle. They knew we were celebrating my birthday and brought me a single rose-what a special touch. Dinner was spectacular-they had many specials to choose from. We started with the tuna tartare which was a unique preparation and oh so good. We then had delightful small salads that comes with the meal, served in a house made tomato vinaigrette. Delicious and the perfect portion. I had the snapper on special and my friend the cipollini with home made pasta. We cleaned our plates. We ended the meal with a coconut vanilla bread pudding-to die for. Overall service was fantastic, food superb- a wonderfully evening! I HIGHLY recommend this place-I will be back!!! read more

We visited on my birthday, 4/23/15. It was about 6 p.m. on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was empty, although a party of about 8 or 10 eventually came in. The ambience was quiet and romantic, with nice paintings on the wall. I enjoyed a most delicious shrimp risotto. As a nice touch, I was given a small bouquet of pretty teacup roses to acknowledge my birthday. A nice little place. We would visit again. read more

I was taken here by my boyfriend for my birthday, which just happens to be on Valentines day. This was unfortunate timing because everyone else in the area was trying to impress their girlfriends with this "classy" place. The only reason we went was because we had a gift certificate. Everything I ate was horrible. Their olive oil tasted rank, which was just a chain reaction, because everything was smothered in it, from the bread to the entree. This place has really gone downhill. It used to be our local go to place for special occasions but we won't be returning. The bread they serve is poor quality and was served to us stale and cold. Onion brulee was OK. Their house salad is still pretty good. I ordered the lobster ravioli that I used to love and was so disappointed. I think they are using frozen ravioli instead of making them fresh. And the shrimp in the sauce were the little tiny cheap kind that I'd never buy or expect to see at a better quality restaurant. I went to Augusto's with my husband, my son, and his girlfriend. The atmosphere is very cozy but be careful when you order. I had the lobster bisque which I shared with my husband. According to him it tasted great but was disappointing because it was a shrimp bisque and should have been identified as such. The salmon was wonderful. I mistakenly got the wrong dessert which was the lava cake. The waiter indicated that it was the better dessert to get but I thought I was getting the bread pudding. When I mentioned this he just brushed me off. It probably was my fault but I think he could have at least said he was sorry. Where is the customer service in that? In conclusion, the entrees are wonderful. Everyone enjoyed them but I would avoid the lobster bisque and be careful that you don't make any mistakes or complaints as you will probably be ignored. read more

Small little BYOB in the middle of Warminster. Just perfect for a Friday night dinner and wine. Came here on a date with my girlfriend and her beautiful mom. Within the first few minutes I noticed how friendly everyone is and we spoke to the manager several times about the food and recommendations. For starters we had tuna tar tar which was good along with a salad. For entree I was recommended the crab cakes which I was told are their best seller. They were delicious , very flavorful, full of crab meat and not loaded with salt or bread. A+ for the crab cakes. We also ordered lamb chops and they were really good. First time we dined here (for dinner) since new to the area. Upon parking we were greated with a horrible rancid smell in the parking lot from the Restaurants overflown trash area but we put that aside and didn't let it ruin the anticipation of a new restaurant find. Inside the restaruant was so dark it was difficult to read the menu. Service, okay, our waiter didn't really say anything other then can I take your order and do you need anything else. Ceasar salad was good, salmon was gray in color and burnt on bottom, needless to say I couldn't finish it and was not asked if they could prepare the meal again or get me a different dish. We tried Augusto's for the first time last night. It's tucked away on a side street so not much chance you'll happen upon it unless you are looking. I have to say, location is the only downside. The service was perfect and the food delicious. We were the first ones there on a Tuesday night and greeted warmly the minute we stepped in. The atmosphere is fine dining but cozy. BYOB which is nice and they'll bring you whatever type of glass you'd like for your beverage. Freshly baked rolls (extra crispy crust makes extra crumbs which are carefully swept away by polite staff) and onion and mushroom purée for dipping. I would have liked some seasoning there, maybe rosemary, to add to the flavor but that's just my preference. Then we tried the lobster bisque, served table side which is an elegant touch. It was just the right amount of creaminess without taking away from the lobster flavor. The onion brûlée was nicely browned on top, adding a tasty smokiness to the onion stuffed with crab. For our Main dishes, we chose the lamb and the seafood risotto. The lamb was cooked just right, over asparagus, green beans, and carrots. The risotto was very creamy, the mussels, clams and shrimp were good but the calamari did get a little overcooked. Definitely solid dishes. For dessert we chose the white chocolate coconut bread pudding. Omg that is fantastic! If you like coconut, this is your dish. Served warm and soft topped with ice cream. Sooo good!!! Very nice spot tucked away in Warminster. I love how it is BYOB. Defiantly a great place for a date, but we saw some big parties as well. The dinning room is very quite. It is definatly old school dining, but done right. Not in some cheesy 80s way. It was probably one of the best steaks I have had outside of Philadelphia. Also, my wife, who is a pasta lover, loved her seafood pasta. It is a special occasion spot. Be ready to drop some dough. But we didn't mind, the meal was fabulous. We will be back. read more

My daughter and I decided to treat ourselves the other night and chose to have dinner at Augusto's. I'm so glad we did. We shared the calamari, which was delicious. We couldn't go on enough about the sauces. We both ordered the filet mignon which came with a house salad in a cucumber "bowl." Our filets, served on a bed of vegetable/mushroom risotto, were perfectly cooked and so flavorful. For dessert, it was tiramisu and a mocha cheesecake.
