Purchased a 2025 Kia K4 in November 2024. Our car was totaled and then paid off December 2025. My husband and I regrettably went back to Kia Auffenberg under a time crunch to repurchase a new vehicle. Auffenberg refused to honor the price we paid November 2024 for the exact same vehicle, 1 year 2 months later. Mind you, this would be the 3 vehicles previously purchased from them, and zero care or consideration given. Not to mention, Steve- working at Kia, is the most unprofessional and rude sales person there. I would recommend working with someone else entirely if you even attempt car shopping. He doesn't air out after chain smoking outside, and he will call you stupid if he doesn't understand what you're talking about. He is not professional, and I would be embarrassed to have Steve work for any business of mine. Just because he can sell you a car doesn't mean it's worth the reputation Auffenberg is creating with people like Steve. With that all said, three separate and equally awful experiences with Auffenberg in 2023, 2024, and again January 2026. We learned our lesson - do not buy there or you'll be met with predatory practices. We were literally discouraged to leave a review unless it was good because it only directly affects the sales people who worked with us. Steve needs to be fired, and Auffenberg should really have better business practices. I hope our next brand new car purchasing experience is better than what Auffenberg failed to provide on three separate occasions. Our community deserves better! read more

I had one loan with kia that went well this time kia financing took two $8,000.00 payments without my permission then I went to dealership they said they would make sure on 12-11-2025 this year they would make sure they handled it for me so would get refund owed me for the overdraft they took. Now 12-27-2025 i was given notice from credit bureau i owed another 12,169.00. This sad that I was told no one at kia finance would tell my credit bureau it was not true I had a zero balance. So I called three times today to get it settled. I also found out I have moneys coming back from Bryan at Ford so he handled the refund on the warranty and service contract. But couldn't do anything about the twelve thousand one hundred sixty nine dollars listed at credit bureau. But car is paid off. Sad. read more

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Sales Manager Brian Brawley My husband and I recently visited Auffenberg Kia to address a battery issue that, per corporate documentation, was still under warranty. The battery had only 20% life remaining, as confirmed by their own technician. Despite presenting valid proof of warranty coverage, we were asked to wait nearly three hours without any updates or resolution. During this time, Sales Manager Brian Brawley--who had initially stated he would look into the matter--remained in his office socializing with colleagues rather than addressing our concern. When my husband politely approached him for an update, Mr. Brawley responded in an unprofessional and dismissive manner, stating, "He's not purchasing a battery," and referencing the price of our vehicle, which was completely irrelevant to the warranty issue. The situation escalated when Mr. Brawley began raising his voice and approaching my husband in an aggressive manner. I intervened to de-escalate, only to be met with further hostility. He shouted that he could not speak with me because the car was not in my name, which is both inaccurate and inappropriate--especially considering we are married and jointly responsible for the vehicle. At this point, a family member on FaceTime began recording the interaction as Mr. Brawley continued to yell and use inappropriate language. My husband returned to the room after seeing Mr. Brawley in my face, and the situation deteriorated further. Mr. Brawley then called the authorities, falsely accused my husband of damaging dealership property, and had us trespassed from the premises. After contacting Kia Corporate, we received confirmation that the battery was indeed under warranty and should have been replaced at no cost. The claim that the warranty was invalid due to the vehicle being purchased in another state was also confirmed to be false. This experience was not only frustrating but deeply disappointing. It is unclear why a sales manager was involved in a service-related issue, especially one he was clearly unqualified to handle. Mr. Brawley's conduct was unprofessional, confrontational, and completely unacceptable. I strongly urge Auffenberg Kia to reevaluate the roles and training of their staff, particularly those in customer-facing leadership positions. Based on this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this dealership to others. read more

I am VERY disappointed in the service department. I'm sure someone from Auffenberg will hop on here and respond by saying I'm just upset that my extended warranty company won't pay for mechanical repairs right now, but that is not what I'm upset about. In fact, one of the only kind and helpful people at this awful place is their service manager, Dave, who took the time to explain why they weren't covering those repairs. Brad, on the other hand, takes the prize of being the worst service advisor I've ever had the displeasure of working with. That saddens me, because the first time I worked with him, I thought he did an excellent job and thanked him profusely. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I've never had to use my extended warranty before, so I was not aware of how that process works. My car had been making a noise, and I asked if their service department would take a look at it during an appointment I made for routine maintenance. They identified the issue (an expensive one), but I remembered my extended warranty and sent it to Brad. The next text I got from him (just hours later!) was telling me my car was finished and my bill went from an estimated ~$5000 down to ~$1500. I was elated! I thought that he had contacted the warranty company, got everything approved, and all was fixed. Flash forward: My oil light was flashing, and my door handles needed fixed, so I figured I would take it back to Auffenberg. I'd started hearing that same noise again too, and wanted them to look into that. When I called about that, I first asked if they had any service loaners because the problem took a few days last time. Whoever answered very condescendingly said "we do, but there are people getting their whole engines replaced right now, so I don't know if we would have one for you," like my problem didn't matter. Cool, thanks. Then he says he needs to put me on hold for a few minutes because something on my account didn't look right. A few minutes later, it's Brad on the phone, telling me those repairs weren't made last time. He literally said "communication is hard" and we must have had a miscommunication somewhere along the line about those repairs. I don't know why on earth anyone would go through the effort of locating their service contract and sending it to their service advisor for them to... do nothing with it? What? So, I take my car back to Auffenberg. I learn about how extended warranty companies have to do their own inspection (makes sense, but I didn't know that before). Brad has the audacity to say to me that "Normally an extended warranty company has an inspector come out and do an inspection. Not CNA! They have me doing someone else's work." That response didn't instill much confidence in Brad's inspection, but they had my car, so I had to wait for their response. They declined fixing the control arm problem that I thought was already fixed. Brad's less than helpful explanation was they said they won't fix something just because it's making a noise. I am very grateful that the service manager, Dave, took the time to explain to me WHY that is, and I accepted that answer because he treated me like a person who is capable of understanding something. Dave was great. Interestingly enough, CNA (warranty company) said there wasn't a video attached to the virtual inspection, only pictures. I informed Brad of this and he said he sent photos and videos. I'm not sure if that was a lie or not, but here are some lies Brad DID tell me: 1) We had to wait to see what CNA said about giving me a service loaner, and if one is available. Availability? That's fine, I get that. But my extended warranty company has nothing to do with being given an Auffenberg service loaner. 2) My replacement door handles would be flat black, and I would have to wait 3-4 weeks for them to be painted to match my car, because Auffenberg doesn't have a contract with a body shop that can paint things right now, excluding the work that needs done so they can fix up used vehicles to sell. Weird, but okay. Luckily, my car has flat black trim, so I said that would be fine. I wanted functionality back the most, and flat black wouldn't look bad with the trim. Well, when I picked up my car, the handles were shiny gray. Brad made no mention of this to me. Another service advisor, Robyn, who was *wonderful* to me, explained that they actually don't know what color the handles that Kia ships would even be before they get there. So why would Brad lie about that? I wouldn't have agreed to gray. When Robyn asked Brad (he was on break when I was there) what could be done, he said to tell me I need to take it to a body shop now. Uh, no. I know they have someone who can paint things. He said so. Unless that was also a lie? But Auffenberg needs to sell used cars to make money, so I assume he was telling the truth there. I also had to deal with their unresponsive sales dept. when they offered to buy my car, but that's for another review. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! I have had several issues with Auffenberg as a whole, but this last one is the straw that breaks the camels back. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN! I have purchased 3 vehicles with Auffenberg Kia, Ford North and the pre owned lot. This particular instance is absolutely infuriating and I refuse to go back. So in ONE VISIT this is the list of issues: -My car keys taken home by an irresponsible mechanic causing personal strife -Oil life not being reset, despite explicitly requesting that be done and it being noted in the ticket (for the 5th time in a row) -Being led to believe Kia can do the repairs needed (not true) -Being told Auffenberg would reach out to my insurance, and they DID NOT (Causing over two week delay in repairs being made) -No receipt or proof of work being done to my vehicle I took my Kia K5 up there to be serviced (oil change, tire rotation etc) and I also noted that someone had tried breaking into my car and they broke both passenger windows and there was some damage to the door. I requested an estimate to repair the damages for my insurance. I dropped my car off at the scheduled time of 8am and by 4pm I had not heard anything. I called up there and spoke to Paige (one of the advisors) and she told me that the mechanic that worked on my vehicle had taken my car keys home with him and the mechanic was not answering his phone, so I had to wait until the next day to pick up my vehicle. I was understanding of "accidents happen" and I was annoyed but things happen. I picked up my car and my oil life had not been reset for the 5th time in a row, even though I noted explicitly to make sure they reset the oil life. At this point I am more agitated but still understanding. Paige told me that she would contact my insurance company regarding the repairs to the windows and door. Fast forward TWO WEEKS and I still have not heard anything from Paige. I called my insurance broker and she said she had not received anything from Auffenberg. I called up to Kia and one of the other advisors told me "I dont see anything in the notes about insurance, and we dont do body work here....You will need to take it to Auffenberg Ford South in Belleville." So not only did Paige NOT do what she told me she would do, She didn't even bother to send me the proper information, nor was I provided a receipt of my service. If I had not reached out to my insurance agent, nothing would have been done! I truly regret spending almost $30,000 purchasing vehicles from Auffenberg, on top of the several thousands for repairs for my vehicles. read more

This is going to a long read but necessary. I regret not reading reviews before bringing my Forte to this establishment. To set the record straight I know my vehicle is older with high mileage (95,000) and I know this is about the time things start to break and need to be replaced. With that being said I wonder if these things that happened after taking my vehicle for a simple anti theft upgrade weren't coincidental. The day after bringing my vehicle to get the software upgrade, my vehicle would no longer start. After getting a jump and going to auto zone, they informed me that my fairly new battery that was a year old is testing bad... thankfully I had a warranty and was able to get a replacement. This was understandable, weather was getting cold and things happen. Then things get interesting. About a week ago, a little less than a month after getting the upgrade, my electric powered steering "breaks". I took my forte in again for a $170 diagnostic that determined the entire steering column was broken and needed to be replaced. After receiving a quote for over $3000 I accepted the work thinking this was the only solution. 10 min after accepting the work for a little over $3000, I check the website containing the quote again and see that it has now been changed to over $6000. I texted Justin asking if there was a mistake and he confirmed there was no mistake and that this was the price. As this was not what I agreed to, I texted and called for over 30 min trying to cancel the work but was put on hold and ignored. It took my mom (with an unknown number to them) to call and cancel the work. Besides that happening, I was also quoted for work on the vehicle that did not need to be done. When I asked why my spark plugs that I changed last year needed to be replaced, I was told that the system checks to see if the vehicle had been serviced at Auffenberg for things based off of the cars mileage. Why not actually check these things first before adding to the bill? I wonder how many people just accept the work without thinking twice and they never actually needed it. When I asked for an itemized list of parts with prices required to resolve the steering issue, I received "part quote to repair power steering issues" with no actual part names. Shouldn't I know exactly what needs to be replaced? At the end of the day, only one component needed to be replaced to fix the powered steering, which cost $230. Everyone has different experiences but be cautious taking your vehicle here for services. read more

After my last review, the manager kindly called me to apologize. He also gave me three free oil changes. And the service agents have been a lot less pushy since. But yesterday, I again had a bad experience, on my third free oil change. At their recommendation, I got my AC serviced. Now my car smells like it has an air freshener in it, which is bad because of respiratory issues in my family. I called them today, and they said it'll take 1-2 weeks to go away. Just in time for our road trip. Ugh. And, adding insult to injury, they estimated one hour, and I was there for 2.5. I made arrangements to drop car off just before service department opened for my 7:15am appointment. 2:30pm I messaged my tech and no response. 2:55pm I called and my car hadn't been looked at, I was off at 3pm. He drove around parking lot and didn't hear anything. Service department Wanted to give my car back and come back tomorrow. At this point it was 3:30 and I missed my 4pm appointment as it took 40 minutes to get there. The tech said he could hear but couldn't find a thing wrong with car. When I was dropped off (as I missed my 3pm ride) as they had to get to their own appointment. My tech stated well we couldn't find anything but if I were to throw a dart it could be a gasket or something. Seriously?!?! Now I'm extremely nervous for my commute to work as the sound in the engine area is still there. Everyone I've spoke to re Auffenberg has had the same type of issue, soon I'm buying a new car and will not be from AUFFENBERG. Doug is helpful but felt he was limited on what he can do. Why make a 7:15 Am appointment and not even look at car until 3pm and offer at least a loaner and keep until can find the gasket or issue. Not drive around the lot while I am on hold for 2 minutes and say we don't hear anything. Not Doug's fault it's an often made error in everyone I sought a ride from. No you shouldn't have charged me as nothing was done. Sadly you're not trying to make it right. I haven't shared how the sale took place a year ago from the Auffenberg Hyundai dealership. I needed to help my father purchase a new vehicle. Through a series of events we ended up at Auffenberg Kia and ended up purchasing a new vehicle that we weren't even looking for. Why? The salesman was super nice and the vehicle turned out to be the right thing. Without going into a lot of detail we looked at it on a Monday and came back on Tuesday to buy. The salesman wasn't in yet and we ended up sitting down with another salesman and the dealership tacked a $995 protection package onto the vehicle. For anyone who does not know you do not have to pay for anything that isn't on the sticker price. You have free will and you can take your business elsewhere. That is what we would have done had the original salesman not gotten involved and made the problem go away. I'd return here but I would eye the deal very carefully. read more

Don't scam trusting customers into services that are 100% not necessary!! Since it's the dealership, I would assume they would recommend appropriate services. Brought my Kia Carnival in for an oil change at 33k miles and was told "your fluids are due for maintenance- we can do a coolant and transmission flush." I know next to nothing about cars. Again, I would assume that they would only be telling me what is on the normal maintenance schedule. I also was not given an estimate of the cost. Since they were very busy, I agreed to the services, assuming it would be a similar pricing to an oil change. I am aware I should have inquired about the cost. I was told services would take 1.5-2hrs. After more than 3 hours, it was finally done. I was SHOCKED to see my bill at nearly $700!!! After leaving the dealership, I checked my owners manual to see that coolant exchange is not needed until 120k miles, and a transmission fluid exchange is NEVER needed. Bought a brand new 2024 Kia telluride SX Xline here.. I had a 23 that I built and I couldn't find one just like it closer to home and I ran across this online Tanner assured me I was coming to the RIGHT place.. blah blah BLAHHH! He didn't even setup everything as far as the media and such in the car.. I was told I would get a 300 referral bonus if I sent anyone and it didn't have to be Tanner himself... and I did a month later and NOTHING... GO FIGURE! I sat down with the finance guy when I got my car and I purchased the tired and wheel package and I stayed I needed "the package that would cover curb damage and such" well got curb damage.. they lied he said I didn't have that package... window got a chip, tried to get it fixed I was told it didn't cover that either to later on here from KIA that it should have but I've cancelled that warranty out so I no longer have it but I had gotten it fixed anyways! Then here I am in August the window trim on the driver side, driver and passenger door has came off and I was told it's not covered! What a FUCKING JOKE.. I called KIA and they said it is covered in the 36k mile warranty that comes with the car.. so we'll see come tomorrow when I drive and hour and a half to get an oil change.. which I was told I'd get free car wash's when I come and no service person besides Paige has given it to me and the time she did the car wash was down. These ppl are liars and not to mention rude.. when I do come in to get services they will literally continue to hold a conversation with their coworkers before greeting you. Unfortunately I bought the service package with them so I'll be utilizing them at least to get my moneys worth.. if you plan on buying THINK twice, especially if you have to travel to get there. read more

O.M.G.. We purchased a 2024 KIA Teluride in November 2023. Steve Maxwell helped my wife and I get the exact vehicle that we wanted. Steve found the KIA Teluride at another dealer and got the KIA that we wanted and we were and was able to pick it up the next day. We were Jeep and Chrysler owners for more than nearly two decades but due to recent unbearable increases for Jeep Grand Cherokee loaded models, we decided to look for other vehicles that had all the bells and whistles that we desired. Consumer Reports listed the 2024 Teluride as the top model in SUVs that we desired. We were very happy to have Steve Maxwell be our salesman. I am an 83 year old who has Parkinson's and he helped us getting the add on features that would help me get a wheelchair lift and work through the processes that were required to make this the vehicle that permitted me to finally be able to experience mobility after 3 years of being or in a lift chair looking at the world outside. This has provided me with the capability to go places that were previously challenging for me. He has been very patient with the questions that we ran into to make this purchase enjoyable. Though it took longer than I would have liked the tint in the rear window has been removed and I can see amazingly out of it! I also now have a spare key, which for the flip out keys in my opinion is very important since they do have a tendency to snap in two. I'm loving my new car and still learning things about it. For future customers I hope they do a better job of staying in contact if there are things that were agreed upon as part of the purchase of a vehicle it will go a long way for improving their reputation. read more

I have had my car for 6 years, bought new from this dealer. For 3 of those years I have had issues with my audio unit. I have provided videos, had them reproduce the issue and still they tell me they can not fix it. On top of all of this, the frequently close my ticket for service and rarely return my phone calls. Scammed me out of $200! Told Ashley to inspect and advice me on parking brake adjustment. She called me and said $200 to sand and adjust. I TOLD HER NO and for some reason I got charged anyway. Work was never performed because brake still won't hold on my driveway. Last visit they charged me for tire rotation but It was not done. I also asked for a car wash which never happened. We bought. A brand new Kia Telluride about a year and half ago. Sale went good. However, the service shop has been terrible I am required to get the auto butler service and no one ever calls me back to get an appt. this last time I called once a week for a month and a half and no one returned my call. I had to reach out to two different managers to get them to call me back. Now they are saying I can not get auto butler and oil change done on the same day. So I have to leave my car with them for two separate full days and they provide no car service to take my to where I need to go. I live an hour away so I have to find rides and other things to get to work. I do not recommend Auffenberg at all. read more

I did not purchase my vehicle from this location but its the closest one to me, so I brought Kia in for a diagnostics due to a knocking noise from the engine. It was recommend that my engine getting replaced due to a broken rod inside. I am out of my Kia warranty however I do have an extended warranty. Since my warranty company had to send out their own inspector, Kia had to stay for a few days. Joe arranged a rental for me and kept me updated on the status. Advising me what was needed for the inspector and making copies of Kia's maintenance records. I ended up having to pay for the diagnostics ($180.00) due to my claim being denied. After speaking again with Joe and Kevin (service manager) they both were very helpful on what I needed to appeal the claim. I have been back and forth to Kia over the last 3 months dealing with this, finally getting my claim approved. Joe again made sure to keep me updated on the status Kia's repair. They were more then helpful and Kia got her engine replaced and is running smoothy. At the end of the day.. I will return for any repairs and when looking to purchase Kia a new sibling, spouse or friend. read more
