They screwed into the headlight itself to make it seem like it was fine.

Deceptive Sales, Incompetent Repairs, and Abysmal Customer Service - Avoid at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. Auffenberg O'Fallon Jeep is nothing short of a scam operation, selling misrepresented vehicles and providing some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I purchased a car from them that was blatantly misrepresented as having a clean Carfax and no accident history--but it didn't take long to realize that was an outright lie. The car had clear and obvious signs of extensive front-end damage. The most damning evidence? The headlight was being held in place with ZIP TIES and screws jammed into places they didn't belong. ZIP TIES. This was not a minor issue--it was a slap in the face to any customer expecting honesty and basic mechanical competence. When I went to replace the headlight assembly, I had to literally bend back part of the mount just to get the new headlight to fit properly. This means whoever "fixed" this car either had no idea what they were doing or just didn't care. And the dealership either ignored it or actively covered it up. But wait--it gets worse! When I called to address the issue, the sales associate talked over me the entire time, dismissing my concerns with, "Well, I didn't sell you the car, so it's not my problem." That's the level of professionalism you can expect from Auffenberg O'Fallon Jeep. And as for their management? Nonexistent. I have tried multiple times to contact the manager, leaving messages, and he has not even bothered to reach out. Apparently, once they have your money, your business and concerns no longer matter. Auffenberg O'Fallon Jeep is either staffed by completely incompetent mechanics or they are knowingly running a con. Either way, they have no business selling cars. If you value honesty, integrity, and basic customer service, STAY FAR AWAY. There are plenty of dealerships that won't take your money and run. This place is a disgrace.

Spark plugs left in my engine compartment

Auffenberg has always provided exceptional service, but I can in for for routine maintenance and well it was sadly hazardous. My spark plugs were changed but all 16 were left loose in my engine compartment and an electric socket wrench was left next to my battery. I left and drove like this for hours. Thank God nothing happened. You can't make this stuff up. Double check their QA/QC. I'm sure if they didn't lose a tool, I wouldn't have known 16 spark plugs were loose on my engine compartment.

Then on the 20th of January, I had an accessory installed and the service department as well as the parts department made the job go quickly and effortlessly. I would recommend my family, and friends use this outstanding dealership for any of their automotive needs.

At 1:00 in the afternoon we chose a car and were going to pay cash. They said it would be 30 minutes to go through the paperwork to finish this deal. 4:15 pm still waiting (this cost us literally $1000. based on our hourly rates and they wanted us to just...come back...it's our son's birthday 40 minutes one way...ah no) The Manager Cory Reno was rude and combative. I said if I ran my business like them I wouldn't have a business...his response "oh we are far from that" not "yeah I am so sorry". Our sales person went into hiding. The only person that made an effort was a gentleman named John Hollenkamp who offered to bring the car and paperwork to our house. Thanks for ruining the surprise Auffenberg but thank you John Hollenkamp, you understand service he is why there is a single star. Don't buy a car here unless you can spend a day waiting to pay cash. Part 2 We reached out to them 3 times for paperwork on service history they promised to copy and deliver..no response. We went to get the car inspected and it failed due to fuel pump 1700. They told us we were getting gaslighted by the folks who have serviced our cars for years who also provided the diagnostic testing (which cost me 200). They recommend we get a second opinion (another 200) or that with full trust we bring it back to them, where they would also charged me a diagnostic fee (probably another 200) and then charge us likely 1600-1700 for the repair. This by far has been the worst customer experience of my life. These people understand exactly what they are doing...I literally felt like I was talking to Danny Divito in Matilda. The gentleman I spoke to John Hollenkamp said hey if you got it inspected within the first 7 days it would have passed . Like what? They didn't give us a second set of keys which we also called multiple times about without a response. a 16 year old with one key and a push button start...we didn't want him to drive it until we had a second set. This dealership if full of non action in everyday possible. Run the other way any place but Auffenberg. Just think Matilda

In the search for the "Perfect" car I ended up exchanging calls, emails, and texts with nearly 20 dealerships from Florida to Colorado. I feel very fortunate that my search landed me with not just a return call, text, or email... but a return VIDEO directly from Randy with a walk around of the exact Expedition we were looking for and a demo of some of its cool features as well as his contact information to follow up with. Well, not only did Randy have the exact car we wanted at the best price I found after getting many dealer offers... they got me 0% financing and he delivered the car to me on a Sunday with a smile!!! The entire sales process with Randy and Auffenberg Ford was fantastic. If you are the kind of person that usually gets anxiety from the whole car buying experience, do yourself a huge favor and give Randy at Auffenberg a car. He's the guy that you would feel confident to send your mom to if she needed a car. Thank you Randy and team for everything and I may have to give you a call about a Bronco next year. ;)

However, we recently saw an excellent deal on a 2021 Nissan Rogue for our daughter and decided to move forward. We selected the vehicle, met with the finance representative, and completed all necessary paperwork, which we then submitted to our credit union for processing. When the Blue Book value came back lower than the price Auffenberg was requesting, we informed them immediately. Despite this, we were fully prepared to put down an additional payment to cover the difference our credit union would not finance. After nearly ten days of back-and-forth and resolving all concerns, we finally had the check in hand and were ready to complete the purchase. At that point, we were told that another customer was on the lot looking at the very vehicle we had already completed paperwork for, secured financing for, and were prepared to finalize. Shortly after, we learned the car had been sold to that individual. This was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and left a very poor impression. Our daughter needed reliable transportation for her internship, and after searching for more than a month, this vehicle was the perfect match, both in features and in price. To have it sold out from under us after we had done everything required was extremely frustrating and disheartening.

Auffenberg refused to honor the price we paid November 2024 for the exact same vehicle, 1 year 2 months later. Mind you, this would be the 3 vehicles previously purchased from them, and zero care or consideration given. Not to mention, Steve- working at Kia, is the most unprofessional and rude sales person there. I would recommend working with someone else entirely if you even attempt car shopping. He doesn't air out after chain smoking outside, and he will call you stupid if he doesn't understand what you're talking about. He is not professional, and I would be embarrassed to have Steve work for any business of mine. Just because he can sell you a car doesn't mean it's worth the reputation Auffenberg is creating with people like Steve. With that all said, three separate and equally awful experiences with Auffenberg in 2023, 2024, and again January 2026. We learned our lesson - do not buy there or you'll be met with predatory practices. We were literally discouraged to leave a review unless it was good because it only directly affects the sales people who worked with us. Steve needs to be fired, and Auffenberg should really have better business practices. I hope our next brand new car purchasing experience is better than what Auffenberg failed to provide on three separate occasions. Our community deserves better!
