My husband and I had never considered purchasing a car from Auffenberg, even though it's right around the corner from our home. However, we recently saw an excellent deal on a 2021 Nissan Rogue for our daughter and decided to move forward. We selected the vehicle, met with the finance representative, and completed all necessary paperwork, which we then submitted to our credit union for processing. When the Blue Book value came back lower than the price Auffenberg was requesting, we informed them immediately. Despite this, we were fully prepared to put down an additional payment to cover the difference our credit union would not finance. After nearly ten days of back-and-forth and resolving all concerns, we finally had the check in hand and were ready to complete the purchase. At that point, we were told that another customer was on the lot looking at the very vehicle we had already completed paperwork for, secured financing for, and were prepared to finalize. Shortly after, we learned the car had been sold to that individual. This was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and left a very poor impression. Our daughter needed reliable transportation for her internship, and after searching for more than a month, this vehicle was the perfect match, both in features and in price. I knew not to buy a vehicle there, but I will no longer take my truck there for any maintenance. I recently found a new ford raptor discounted on their website by $10,000. I spoke to the sales person and agreed to buy it for asking price. I was contacted by the sales manager and they stated that that was an incorrect price on auto trader and their website?? He said that he understood it was their mistake and agreed to sell it for invoice ($6000 off sticker). I waited for the paperwork to wire the money then the sales manager called back again and said he would not sell it for that now and it was sticker price. I know from working for dealerships in the past chevy trucks hqd to aligned at the dealer because they pulled to the right from factory and ford had some come from factory with broken hose clamps that we repaired before putting on the. so if they don't inspect the vehicles here then I wouldn't buy any new or used from. I've driven Ford for about 20 years, dealt with dealerships in Houston, Denver, Atlanta and Oklahoma and this is far and away the worst of them. Specifically, the service department which is always backed up and they rush through jobs. When I bought my first truck I brought it here for the first time for an oil change. I was turned away and told to set an appointment. So I did and a week later when I showed up they said they didn't have my information for the vehicle and were too busy to accept a new appointment. This was years ago and the service manager contacted me later that day to get me in and apologize for the miscommunication. On one visit, we were in town visiting family and my truck went into limp mode not a mile from the dealership and despite my previous experience I figured maybe they can at least pull the codes. Nope, too busy. Sorry. Chevy dealership next door pulled the code and had me on the road in less than an hour for $75. The last time they actually did warranty work and I trusted them (silly me) they left several components disconnected before returning it. My last visit felt predatory as they wanted nearly $500 to install a battery that cost me $220 and 10 minutes of my time. Still charged the $100 diagnostic because I had it towed there during a snowstorm. All in all, my father in law and I both drive to collinsville now to a competitor dealership. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. There is nothing this dealership could do to earn my trust or business. read more

Do not use this dealership to buy a car. whenever you need anything they don't return your phone calls or emails. But as soon as they need something from you they non stop call. Bought a car and 5 days later the engine light came on. I went back to the dealership to have them "fix it". Had my car for 2 days and when I asked when it would be done or a time frame they would said "I don't know". Not only did they make me pay for the part after I picked up the car from being "fixed" the light came back on less than 24 hours later. Pretty sure they didn't do anything to it. 3 weeks after I purchased the vehicle they called me saying I don't actually own it because they cashiers check I gave them was "not going through". After speaking with my bank they confirmed that the dealership most likely LOST my check. So I had to write them a new check and go all the way back to give it to them. EVERY interaction I have had with this dealership has been a deception. I bought a car from them which turned out to be a lemon. Thankfully I bought the warranty so when the engine needed to be replaced (after less than a year) they had to do it, but of course they tried to make it seem like I didn't have one. They told me that they did an inspection and topped off fluids, but the oil was completely empty, like they drained it but forgot to refill it. Today 11/8/2023 I was told my car had been fixed after much trouble (see previous review) got in the car and took it for a test drive. Clunks into gear/pulls really hard when put in gear. Shifts are still rough, sometimes hard, slipped out of gear on the on ramp. Car still hunts for idle and acts like it wants to die, idles rough. This time an employee witnessed it by driving it with me in the car. To sum it up nothing is better or been fixed. I was also told by Dave "it's just not throwing codes." Well, I got a full copy of the service records because this didn't make sense to me. I guess "not throwing codes" doesn't include Po5A1 - Active Grill Shutter Motor Po300-0020 Miss Fire Po316-00-60 Miss Fire on Start Po496-00-60 Purge Flow (Vacuum issue) TSB 22-2185 says to reprogram pcm has this been done ? Failed Battery test ? I am pissed. There is a power train warranty on this car, and every power train issue it's having is being danced around like a fiesta (pardon the pun) Just do the warranty work FFS The communication here is F Tier, none of these codes or issues were EVER communicated to me. I was told the car was fixed, now for the third time with absolutely nothing changing. That tells me the service department as a whole is either really used to driving raggedy crap, or got their certs from a cereal box. Service department gets C Tier but not because it's any better than the communication, but for clueless. The only people here that actually seem to care is Jack and the other gentleman at the front desk. They are both S Tier and I truly believe they care. The sad fact of the matter is, between the communication, out right lies, and conveniently left out information there's not a lot of faith left in me that this will be resolved. I was sold a lemon. We should have looked at these reviews prior to going to here. I would give them negative five stars if I could. We were completely taken advantage of. My husband and I were there to purchase our first family car as we were expecting a little one. So excited that we found a Ford 2020 Explorer ST with everything we needed and we were told that it had all new tires and it was in great condition. (a conversation that apparently never happened according to them) After a long session at the dealership going through all the paperwork work and being told the car was getting all cleaned up and ready for us we left the dealership with what we thought was an amazing purchase after 5 hours there. Little did we know that the "maintenance check" that they performed did not catch a very serious and obvious issue with driver side tire and the frame. After only a month of driving on these supposedly new tires, the drivers side tire kept losing air. At the this point in time my husband and I are remodeling a home and are dealing with a lot on our plate to prepare for our little one's arrival. We assumed there was just a leak or something with the tire and put off calling until we realized later on that the tire leaking air was a much larger issue. We called the dealership many times to discuss the issues and kept getting transferred and then sent to voicemail. We were not able to get a hold of anyone. We needed an oil change as well so I schedule this to be serviced and they examined the vehicle during this time as well. They reported the tire had a band showing!! These "new tires" had a band showing! They said that since the warranty time period had expired they weren't able to do anything about it except pay a portion of these very expensive tires. And the only reason we weren't able to get tires sooner and under warranty was because no one would return our calls or talk to us about our issues. They were very available when we're buying the car! But when there's issues they are no where to be found (leading us to believe they knew of these issues when we bought the car). On top of this I was driving on the highway with my son in the car and the tire blew leaving us stranded in a bad part of Saint Louis all due to being sold a car that was not in good condition even though we were told it was. (See pictures of tire below) The band showing was just the beginning of the issue. This car had a reported accident that we were aware of but on the Carfax report it was noted that it had been maintenanced leaving us to believe it was fixed and good to go. NOPE! The car has a twisted frame due to the accident which caused our tire issues. HOW WAS THIS NOT CAUGHT BY MAINTENANCE!!! We are absolutely blown away that the maintenance department did not catch this very obvious issue. We were only made aware after going Dobbs to replace the tire and get it aligned and they were unable to do so due to the frame. Today my husband went to the dealership to confront this issue and asked repeatedly to speak with the general manager and was denied. He spoke to the Sales Manager who was no help and talked in circles with the conclusion that they weren't going to do anything. Now we are debating going further into this issue with outside sources because we should not have to pay over a thousand dollars for these repairs when we were told the car was in great shape and good working condition. Overall extremely frustrating and we are never going back to purchase another vehicle. Still trying to figure out what our next steps are because we cannot keep driving the vehicle as it stands now. The dealership should be responsible for this and they couldn't care less based on what they haven't done to help us. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Spoke to sales manager Jon who was very nice promised to call back the next day, never heard from him. Sent two emails to management, no response. Went in to speak to them, was told someone would call back next day, nothing. Took truck to Broadway Ford, THEY apologized for the way Auffenberg had treated us and fixed the truck...THE FIRST TIME. We did have to pay $100 for service contract because after being jacked around for months by Auffenberg, the powertrain warranty was up. read more

I use this place a lot for my fusion. I have always had positive experiences here. However; it's been slacking the last couple of visits. I 100% understand that they are short staffed, as is every business. But, the smallest things are getting bypassed; ex: resetting my oil life. They also just put the new sticker sloppy over the other one and it looked trashy. I also had them look at my visor, if it was broken or fixable. They left it hanging by the wire and didn't offer to order a new one or anything. It was broken, but at least put it back how you found it, it was most definitely not hanging by the wire when I took it in. They also left my seats all jacked up, seats they shouldn't have even sat it. When I called to talk to the service tech that checked me in and out, he denied ever looking at my visor, therefore stating that it probably "fell" and was hanging there. I explained to him that I can drive down any road and it never just falls out, but got practically snapped at by said service tech. I asked if we could just get one ordered in so I can set up an appointment to get it actually fixed. I was told I'd have to go in to get it paid for because they have to create a ticket; even though they just looked at it yesterday. I even walked him to my car yesterday and looked at it with him. When I purchased this pre-owned vehicle (let me stress this was not a vehicle bought in an AS IS condition), the vehicle overheated due to the fan not engaging/working. This was more than a headache to get resolved, but to Auffenbergs credit, it did get resolved, but at the price of multiple trips all the way from Centralia and A LOT of waisted time (time=money). Unfortunately, that's not the main reason for the review I'm leaving. Please take a look at these photos and ask yourself, would you be happy buying a vehicle like this? I thought the moldings on the sides of the windshield posts wouldn't cost too much and I'd just take care of it myself-- This thought process was fueled by the amount of frustration that went into getting my vehicle in a safe drivable condition. When I brought this vehicle to my local shop to order the new trim pieces, all the shoddy work was pointed out to me. The cowl panel is completely exposed to the elements due to the cowl grille having nearly every single clip broken off on it, the weather stripping on the cowl grille is dry rotted, the weather stripping on both trim pieces are completely missing, (thus exposing my A pillars to the elements as well, the trim pieces have every clip broken, the inner brackets that the trim pieces clip into have every clip broken, AND THEY ARE GLUED ON WITH URETHANE (have fun getting that off without damaging the paint), and the weather stripping that goes around the windshield is dry rotted. Now, I can only assume that this work was performed by Auffenberg considering they are not only refusing to fix it, but how could ALL of this be possibly overlooked when checking the vehicle in? HOW? I will posting this review anywhere I can, Jason, the GSM, has been zero help and is one of the most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. He has really embodied the scummy stereotype of car salesman. Ridiculous, that's all I can say about this experience. Never again will I or my family buy anything Auffenberg. read more

I'm giving a 1 because a zero was not an option. I have had two negative experiences with service here. Both revolve around the service advisor, Dxxx, and recalls. When I brought my vehichle in for an oil change, Dxxx, informed me I needed new tires. I noted to him that only 2 tires were needing replacement. He spoke to me as if "oh boy here we go with a stupid female" attitude snd said "We require you to get all 4 at the same time." Funny thing here is I don't have an AWD vehichle. When I informed him my vehichle wasn't an AWD vehicle, he ugly says well I haven't check it out yet. REALLY! Trying to get me to spend money I didn't need. He literally tried to rip me off. Thank goodness I knew better. Now for todays episode. Over a week ago, I receive a recall on my on-going back up camera blue screen. The lady verified scheduling verified I had a recall, checked with parts and informed me that she could get me in on June 19th at 8:40 AM. I scheduled the appointment and informed them I would drop off my vehicle. I drive there this morning, and who is the advisor I get, yep Dxxx, again. I was praying for not another altercation with him because well I was dropping off for a scheduled recall. There is no fix on the back up camera at this time. He says good news is that I get my car back as there isn't a fix as of yet. I'm really peeved at this point. I ask him why they wasted my time, scheduled me if there was no fix. He asks if I have my letter on me. I informed him, I didn't think I would need it. He then asks me if I actually read the letter. Oh man the on this guy. I told him that he wasn't going to blame me for scheduling this appointment that the person scheduling should have informed me there was not a fix but they would follow up with me as soon as there was one. Blank stare is all I get from this advisor. Worst place I have ever dealt with in all my years of getting vehicles serviced. Dxxx needs to be fired or at least placed on a non-customer facing position and written up. I told him that I'm done with Ford. He states it's not Auffenberg's fault. The recall isn't but BAD service sure in the heck is. I told him I'm getting rid of this vehicle. He wanted to know if I wanted to go see someone in sales about trading it in. Absolutely do NOT buy from this dealership. They sold me a used car with issues. I contacted them within three days that I had noticed there were problems with the car. I then brought the car into them twice to have them look at it. the first time I arrived in the morning and waited around four hours only to be told they hadn't gotten to it yet. I had to leave because I, like most adults, am employed and I am also a graduate student. I arranged a new day to bring it in. Unfortunately, I woke up late and ill the morning we had arranged. I emailed them asking if I should bring in the car the same day or schedule a new day. They told me to bring it in the same day. So I did, while ill. Again, I waited hours and again they never even looked at the car. I left and told them I didn't know when I'd be able to bring the car back because of my two jobs, graduate school, and the holidays. When I contacted them after the holidays they took more than a week to respond and told me they'll look at the car, but that any cost of repair is on me. Well you all have done it again and I can't help but to think that my children's appearance had something to do with their treatment. My son Ricky Fletcher had issues when he purchased back in February and now my daughter Markita had issues tonight. I asked her not to do business with you all but the Arcadia was calling her name. They were all sold but your excellent salesperson Ricko sold her on the 2021 Telluride. She was pre approved for $54k from Capital One and was ready to deal. After being at the dealership for 5 hours she was degraded by your fiance manager Shawn McCarthy because she had questions regarding her trade in. You all first said you didn't want it because it was 2004 but she was then told she needed it plus 1k to get the 32k Telluride. Your finance manager talked to her in a very disrespectful manner while throwing her paperwork back in her face. He said he wasnt worried about her and that someone else would buy the car if she didn't. He told her it would be sold by morning and he didnt have time to play with her. I thank God I wasnt there because I would have recorded Shawns behavior for all the world to see. This is the same individual that bashed my young son but changed his tune when both I and Ricky's Godfather showed up to address similar concerns. I am advising anyone of color not to do business with Auffenberg there have been Reports made about how deals are done differently for people of color and how we are not treated with the same care and concern. I have witnessed it twice for myself as my daughter stated she walked into the dealership and no one assisted her and pushed Riko a black salesperson to help her. Ricky got the same treatment even with check in hand from Alliance Credit union. It is less than a year old, in fact it had about 16,000 miles on it. Despite utilizing the owners manual I can not get my iPhone to work with their sync system. It is all over the web, that you have have the dealer fix Ford's software defect(seriously!?! Who woulda thunk it?). Additionally I wanted the keyless entry to work. I was told that the warranty ends at 12000 miles and it was not covered!?! Now this is not advertised at all by ford and it used to be 36000 miles. We purchased a used mini van to keep as an extra vehicle. We went through our credit Union and already had financing set up, just needed them to send over a buyers order. When I got there the salesman Ryan W. said oh they are direct lenders we work with just give us your information name, Ss and income so we can pull up your application. I asked him why he need that information if the loan had already been approved. He said they had to have exact information so the credit Union would know it was us and not someone trying to obtain credit. I told him fine but under no circumstances were they to run our credit again, since it had just been run the day before. He ASSURED me it would not be. Not 20 minutes later do I get a email from Experian that I had a credit inquiry from them! We were extremely angry, however he said he didn't know how that happened. COMPLETE LIE. Then we get to finance office ( know remember I just went over everything with the credit Union the day before) They try to charge us $1200 dollars for GAP insurance. My credit Union only charges $400 for gap insurance. I know this because I just spoke with them the day before and I also had purchased a different vehicle two months before and knew what I had paid. Finance guy tried to tell us they have different Gap plans at the credit union. Yet they the credit union NEVER tried to upsell me on in the 17 years I have been a member. I will never buy from them again. One lie after another. They are the reason that car dealerships get the reputations and cheats and liars!!! AVOID!!! Update: I was contacted by Alex the Sales Manager. He went above and beyond to correct the situation. He even gave us a check for our gap insurance. read more

This was the prime example of what the absolute worst customer service I have ever experience. The counter people were extremely rude and did not acknowledge me for a good 10 minutes once I was finally acknowledged and at the time "I was the only one there " I was told to go to another Ford dealership they were not going to help. read more

They will overwhelm you with multiple salesmen and hit you with a lot of numbers. This makes it hard to focus and the deal ends up as not very good. Then Finance tries to sell you all kinds of extra things. read more

The worst!!! The dealership is not about sale and service. Bunch of people that are just selling you stuff. Car truck warranty!!!! They had given me wrong title information and held it for months!
