    I posted a comment on my personal Facebook page and discussing the frustrations my boyfriend and I were having with an install and everyone kept asking if it was Audio Express, since I never mentioned a company we were dealing with. My boyfriend bought a brand new car, fresh off the lot about two to three weeks ago. The first upgrade he wanted was to his stereo system. We got quotes from a few places, and they ended up being competition systems and some quotes were for a few more items than we were thinking we wanted. I began doing online research and suggested we try Audio Express. I reached out online, and got pretty good customer service. The person online, James Bustamante, suggested speaking with Noah at this location, and he stated he would discuss the specials I mentioned in the inquiry email. We went to the store location and asked to speak with Noah, the staff at the location seemed young but confident. Noah asked what we were looking for, and wanted to look things up on the computer rather than checking out the vehicle at all. We mentioned that the JL Audio package we saw online appeared to have all the items we were looking for, but then Noah sort of grilled us about the JL Audio package, asking where we found it and how we heard of it. My boyfriend mentioned hearing multiple ads on the radio, and I told him I saw it on the website towards the bottom of the page and recalled it contained yellow in the ad. Noah then said he found it and the package would work for our vehicle and then went outside to take a look with us. We ended up purchasing the package that day, we purchased the install, warranty and upgraded wiring as well. We were told that the package was on hand and could have been installed same day, had we come in earlier according to the receipt it was 16:49 when we made the purchase- so with that statement it sounded as if a full day would be more than enough time to get things installed. We told Noah we could not bring the vehicle in until 09/01/18 & he said we should be there at 9am- which we were. We dropped the vehicle off at 09:00 on 09/01/18 & did not hear a thing from them about the vehicle until we called at about 15:45 and were informed they had run into issues and were hoping to have the vehicle finished around 18:00, we were not happy about that, but what could we do? We got another phone call around 18:00 saying the install was complete, but there was no sound and they were having issues connecting with JL Audio. We got another call just after 18:00 and were asked to leave the car overnight, we said not possible and we would pick it up by 19:00 and then proceeded to show up just shy of the time we provided. We showed up and Noah was standing at the counter speaking on the phone to the shop manager. My boyfriend was upset, and wanted the vehicle done, so Noah asked the person on the phone to come in and get this install completed, and he could be heard pleading with the person, but clearly getting nowhere. Some time passed and Noah came back at told us he informed us when we dropped off the vehicle that we would likely have to leave it overnight. We did not leave the keys with him, he was with a customer & on the phone when we dropped off, but he did take our ticket from a binder and hand it to the person that took our keys. Further words were exchanged with Noah, not very nice from my boyfriend or him and that is when Zach stepped in to try and smooth things over. It was relayed to us that a specific technician was supposed to complete our install, as nobody else had performed one on a 2018 Dodge Challenger, and the technician failed to show up for work and refused to come in to complete the job. Another skilled technician stepped up to complete the task, but ran into some issues. We ended up waiting around until AFTER closing time to see if the vehicle would be completed. We then decided to leave the vehicle overnight when we were told they were experimenting and ended up crossing wires to get sound. There is no reason to mess things up in a brand new car, hence the reason for bringing it in for a professional installation. The location opened today at 12:00 and we got a call close to 14:00 saying the vehicle was almost ready, and could be picked up around 15:00; then we received a call about ten minutes later asking if they could drill the dash to add a remote level control for the bass, to which we agreed. Zach and Noah greeted us when we picked up the vehicle today, and things were as pleasant as they were going to be. It was nice of them to add a remote control knob for the bass, which is a good perk but does not match the all JL Audio system we were going for with the JL Audio package purchase. The JL Audio package did not even end up being a package, because the JL Audio OEM Integration (which we were told when we made the purchase was better than the one they would normally suggest) was not included. We were given an Audio Control LC7i rather than the JL OEM.

    Closed Sundays and Mondays and no appointments allowed. Dumbest thing I've heard from a place that charges by the hour.

I had purchased the Viofo A229 Pro along with the hardwiring kit, remote and micro SD card from Amazon months ago. We then went out to take a look at the car real quick. I realized that I probably should've got my window tint done before getting the dash cam installed. Oops. He estimated my car would take about 3 hours so I waited in the waiting area. There are two comfy sofas (room for 6 people), a table of snacks and candy, and mini fridge full of water for guests. Coffee/Turkish coffee was offered.     The technician created a basic workaround to get my DS18 BTC-Five Bluetooth receiver working via…read moreaux, but the setup was incomplete and poorly wired. After the install: I lost power to my 12V lighter socket, so I couldn't charge my phone. He mostly likely tapped into the same circuit as the lighter socket, causing power loss (Yeah. He didn't warn me about that before the install!) The audio was also making intermittent Bluetooth pairing failures. I would be driving and then music would stop and start again. Bluetooth phone calls stopped working--only music streamed. The install skipped key components I provided, including the fuse tap, LOC, and amp integration What I learned--and what others should know: The 3.5mm aux jack on the BTC-Five is audio-only and doesn't support calls To restore full functionality, the fuse tap must be moved to a different ACC slot so the lighter circuit isn't interrupted. For Bluetooth calls, you need to use the BTC-Five's RCA outputs and route them through a head unit or amp that supports hands-free calling. If I had known all this upfront, I probably would've skipped the install entirely and just kept using my regular USB-C to 3.5mm Audio Aux Cable Adapter. It was simpler, reliable, and didn't disable anything in my car. No wonder the guy had a weird vibe! I would have given them 5 stars if they had wired correctly, but the job was rushed and sloppy. He didn't create a solution. He created a problem! Now I'm going to have to get my brother to help me fix this. He said the tech most likely installed the tap with only one fuse (for the BTC-Five). Or inserted it backwards, cutting off power to the original circuit. Or used a single-slot tap, which reroutes power entirely to the new device. This experience taught me how to reclaim my install and turn shortcuts into teachable upgrades. If you're integrating amps or planning full audio control, skip the aux hack and wire it properly. I wasn't impressed with this install. What a total waste of money!!!!!!
